"With Huangfu Ye around, if anything happens, he’ll let know, and I’ll handle it," Beiming Han replied.
"Let’s have sothing to eat first."
When he arrived, he brought a platter of fruit.
Gu Qingxin almost drooled at the sight of the fruit. She began to eat eagerly, squinting her eyes with satisfaction.
Beiming Han watched her, smiling happily, "Xin’er, do you know? We have another Baobao."
After getting up, Beiming Han took Gu Qingxin for a walk in the back garden and the greenhouse. Gu Qingxin picked a bouquet of roses to decorate the bedroom.
After dinner, Beiming Han personally fed her the dicine and accompanied her to watch TV for a while.
When it was bedti, Gu Qingxin washed up and returned to bed.
A few minutes later, Beiming Han also finished washing up and lay down on the bed. He approached her from behind, making Gu Qingxin’s body tense. Beiming Han embraced her and gently placed his hand on her belly.
"Don’t be nervous. I said I wouldn’t touch you, and I won’t. Relax and sleep."
Beiming Han’s big hand didn’t move away. Even though the Baobao might still be very small, when his hand rested on her belly, he felt sothing truly magical.
He seed to be able to feel the growth of this little life.
Gu Qingxin nervously clutched the blanket, but seeing him just holding her gently, without any other actions, she finally relaxed.
The next day, Gu Qingxin got up early as she had promised to visit Xiao Yi.
Beiming Han watched her bustling in the kitchen and wanted to help.
"What are you doing?" Beiming Han asked her.
"Making a cake for Xiao Yi. That little foodie loves cake," Gu Qingxin replied.
"You could just buy one; why go through the trouble?"
Now that she was pregnant, Beiming Han naturally didn’t want to see her overexert herself.
"Doing things for the ones you love is a joyful thing, how can it be tiring?" Gu Qingxin didn’t feel tired at all.
Beiming Han’s lips curved up. He felt truly lucky to have t such a wonderful girl.
After breakfast, Gu Qingxin’s cakes were all baked. She packed them into a beautiful box, and together with Beiming Han, they got into a car heading to the hospital.
When they arrived at Xiao Yi’s ward, Gu Qingxin had just entered when he slled the aroma of cake. He was so happy he almost jumped up, but luckily Ye Yingsu caught him in ti.
"It slls so good, Sister Qingxin, did you make these yourself?" Xiao Yi opened the cake box with delight, his eyes narrowing into slits as he smiled.
Seeing Xiao Yi’s happiness, Gu Qingxin felt that her small effort was completely worth it. She nodded, "Yes, try it and see how it tastes."
Xiao Yi took a piece, took a bite, and it was fragrant, soft, and crispy — simply delicious.
"It’s so good, thank you, Sister Qingxin! Only by being with Sister Qingxin can I get to eat such good food!"
Ye Yingsu’s forehead was lined with three black streaks, "You little guy, are you saying that your mom can’t do anything? Is that a complaint?"
"Who would dare? Mom is the best mom in the world... but it’s true you can’t do much. When Uncle Xiao Huo marries you, he’ll be the unlucky one," Xiao Yi stuck out his tongue.
"I’m used to it, as long as your mom doesn’t point a gun at people all the ti, I’m satisfied!" Lan Liehuo grinned.
"What does that have to do with you?" Ye Yingsu frowned.
"Mom, aren’t you going to marry Uncle Xiao Huo?" Xiao Yi said with innocent eyes while eating the delicious cake.
