Now reading: Chapter 606: He’s Too Damn Charming! from Depraved Noble: Forced To Live The Debaucherous Life Of An Evil Noble!, a Action novel by AGodAmongMen.

Even as Joy raced ahead through the night, her horse cutting across the darkened fields like a streak of shadow, she did not for a single second believe that her sisters could ever fall prey to Cassius’s so-called charm or manipulation.

The very thought was absurd.

After all, these were not ordinary won.

These were her chosen warriors—brilliant, unshakable, and unbending in their faith.

Each one of them was a pillar of devotion and discipline, a daughter of the Goddess, trained to resist every form of worldly temptation.

They had resisted wealth, flattery, and flesh—everything this world had to offer.

Joy’s jaw clenched as the wind whipped her hair back.

"They don’t drink wine." She murmured under her breath, almost to reassure herself. "They don’t eat at. They don’t indulge in pleasure or vanity. They have rejected every luxury, every sinful distraction..."

"...They live only for the Goddess."

And that was exactly why she had handpicked them.

Her sisters were models of self-restraint, won of unwavering will. They would see through any ploy, any trick, no matter how subtle.

She had personally trained them to spot deceit, to break manipulation apart until the truth lay bare.

There was no way Cassius, for all his charm, could corrupt them.

So whatever was happening at the mansion, it had to be sothing else entirely.

Sothing logical. Sothing explainable.

That conviction carried her all the way to the mansion gates.

But when she finally arrived—galloping straight through the open archway, her horse’s hooves thundering against the stone—and when she leapt off, running toward the loud pulse of sound that echoed from the backyard—

—her conviction shattered.

Because what she saw left her utterly speechless.

Behind her, the others caught up, their horses slowing as they too dismounted, curious and cautious.

But the mont they looked past Joy—past the fountain, past the garden and truly saw what was happening in the backyard, they stopped dead in their tracks.

Maria’s mouth fell open in astonishnt.

Aqua blinked several tis, as if trying to process what she was seeing.

Even Carla, who had walked battlefields drenched in blood looked bewildered beyond comprehension.

Isabelle, however, only sighed quietly, a small knowing smile tugging at her lips.

The once serene and elegant garden of Cassius’s estate had been utterly transford.

Where there was once a quiet fountain and neat flowerbeds, there now stood a stage.

A large, ornate platform illuminated by a sea of dazzling lights that flickered and danced in every color imaginable—blues, pinks, golds, and purples blending like magic in the night sky.

Music bood from unseen instrunts, the lody so lively and infectious that even the air seed to hum with energy.

And extending from the stage was a long, narrow platform—a runway of sorts—flanked by two seating areas filled with people.

And not just anyone.

Joy’s eyes trembled as she recognized faces in the cheering crowd.

The sisters. The holy sisters of the Church.

They were clapping, laughing, cheering as if they had abandoned every ounce of restraint they once had.

And on the stage...

Two of the sisters she knew well were walking down the runway—strutting, in fact in elegant, shimring dresses unlike anything she had ever seen.

The once somber black and white nun garnts had been replaced with gowns of bright silks and jewels, dazzling under the light.

Their hair, once bound under veils, now flowed freely, shining as they smiled and twirled at the end of the stage.

The crowd roared in applause.

"Beautiful!" Soone shouted. "You look stunning!"

"Absolutely gorgeous!"

The won blushed, laughing joyfully as they turned and walked back, replaced by another pair who stepped forward in new outfits, waving gracefully as they walked the runway.

The lights followed their every move, flaring at perfect monts as if guided by magic and with that, it was quite obvious what was going on to anyone back in Cassius’s original world.

But of course Joy had no clue what that was so she stared, speechless, her brain failing to process the absurdity.

Carla too blinked several tis, her mouth twitching as she looked around in confusion.

"What...in the world am I looking at?"

She turned toward the others.

"I don’t exactly integrate with high society much, the only noble mansions I visit are usually the ones I’m there to assassinate soone in—but I’ve never seen anything like this."

"I don’t know what this is either." Aqua, her eyes sparkling, leaned forward. "But it’s so bright and so...shiny!"

She squinted, watching the lights change color.

"It’s like...like a festival stage! But fancier!"

Maria clasped her hands together in amazent.

"Oh my heavens." She breathed, eyes wide and delighted. "It’s like so kind of show! A beautiful show where they display the dresses of won, a celebration of beauty itself!"

"And to think those are Joy’s sisters! The ones who used to wear those sa dull robes every day!"

"Yeah!" Aqua giggled. "The sa ones who used to scold for showing too much skin. Now look at them!"

"They truly look radiant." Maria chuckled warmly. "And it’s so strange—I never thought I’d see them smile so brightly."

Joy, however, was silent. Completely silent.

Her eyes moved from one familiar face to another—won who had once stood beside her in battle, who had sworn vows of purity, who had taken oaths to reject vanity and pleasure.

