Capítulo 1189: Chapter 894: Lively (First Update)
“43 hours, that’s a bit long.”
Su Mo pondered for a mont and muttered to himself.
“Boss, why don’t we speed it up? Given this ship’s performance, we should be able to cut down on the ti.”
Zhang Hao suggested.
Su Mo picked up the Statistical Ring and checked the real-ti status of the mission displayed on it.
It showed 234 rescue personnel and 0 fatalities.
Phase one of the mission: Reach Mist Star within 60 hours. Any rescue personnel deaths before the end of phase one’s countdown are not counted as a failure. If it cannot be updated in real-ti, please arrive within the specified ti. Any automatic updates on deceased personnel at that ti also won’t be considered a failure. If you do not arrive within the specified ti, it will be marked as a failure.
“No need, we have plenty of ti. Just follow behind the main force, neither too fast nor too slow. As the saying goes, the tall tree catches the wind; rushing won’t do us any good, we can speed up on the way back.”
Su Mo patted Zhang Hao’s shoulder and said.
“Uh, okay.”
Zhang Hao instantly felt it made a lot of sense.
At this mont, a confused inquiry suddenly echoed in the communication channel.
“What’s happening? I just set off and already many rescue personnel nas are blacked out? The death count keeps ticking up; are you all seeing changes too?”
“Mine too!”
“Damn, at this rate, everyone will be dead by the ti I get there, what’s the point of rescue then?”
“Ah~ another group of casuals? Didn’t they read carefully?”
“Damn~ who are you calling a casual? Want to punch you?”
…
Su Mo quickly checked his bracelet and found that his mission’s real-ti status showed no change.
He wore a puzzled expression; does this an his luck is better?
Or is his mission circumstance safer?
Su Mo thought for a while and decided not to dwell on this issue. Anyway, all he needed was to adhere to the mission’s tiline and process, real-ti updates or not didn’t really impact him.
…
Fifteen hours later, the massive starship fleet advanced rapidly through the cosmos.
Nurous monsters breaking through the safety blockade continuously attacked the fleet.
Fierce battles erupted from ti to ti. Fortunately, the number of rescue ships greatly outnumbered the attacking monsters, so the level of danger was barely acceptable.
All this was predicated on the Star Ring City’s fleet blocking the majority of monsters.
If they were to directly face a tidal wave of monsters…
The situation likely would not have been the sa.
At this ti, so people piloting transportation ships for rescue, noticing the severe level of danger, started maneuvering their ships closer to the larger and stronger vessels.
Trying to see if they could latch onto so relative safety.
On the Shadow, Sun Duoxiang turned to Su Mo and complained: “Boss, a lot of transportation ships and small escort ships are edging towards us, clinging on to us.”
“Be open-minded.”
Su Mo replied nonchalantly.
“Boss, it’s not that I’m not open-minded, but there’s one class 2 escort ship that’s ridiculously shaless. It keeps flying in front of us; wherever we try to move, it moves too, it’s shaless to the extre, and I feel like blasting its tail!”
Sun Duoxiang was so enraged his teeth itched.
“Alright, let them cling. Don’t you see there’s no space above, below, left, or right?”
Su Mo didn’t have ti for these matters; he was remaining vigilant, using the Fake Owner·Swallower.
As they delved deeper into the Eden Star Domain, the number of monsters surrounding them exponentially increased.
Su Mo even saw several wormholes and space rifts through the Fake Owner·Swallower, not far from the safe travel route.
Additionally, it must be acknowledged, the Star Ring City’s fleet was incredible. A regular army is indeed potent; their combat strength is unbeatable.
Those tidal wave of monsters kept crashing against the defense line, only to be held back.
Su Mo silently gave them a thumbs-up in his heart, hoping they could hold out longer until his return journey.
Just then, Su Mo suddenly furrowed his brow and his eyelid twitched sharply.
He saw a red dot break through and charging swiftly towards the fleet; he imdiately issued an order.
“Zhang Hao, quickly deviate the ship widely to the right, follow the right route.”
“Understood.”
Zhang Hao obeyed without a second thought, steering the Shadow to the right.
Sun Duoxiang imdiately bead with delight, grinning as he said to Su Mo: “Boss, I knew you’d be on my side. Just like this, don’t give those freeloaders a chance to mooch.”
Su Mo ignored Sun Duoxiang, his brow remaining tightly furrowed.
At this mont, the Shadow’s scanning radar emitted a piercing alarm.
“Warning, V-type General Level Polluted Alien Species·Corrupted Moth detected.”
Soon after, a holographic image popped up showing a terrifying monster shaped like a moth, its entire body covered in grayish patterns, spanning a thousand ters, its head adorned with insect-like antennae, its giant wings dotted with pairs of gray eyes, approaching rapidly.
Qian Chengxue’s heart skipped a beat; she inford Su Mo: “Su Mo, a V-type monster is attacking from the left direction towards the fleet.”
“No worries, let’s see how it unfolds! We are in the right area, relatively safe for now, but don’t let your guard down, prepare conventional weapons.”
Su Mo issued orders calmly.
“Yes!”
Zhang Hao quickly took action.
Before long, that V-type Elite Level Polluted Alien Species·Corrupted Moth approached the fleet, its giant wings unfolding, revealing countless open eyes.
Gray beams of light swept across the fleet.
Rumbling~
Starships exploded in space like paper constructs.
At this mont, the public channel resounded with cries of terror.
“Help!”
“What kind of monster is this!”
“It’s coming for us!”
“Why is there such a strong monster, what’s Star Ring City’s fleet doing!”
….
In an instant, the V-type monster wreaked havoc akin to a wolf among sheep, engaging in a massacre at will.
Starships plumted like teors.
The public channel filled with wails of despair.
“Soone help us!”
“We quit this mission!”
“Where’s the Federation’s Star Destroyers, and Galmotos Empire’s Star Destroyers, are you all blind? The monster is killing us, and you won’t act.”
…
Unfortunately, upon realizing it’s a V-type monster, and even a General Level, every ship was desperate to avoid it; who would risk their lives to help.
Otherwise, given the number of ships, encircling and slaying a single V-type General Level monster should be easy.
The V-type monster inevitably tore into the fleet’s interior.
Sun Duoxiang’s eyes widened in anxiety, “Boss, it’s coming at us, what should we do?”
“Don’t panic, stay calm.”
Su Mo squinted his eyes, his heart also lifted. If they were targeted, it might turn into another fierce battle.
