"Then I will wait for her to finish her work." He nodded at the secretary and sat on a bench next to the office’s door.
The office belonged to one of the fanciest tailors on earth; her hands were so talented that in almost any party for the rich people, two or three at least had her clothing.
Ray checked his clock; he still had half a day until his date with Rose, and this was probably not going to last that long.
"Ray, why are you sitting there? Co into my office!" A woman with long brown hair and a suit ca out from the door; unlike most other won, she didn’t have any makeup, with a ring on each of her fingers.
She took a glance at her secretary and returned to her work.
Ray followed her into an unknown place; the whole room was so colorful that he didn’t know the na of half of the colors, with numbers written everywhere and scissors and other tools.
"What is wrong with your clothes? You should act more like your character!" She observed Ray’s clothes from up close; he had worn a black shirt and pants.
"Co on, Marian, you have seen like this a lot, and each ti you say the sa." Ray sighed and moved to sit on one of the tables.
"Maybe this ti it works." She pushed a button: "Two cups of coffee with no sugar."
Marian walked to her own chair in the middle of the room and said, "So, what do you want?"
Ray watched her body moving; she had a flat chest with a small ass, but still each year she was in the top ten hottest won on earth because of her face. Every detail of her face was like it was crafted by God’s own hands.
"I have a date with soone, and I wanted to buy so of your clothing as a gift for her." He cleared his throat: "And I want you to beco my teacher."
"You want to beco a tailor?" Marian narrowed her black eyes.
"Maybe, General Moonlight..."
"Ex-general! And who told you that?"
Ray smiled. "That ti you advised on my fighting style, it made improve many tis, so I was sure that you were not just a tailor, and after many months of research, I found you." He had planned his relationship with Marian for a long ti; her biggest custor was always Ray.
The door opened, and the secretary ca in with two cups of coffee. She could sense the awkward mood in the room, but she had seen way more weird things; she just gave each of them their coffee and returned as fast as she could.
"So why now?" She took her coffee and continued, "I am aware of the attack on the tower and Aria’s trail from you, but what makes you think I’m interested?"
"I noticed how foolish I was; my understanding of the world was so small, and if I want to reach anything, I need power. Lots of it." He moved to sit on Marian’s table: "I respected your choice of being unknown, but I had no other choice. I need a ntor, and until the academy teaches anything useful, it’s going to take decades."
"Your trial with Aria—how was it?"
Ray rembered the events in that underground bunker: "She told to fight sothing called a moon-beast. It was above anything that I have ever encountered. I lost an eye and suffered so major injuries and would be dead if she hadn’t saved ."
Marian crossed her legs and said with a mocking tone, "I actually wouldn’t mind teaching you, but just like Aria, I have my own trial for an apprentice. Don’t worry, I’m not savage enough to face you with a fucking moon beast."
Ray smirked; it went better than he had expected. "I’m all in. But what is a moon-beast?"
"They are creatures that roam around the moon of planets, but most of the ti they are in their own spiritual world. It was just behind your abilities to face it."
"Then why did she task with it?" Ray’s curiosity beca even greater. To his knowledge, there was no way to kill a moon-beast before level 3.
"Because they are not looking for strong people, they are looking for the best of the best."
Marian closed the distance between them. "Let see your lust system."
Ray was happy that he was going to see her system too.

"What?" Ray jumped back from the sudden surprise. His acts had to be precise. Her level was, in hindsight, low, yet she didn’t care.
It was ti for Marian to smile at him: "It seems you have been busy with so won." Her eyes analyze Ray with a new look: "SSS n are so rare; your base stats are not that bad either." She bit her lips: "My, my, you are qualified to test for being my apprentice. But I must warn you, I’m not going to be easy on you!"
Ray enjoyed flirting; his success rate with Marian was near zero. However, there was still a chance: "Not that much. Sex is good and all, but none of them are my type."
"Oh, what is your type?"
"Take a guess." Ray shrugged.
Marian licked her lips. "I will tell you my guess if you succeed in my trial."
Ray nodded. "When will the test be?"
"Right now, of course." She returned and faced a green wall; her hands shone with a glowing moonlight.
The wall disappeared; taking its place was a stair into a dark place.
Before following him, Ray asked with a curious tone, "What should I call you?"
She didn’t return, but her voice was like a whisper: "I’m Marian, the owner of Jewel tailor shop, but you can call Marian if you want!"
