Strax stood still for a mont, watching the flow of ssages from the system and trying to make a decision.

He didn't know where to start, but ti was against him, especially now that he needed to finish creating the homunculi and, of course, go to Xenovia.

He looked around, searching for any clue, sothing that could help him understand what was happening.

He felt the weight of responsibility pressing down on his shoulders.

There was so much at stake: the future of his wives, the plan to free Xenovia, and, of course, finally being able to rest a bit without all these problems surrounding him.

"Ah... this is a ss." With a sigh, Strax walked over to the window, pulling the curtains open and allowing the morning light to flood the room.

The sun was rising on the horizon, and he could hear the distant sounds of the city waking up... the movent of carts, the murmur of people heading to work. The rhythm of the world continued, indifferent to the internal chaos he was experiencing. The Vampire Kingdom was already awake.

"I need to find a solution; I can't afford to be without the system at a ti like this," he said to himself, once again muttering the words firmly.

He looked back at the system, seeing the screen flicker with another ssage, this one a little different.

[Instruction: System Repair can be perford with a Stable Energy Core.]

"Okay... Stable Energy Core," Strax read aloud, trying to make sense of the information.

"Where the hell do I find one of these?" he thought, moving closer to the desk where his map and other artifacts were scattered.

A crumpled piece of paper was beside a detailed map of the region.

Strax picked it up, analyzing it carefully. But unfortunately, nothing around the map indicated sources of energy or anything like that, which, frankly, was expected from an old kingdom map.

[Warning: Required Energy Core: Class A Core, found in Guardians or Wyverns]

The ssage popped up.

Strax read the ssage carefully and examined the map again, finding a few things that might or might not help. Unfortunately, there were few forests in the Vampire Kingdom, but...

"These mountains... it's my only path," Strax decided, staring at the map in his hands with a hint of distrust. "I'll go there and look for so big beast that can give this Stable Energy Core, I don't have ti to waste searching for this crap."

With renewed determination, Strax tossed the map aside and grabbed his cloak, preparing to leave. The cool morning breeze touched his skin as he opened the door, and the fast-paced rhythm of the city quickly filled his ears.

At that mont, he was in Scarlet's mansion in the capital, after all, he had gone to see if he could buy so things Evelyn had requested.

The movent of people on the street, the sounds of carts, and even the song of birds seed distant, but he had a lot to do and couldn't afford to waste ti on mundane and useless things right now.

He needed to act quickly, without hesitation.

Ti was running out, and his options were limited.

Xenovia was about to be forcefully married, and he couldn't afford to waste any more ti. Additionally, there was the growing weight of his wives and the promise to free them from a prison he barely understood.

The idea of failure was never an option, but with the system corrupted, Strax felt like he was walking in the dark.

The Stable Energy Core was the key.

Guardians or Wyverns... the ssage from the System was clear, but Strax knew finding one of those creatures in the Vampire Kingdom would not be an easy task.

Mountains were his only path, and while the map showed so mountainous areas on the kingdom's outskirts, the terrain was treacherous and largely unexplored. If not for his own strength and skills, he doubted he would survive there. Even so, there was no other way.

As he walked through the city streets, Strax noticed the presence of so of the vampire guards patrolling the area. Their eyes always seed to be on him, but no one dared to approach. Given how things had unfolded on the border and everyone knowing he was with Scarlet, he wasn't exactly a discreet presence, but neither was he soone easily challenged.

"Damn system," he muttered. "Now's not the ti to corrupt itself."

The walk to the mountains would be long. Strax knew he would have to cross several dangerous areas, where the rocky and steep terrain could be a trap for those unprepared. Still, he didn't hesitate. The sense of urgency was pushing him forward, and he was determined to solve this issue as quickly as possible.

As he approached the entrance to the mountains, Strax stopped for a mont and looked out at the vast horizon. The biting wind from the mountains seed to call to him, as if the world itself were preparing to test him.

"Shit," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. "I'll just kill everything in my path until I find this shit."

He entered the mountains, his body quickly adjusting to the difficulties of the rocky terrain. Every step seed harder than the last, but Strax didn't stop. He could feel he was getting closer to what he was looking for. The System, even corrupted, was still guiding him in so way. Enjoy more content from My Virtual Library Empire

He knew he was on the right track.

Hours passed, and Strax began to notice signs of life around him. Shadows moved on the rocks, and the sound of large wings flapping in the distance made his body tense. He wasn't alone.

"Here we go," he muttered, pulling a sharp blade from his waist. His focus was now entirely on the shadows in the distance.

Suddenly, a massive figure erged from the shadows, a creature with scales as black as night and glowing red eyes. A Wyvern. Its enormous form lood against the sky, its presence almost imposing enough to bring the mountains down.