And yet, here they were, smiling and laughing, their faces glowing with unfiltered joy as they danced, posed, and basked in the cheers of their audience.

Her lips parted slightly, but no sound ca out.

She could even see the most devout of them—Sister Red, who had once fasted for twenty days straight in devotion to the Goddess—now wearing a glittering, silver gown and spinning to the rhythm of the music, laughing as one of the maids handed her a flower crown.

And if that was already too much, what she saw next made her heart finally stop.

Because stepping onto the stage next to the booming cheer of the crowd—was Stella.

Joy’s right hand.

Her most trusted warrior. The most disciplined, stoic, incorruptible woman in the Church.

"...Stella?" Joy whispered in disbelief.

There she was, wearing a sleek, deep-blue gown that shimred under the lights. Her hair, normally tied in a strict bun, now cascaded down her back in soft curls.

She smiled faintly, a real, warm smile that Joy had never seen on her before and waved at the crowd.

And as she gracefully reached the end of the runway, she turned toward the crowd—only to lock eyes with Joy.

The instant their eyes t, all color drained from Stella’s face.

Her smile froze, her entire body going rigid as a chill visibly ran through her before she swallowed hard, panic flickering across her face.

The cheers of the crowd faded into white noise as she realized what she’d done—what Joy was seeing.

She couldn’t run. She couldn’t hide.

But she could move.

So she did the only thing she could think of.

Instead of turning back toward the stage, Stella leapt from the runway, landing on her feet with surprising agility.

She made her way straight toward Joy, nearly tripping over the hem of her dress in her haste.

"Lady Joy!" She called out breathlessly, stumbling to a stop before her. "Please—please don’t misunderstand! I can explain— I can explain everything!"

But she froze when Joy raised one hand slightly.

The Saintess’s other hand rubbed her temple slowly, her expression not of anger, but of deep, weary disbelief. When she finally looked at Stella, there wasn’t wrath in her gaze, only exhaustion.

"There’s no need to panic, Stella." Joy said quietly, her tone calm but heavy. "You’re not in trouble. I’m not going to punish you."

"L-Lady Joy, I—"

Joy shook her head, cutting her off.

"Just calm down and tell what’s going on here. I’ve already had too many surprises for one day and I don’t even know what emotion to feel anymore."

"So, rather than watching you stamr yourself into a panic, just explain this ss. Slowly."

Stella blinked rapidly, her panic dimming a little at Joy’s steady tone. She then took a deep breath, then another, clasping her hands together in front of her.

"Y-Tes, my lady." She said finally, lowering her head. "Alright. It all started just like you ordered. After you left, we did a full sweep of the mansion—top to bottom. We checked every hallway, every corridor, every chamber."

"The backyard, the basent...everything."

Joy folded her arms, her gaze sharpening a little.

"Go on."

Stella nodded.

"We even used detection magic. I assigned Sister Eustus to lead the magical scans—she checked for any trace of curses, mana residues, even secret passages."

"There were rumors that Lord Cassius was hiding so kind of...sex dungeon beneath his basent. A place where he kept all enslaved won, so we took it seriously."

Joy’s eyes narrowed slightly. "And what did you find?"

"Nothing, my lady." Stella shook her head. "Absolutely nothing. Not even a flicker of malpractice. The place was spotless..."

"...Too spotless, honestly."

Joy’s brow furrowed. "Spotless?"

"Yes." Stella said. "It was almost unnerving, as if the entire mansion had been purified. Not even the faintest magical signature. But..."

She hesitated, biting her lip.

"We did find one room that seed...suspicious."

Carla tilted her head. "Suspicious how?"

"Well." Stella began hesitantly. "It had...chanisms. tal restraints. A few strange tools hanging on the wall. Chains, clamps—"

Maria gasped. "Chains?!"

Aqua blinked. "Tools?!"

Stella’s cheeks burned red as she flailed her hands.

"Wait—wait! It’s not what it sounds like! I thought the sa thing too at first! But then one of the maids told us that it’s actually a room where Lord Cassius and his wife’s...uh..."

"...spend private ti together."

Maria instantly turned scarlet. Aqua squeaked and looked away, face burning, while Carla rolled her eyes.

Joy just closed hers and muttered. "Of course it was."

Stella waved her hands frantically.

"We didn’t linger! We sealed it off and moved on. But after searching everything, we realized there was truly nothing else to investigate. So we gave up for the evening and sat in the living room to rest."

"And that’s when it started." Stella exhaled deeply. "The maids began rushing back and forth, carrying boxes, fabrics, and tools."

"At first, we thought sothing was wrong, maybe an attack, or an ergency. But then we saw the workers setting up a platform and lights in the backyard."

Maria tilted her head. "A stage?"

"Yes, a stage." Stella confird. "We asked what was going on, and they said Lord Cassius was hosting a Fashion Show."
