On the coffee table sat a case of canned beer. Gu Qingxin opened one and handed it to Bai Jingqing, who accepted it. Gu Qingxin then opened another one for herself, clinked his and said, "Tonight, we’re not leaving until we’re drunk."

He watched the little girl across from him who had already started drinking. He tilted his head back and drank as well. Maybe if he got drunk, his heart wouldn’t hurt so much.
Maybe he could truly let himself get completely drunk just once!
Bai Jingqing drank two cans of beer with Gu Qingxin and found it aningless, so he asked Aunt Zhou to bring two bottles of liquor.
Thus, Gu Qingxin drank beer while Bai Jingqing drank liquor. Neither said much; they just drank!

As they both got drunk, they beca more talkative.
Eventually, Gu Qingxin passed out directly on the sofa.
Bai Jingqing also fell asleep leaning on the sofa.
Aunt Zhou ca over, looking helpless, and brought two blankets to cover them.

The next day, Gu Qingxin only felt aches in her waist and back, nearly to the point of cramps in her legs, and her head hurt terribly.

"Oh, nothing! I just ant Aunt Zhou’s cooking is good; even hangover soup tastes so good," Gu Qingxin laughed awkwardly twice. With each movent, her head hurt like hell. She covered her head in pain and said, "So painful!"
"Finish drinking and then go back to your room to rest more," Bai Jingqing frowned at her.
Gu Qingxin wanted to nod but rembered that moving her head just hurt, so she dared not move anymore.
After finishing the soup, Gu Qingxin ate so breakfast, then went back to her room, showered, and slept.

After a night’s sleep, she couldn’t fall asleep at all. She could only endure the discomfort, looking gloomily at the ceiling. She swore never to get drunk again.

Two days later, Gu Qingxin received an unfamiliar phone call. She picked it up, intending to ask who it was, only to hear a sowhat familiar voice inside: "Miss Gu... have you been well recently?"