"This is what the System wanted, huh?" Strax said, his smile mixing with a touch of defiance. He knew this would be a tough fight, but he had no choice. Either he defeated the Wyvern or he wouldn't find what he needed to fix the System.

The creature let out a deafening roar, its sharp claws cutting through the air as it dove toward Strax. He jumped to the side, avoiding the direct impact and rolling to position himself on a high rock. The battle was just beginning.

With impressive agility, Strax leapt forward, the blade in his hands gleaming in the sunlight. The Wyvern attempted to strike him with its claws, but he was quick enough to dodge and plunge the blade into the creature's belly. The beast howled, but Strax didn't retreat. He knew that the blow wouldn't be enough to defeat it imdiately, but he still needed to keep the montum.

The battle between Strax and the Wyvern felt like a fight against nature itself. The monster's roar echoed through the mountain as it descended at high speed, its sharp claws and massive wings cutting through the air with devastating violence. The Wyvern was not just a massive beast; it was a force of nature, a machine of destruction that carried the weight of a thousand storms in its powerful form.

Strax, however, didn't back down. His gaze was fixed on the creature, his senses sharp and his body prepared for what was to co. He could feel the tension in the air, as if the world itself were watching their clash. The wind howled around them, pushing both combatants into an inevitable confrontation.

The Wyvern let out a deafening roar, its claws slicing through the air with the intent to tear apart anything in its path. Strax was quick, leaping to the side with impressive agility, the blade in his hands gleaming in the sunlight. The Wyvern wasted no ti and, in a violent movent, spun its body, attempting to crush Strax with the weight of its massive wings.

Strax ducked just in ti, the impact of the wings hitting the ground creating a shockwave that made the terrain tremble. The Wyvern didn't give up, spinning and quickly rising to attack again. Its claws extended like sharp blades, threatening to cut Strax to pieces. He dodged to the right, but the Wyvern was fast, its reflexes almost as quick as Strax's.

The battle turned into a deadly dance. Strax jumped and dodged, his feet barely touching the ground while the Wyvern followed him with fury. Each strike from the creature was a thunderous sound that cracked the stones and shook the nearby trees. The Wyvern's claws sliced through the air, searching for a weak point, but Strax was at his best, anticipating the creature's movents with impressive precision.

The Wyvern used its wings to create a gust of cutting wind, trying to destabilize Strax, but he reacted quickly, leaping to the left and swinging his blade to counterattack. The Wyvern defended, blocking the strike with its claws, but Strax didn't back down. He knew he couldn't rely solely on his blade — he needed to find a vulnerable point.

Minutes passed like hours, sweat dripping down Strax's forehead as he tried to find a crack in the creature's defense. His muscles were tired, his lungs panting from the pressure of the battle, but his determination never wavered. The adrenaline coursed through his veins, fueling his will to win. Every movent was calculated, each dodge a reflection of the battle unfolding in his mind.

Finally, the Wyvern made a mistake. When it lunged with a fierce strike of its claws, Strax seized the opportunity and leaped forward, defying the danger. With surprising strength, he spun to the side and slashed the Wyvern's claws with his blade. The Wyvern let out a howl of pain and tried to react quickly, but Strax was already in motion.

He jumped onto the Wyvern, quickly climbing its body while the monster tried to retaliate. Strax grabbed one of the creature's scales, using it as leverage to get closer to its neck. The Wyvern let out an enraged scream, swinging its head wildly in a desperate attempt to shake Strax off, but he wasn't going to give up.

With a final effort, Strax plunged his blade into the most vulnerable point on the Wyvern's neck. The impact was brutal, and the Wyvern let out a cry of agony. Strax didn't give the creature ti to recover; with impressive strength, he pulled the blade inward, hitting the critical point that destroyed the beast's vitality. The Wyvern shuddered before crashing heavily to the ground, its claws clashing against the rocks as its massive form collided with the earth.

Strax was breathing heavily, his arms and legs trembling with exhaustion. The creature's blood ran over the stones, staining the landscape with a deep red. The air was thick with the sll of combat, and Strax felt his muscles burning as if the effort itself had drained his energy.

He slowly approached the fallen creature, watching it as its life faded away. The Wyvern was now motionless, its once-dominant presence dwindling with each breath. Strax, with a sigh of relief, bent down and, with effort, pulled the Stable Energy Core from inside the creature. The jewel pulsed with intense energy, as if it were the heart of a new world, and Strax felt a tingling sensation run through his skin as he touched it. It was as if the System itself was responding to the energy of the Core.

He held the Core firmly. "Does this work?" he asked, but the system didn't respond. Instead, the corruption that had affected it seed to relent in the face of the pure energy from the Core.

[System received energy, but still insufficient for full purification]

"Great..." His breath was still heavy, and his body was exhausted. "I don't know why I keep hiding this shit of a transformation. I'll turn into a dragon and kill anyone I sense," he muttered.
