Chapter 482: Failed Seduction Attempt

“I must be part of so porn movie or sothing. Why is it that wherever I go, there’s always one hot woman after another?” Strax wondered, looking closely at the woman on the bed in front of him.

The soft light in the room danced on her skin as she stretched like a satisfied cat, each movent calculated to highlight the soft curves of her body. Her arms stretched upward, causing the loose T-shirt she wore to slip down slightly, revealing a seductive strip of her toned waist. A lazy sigh escaped her lips, and her half-closed eyes rested on Strax with a mixture of amusent and provocation.

“Is soone admiring the view?” She arched an eyebrow, her voice laden with a honeyed tone that made even the air around her seem thicker.

Strax, normally so imposing and serious, seed to have swallowed hard. His eyes, however hard they tried to maintain their composure, betrayed a flash of discomfort as she moved with deliberate, slow grace.

She laughed softly, a laugh that was almost a growl, and let one bare foot slide off the bed, the delicate arch of her ankle turning in a movent that seed accidental. Almost.

“So tense…” She murmured, resting her chin on her hand as she watched him. ‘Don’t you know how to relax? Or are you… afraid of where your eyes might wander?’

Her little finger lightly touched her lower lip, as if she were thinking out loud, but everything about her was pure theater. She knew exactly the effect she was having. And she loved it.

The T-shirt slipped down a little more when she leaned forward, pretending to pick sothing up from the floor—but the movent was slow, almost choreographed, and the wide neckline revealed a generous glimpse of her shoulders and the upper curve of her breasts. Strax seed to seriously consider looking at the ceiling, but she wouldn’t give him that satisfaction.

“Honey, why are you so uptight? I don’t bite.” She let out another laugh, this ti more open, and threw herself back on the bed, letting one leg bend so that her tight shorts revealed the minimum—but enough—to keep his attention captive.

She wasn’t just hot—she was intentional. Every gesture, every glance, every word was bait, and she knew that Strax, disciplined as he was, was still a man. And her? She loved playing with fire.

“So…” She clicked her tongue, playing with the hem of her T-shirt. “Are you going to stand there all day, or are you going to co over here and help … stretch properly?”

Strax looked up and let out a long sigh… “I’m so tired…”

Strax crossed his arms, his face impassive as stone, and let out a sigh so deep it seed to carry the weight of a thousand battles. His eyes, montarily disturbed, were now steady, almost bored.

“You’re as exhausting as a prolonged siege,” he muttered, raising a thick eyebrow. “Who are you, anyway? So kind of succubus? Seriously, what the hell.”

She blinked, slowly and dramatically, as if he had said sothing incomprehensible. “What do you an… you don’t know who I am?” Her voice had a tone of disbelief, mixed with a hint of indignation. It was as if he had committed a cri against the universe.

Strax frowned, completely unperturbed. “And are you that important?”

She opened her mouth, then closed it, then opened it again—sothing that clearly didn’t happen often. Her usual charm failed miserably in the face of his complete indifference.

“I—” She paused, took a deep breath, and started again, trying to regain control of the situation. “I am the most powerful sword in this world! How dare you say I’m not important!! I killed Ouroboros! Tiamat! I killed Kadragonr! I killed NYX!!! How am I not important?!”

Strax rubbed his chin thoughtfully. ‘Hmm. Sorry, I find that almost impossible to believe, considering that I’ve t all of them and they’re very much alive.’

She almost choked. “You’re kidding ! They? They’re alive?!!”

“Yes? I an, my ancestor sealed them all, killed their physical bodies, but their spirits are very much alive. Gosh, this is just… tedious.” He glanced at the imaginary watch on his wrist—Strax didn’t wear watches, but the gesture was intentionally dismissive. “Anything else? I need to get to my lovely wives who are waiting upstairs.”

She remained there, half sitting, half lying down, now with a less graceful and more… confused posture. Her charm, her half-revelations, her provocative glances—none of that worked on him. For the first ti in a long ti, she was not in control of the situation.

“Are you… are you crazy?” she spat, finally getting up from the bed with a less elegant movent than she would have liked.

Strax just nodded, serious. “Well. Yes? I an, I’m a pretty problematic guy in general.”

She opened her mouth to respond, but closed it again, frustrated. Strax was already turning away, clearly more interested in his other things than in any ga she wanted to play.

“W-wait!” she muttered, but it sounded more like a weak protest than a convincing threat.

Strax didn’t even turn around. ‘I’m not interested, your ti is up, go try to seduce soone else.’ And then he left, leaving her there, jaw dropped, questioning her entire existence.

Returning to the library, he let out a long sigh. “Sword, huh?” he muttered… He had lost all of his last swords… Now, even Artorias’ sword, which was “Indestructible,” was no longer useful for battle. After he freed the Spirit Realm, it beca completely useless.

“I’ll forge a new one… with dragon fire? It should work…” He said and returned to his focus.

Strax walked through the corridors of the library with heavy steps, his fingers sliding over the worn spines of the books without really seeing them. His eyes, normally so focused on strategy and destruction, now seed distant, almost… empty.

“Advanced Combat Techniques… Siege Strategies… The Art of War… All the sa,” he muttered, pushing a volu aside with more force than necessary. The book fell to the floor with a dull thud, but he didn’t even care.

It was all useless.

He had already mastered each of those techniques. He had already overco every challenge those pages could offer. And now, without a worthy blade in his hands, even knowledge seed empty.

It was then that he felt that presence again.

The sweet, heavy scent of jasmine invaded his nostrils even before he heard the sound of her footsteps. Strax didn’t need to turn around to know she was there, leaning against the doorfra, watching him with those eyes that now carried more curiosity than provocation.

“So… you really weren’t interested in ,” she said, her voice softer now, almost thoughtful.

Strax didn’t answer. He continued leafing through a book on ancient tallurgy, as if she didn’t exist.

She wrinkled her nose, but instead of leaving, she entered the library, her bare feet making almost no noise on the worn carpet. “Are you looking for sothing? Sothing important?”

“Observant,” Strax replied dryly. “But it’s none of your business.”

She ignored his tone and approached, stopping at a safe distance—as if she finally understood that invading his space would be a mistake. “I heard what you muttered. About… swords.”

This ti, Strax stopped. Slowly, he turned his head to face her, his eyes narrowed. “And?”

She hesitated, but then lifted her chin, a spark of determination replacing her usual air of superiority. “And… maybe I can help.”

Strax let out a short, harsh laugh. “Help? You, who spent the last few minutes trying to seduce like a drunken tavern girl?”

She didn’t flinch. Instead, she crossed her arms, and for the first ti, Strax noticed sothing different about her—sothing that wasn’t a facade.

“I’m not just that,” she said, her voice firm. “Why don’t we test our… compatibility?”
