Shen Yundai sat silently on the sofa, Huangfu Ye stared at her intently, as if trying to see through to her soul.
Shen Yundai was very beautiful. Her long black hair was styled in a subtle way that gave her a gentle appearance, she had a classic oval-shaped face, delicate eyebrows, apricot-shaped eyes, a high nose-bridge, and a petite mouth. Her slim figure looked to be no more than 80 pounds.
Shen Yundai and An Xiaonuan were completely different types of girls. Shen Yundai’s beauty was not overpowering, but deeply touching.
Otherwise, Huangfu Ye wouldn’t have been with her in the first place.
“Ye, it’s been a long ti, how have you been?” Shen Yundai curved her pale pink lips slightly.

Huangfu Ye was puzzled. He had thought that when he saw this woman again, he would hate her, be angry, go crazy. But when she was actually standing before him, he felt none of that.
He only wanted an answer.
After all, it was a lingering issue that he needed her to resolve.
“That’s not true.” Shen Yundai shook her head, tears suddenly spilling out. She rushed towards Huangfu Ye, holding him tightly.
Huangfu Ye didn’t push her away, neither did he reciprocate her hug. He continued asking, “Then what’s the truth?”
“I never wanted to leave you, not at all… I… I was diagnosed with cancer that year. I was sent abroad by my family for treatnt.” Shen Yundai answered amidst her sobs.
Huangfu Ye looked at her in disbelief, pushing her away by her thin arms. He asked with a frown, “What? Cancer?”
Shen Yundai nodded, tears streaming down her face. “It was my longing for you that helped get through every round of treatnts, the will to live, to return to your side, that’s what has kept alive so far.”
Huangfu Ye wanted to disbelieve her words, he wanted to call her a liar. But as he felt her thin arms, almost like those of a child, and saw her weak appearance, he knew she was telling the truth.
