Fezack also coughed and said to Su Mo, "Brother, thank you so much for helping in the fight. We all rember this favor. However, shouldn’t you co down now? You’ve been controlling the cha for too long, which isn’t very appropriate and breaks the rules a bit. It’s not that we don’t trust you, but that dim-witted AI out there will start complaining again!"

"Oh, oh, no problem."

Su Mo quickly exited the super neural link, returning control to Angelo.

"Thanks for your hard work."

Angelo gratefully said to Su Mo.

Fezack instructed his subordinates present, "Bring all our fallen brothers’ bodies; we’re withdrawing! We’ll co back to clean up later."

"Yes!"

The subordinates present responded one after another.

...

After a long while, Fezack led everyone up out of the sky pit.

The AI, called Prisoner, imdiately controlled the waveguide ball to fly over, while the surrounding chanical weapons quickly enclosed them.

Fezack looked at the scene in front of him and yelled irritably, "Get out of my way, or I won’t hesitate to dismantle you! This is insane, why surround us?"

The chanical weapons on site turned their heads to look at the AI, called Prisoner, and then scattered.

"Have you successfully reclaid it, Prison Director Fezack?"

The AI, called Prisoner, asked.

"You’ve scanned it already, do you still need to ask? Yes, I have successfully reclaid it. Why?"

Prison Director Fezack responded in a very good mood.

The AI, called Prisoner, said, "Prison Director Fezack did well. Please bring the items to the central control room; I will personally oversee their protection."

"No need, I will personally keep them safe. You don’t need to worry."

Fezack gestured dismissively.

"These items are what Icaroya City Lord wants; they belong to the highest-level sequence. I don’t trust anyone else; only I can watch over them properly."

The AI, called Prisoner, retorted bluntly.

"No need, I can keep them safe too. I will personally hand them over to Lord Icaroya later."

Without any hesitation, Fezack directly refused. Joking aside, after losing so many people to retrieve the items, handing them over to this guy would an losing the credit.

"Prison Director Fezack, I now suspect that you are trying to take the items for yourself."

The AI, called Prisoner, directly questioned.

Fezack almost spat out blood; he replied angrily, "Don’t speak nonsense. I never thought of taking them for myself. I just think it’s safest for to keep them."

"Through my calculations, placing them with is the safest option. My underground central control has eighteen layers of fire interception and various locking chanisms that can more effectively ensure the safety of the items. It’s the safest choice to keep them with ."

The AI, called Prisoner, asserted undeniably.

"What if I refuse? My authority is no less than yours."

Fezack was also getting angry.

"If you refuse, I am authorized to assu you have malicious intent. You should know that the previous Prison Director attempted to take these items for personal gain, which led to a revolt. I now have reason to suspect that you might be similarly influenced."

"You’re insane; on what grounds do you assu malicious intent? And do you even have the authority? Only Lord Icaroya can pass judgnt on ."

"Since we can’t currently contact Lord Icaroya, I will initiate the special rights granted by Lord Icaroya. I will upload all reports to Lord Icaroya afterwards."

The AI, called Prisoner, stated firmly.

Fezack wanted to curse out loud; this guy was a complete idiot. But he held back. Ever since the incident in the old prison, his authority had been severely restricted due to the new dual Prison Director system.

Moreover, the previous Prison Director had stumbled on these matters, so the idiot did indeed have higher authority on this.

However, Fezack was very reluctant to hand over the items.

The prison officers present were all shocked and stunned. They didn’t expect that Prison Director Fezack and the AI, called Prisoner, would argue to such an extent.

There could be a severe conflict between the two sides, sothing that had never happened in history.

Su Mo watched the scene, also dumbfounded. Were they really going to fight?

"Prison Director, what should we do now? We can’t really hand over the items to it, can we?"

Angelo inquired softly to Fezack.

Fezack raised his hand to signal Angelo not to speak. His expression changed several tis, and finally he compromised, saying, "Fine, you keep them. But you should be well aware of what these items are, right? Proper protection must be ensured!"

"I will adhere to the highest sequence of item custody protocols."

The AI, called Prisoner, replied calmly through the Night Guard cha.

"Alright, I’ll bring them to you right away!"

Fezack didn’t say much more.

...

Soon after, Fezack brought the items to the deepest part of the underground central control room.

The AI, called Prisoner, projected a virtual image, controlled the tal floor to split open, and a special platform rose up.

"Place the box on top."

Fezack hesitated for a few seconds, then finally placed the box on the platform.

In an instant, a cover rose from the platform, enclosing the box.

"I appreciate your cooperation, Prison Director Fezack. Once Lord Icaroya returns, I will submit the relevant report."

The AI, called Prisoner, said.

"I hope you don’t screw it up."

Fezack snorted coldly, extrely annoyed, and turned to leave.

After Fezack left, the doors to the central control closed slowly.

At this mont, the center of the massive chanical pillar split open, and a gray tal ball floated out, circling around the platform covered by the light screen, scanning the box from all angles.

"Confirm the sealing box is intact, with no signs of tampering."

"Confirm successful recovery of secret item No. 02: The Lost Negative God Fragnt."

The seventh level of the Endless Deep Space Prison.

Angelo personally escorted Su Mo back to his cell, while the other surviving prisoners were also driven back to their cells, leaving the entire cell block in chaos.

"Brother, you’ve worked hard. Take a good rest now. Once I’m done tidying things up here, I’ll find you so fun to enjoy."

Angelo said to Su Mo.

"Fun? Pleasure? Cough, cough, we’re all brothers here, no need to be so formal. Saying that makes you sound like a stranger."

Su Mo was taken aback, then replied with a cheerful smile.

He was also secretly pleased; after all, he had done his part tonight.

When the Prison Director reports the credits, he has to ntion , right? Maybe my sentence will be reduced?

Even if not, at least I should have gained so favor with the Prison Director Fezack and Angelo, making my ti in the cell less difficult.

"You’re right; I shouldn’t have been so formal. I won’t say more. From now on, your problem is my problem. Feel free to do as you please in this prison — take a good rest first."

Angelo nodded firmly.

"Okay, go ahead and get busy."

Su Mo replied with a cheerful nod.
