"Try to speak less, and you might inhale less."
Mondox didn’t care about any of that; he ran straight into the depths of the ruins.
Su Mo and the others imdiately followed.
Compared to the fierce battles outside, the entire ruins were eerily quiet, sending chills down their spines.
Su Mo stayed alert of his surroundings to avoid a surprise attack by any remaining monsters. He sowhat missed the Fake Owner, Swallower.
If that guy were here, he wouldn’t need to be so on edge; at least it would be keeping watch for him.
Soon, they arrived at the Sky Pit area.
Long Ke took a glance at the bottomless Sky Pit and couldn’t help swallowing hard.
"Are you sure you want to climb down barehanded?"
"Yes, it should be fine. Before, many prisoners operated Exoskeleton Armor to descend. Lots of footholds were made on the jagged tal walls, so it should be okay if we’re careful."
Mondox, without a word, started climbing down first.
"Follow him."
Tilo was the first to follow, thinking that if Mondox was confident enough to climb down, she had nothing to fear.
Su Mo, Kendi, and Yan Gang also followed without hesitation.
Only Long Ke showed a hint of fear, but he eventually gritted his teeth and followed suit.
Su Mo cautiously climbed down.
The jagged tal walls of the entire Sky Pit had many protruding steel bars, providing climbing leverage.
As they climbed deeper, the gray mist in the air thickened, with visibility almost reduced to two or three ters.
The air slled more and more unpleasant, causing discomfort when inhaled.
Yet Su Mo endured it, focusing intently and not daring to lose concentration — one slip and he might really fall down.
If they fell into the Biological Pool encircling the platform below,
they would probably dissolve into a puddle of water, and no kind of Genetic Potion would help.
After more than an hour.
Su Mo and the others gradually approached the bottom, beginning to faintly perceive the platform’s outline.
At this mont, Mondox twisted his body and forcefully kicked the wall, leaping toward the platform.
"So bold; we must be at least seventy to eighty ters high still."
Long Ke’s eyelid twitched violently.
"He did the right thing; we must jump now, or we won’t clear the circular Biological Pool later."
Su Mo’s pupils shrank, and he unhesitatingly leaped down as well, curling his body mid-air.
Next, Su Mo landed on the ground, rolling over to absorb as much impact as possible.
Tina and Kendi followed down, landing smoothly.
Only Long Ke hesitated about the height, inwardly wanting to back out.
At this mont, Yan Gang grabbed Long Ke’s hand and flung him, then leaped down himself.
"Help!"
Long Ke couldn’t help but shout.
Su Mo extended his hand, precisely catching Long Ke.
"Finally saved, thank you so much."
Long Ke gratefully said to Su Mo.
"Stop talking, hurry and follow up."
Su Mo put Long Ke down and headed after Mondox.
By this ti, Mondox was already heading to the central stairway passage without stopping.
After entering the underground laboratory area.
Everyone looked around, seeing no significant differences here compared to before, except the ergency lights in the corridor corners were on. The Prison Soldiers who previously ca down to clear the ruins probably repaired the ergency lighting system here.
"Which way to go?"
Tilo asked.
"Just follow ."
Mondox imdiately turned right, entering a narrow, inconspicuous passageway.
Then, they zigzagged and turned everywhere.
Su Mo slightly frowned, recalling the map of the laboratory area that Angelo had shown him.
If he rembered correctly, Mondox was now leading them towards a corner that seed like a dead end.
Could it be that Mondox left sothing out when submitting the map?
"What’s wrong, big brother?"
Long Ke sensitively noticed Su Mo’s subtle change in expression and asked quietly.
"Nothing."
Su Mo didn’t say much; he planned to take things step by step and see where Mondox was leading them.
To prevent being caught unawares, Su Mo intentionally quickened his pace to stay a bit closer to Mondox, ready to react at the first sign of trouble.
Half an hour later, Mondox led Su Mo and others to the end of a corridor, where a imposing tal wall stood before them. It was a dead end.
"Are you sure it’s here?"
Tilo asked with a frown, as this place didn’t seem like it housed a ship.
"Yes."
Mondox raised his hand, feeling around the wall.
Su Mo and the others quietly watched, but there was no response for a long ti.
"Let try, I’m quite adept at this."
Long Ke said, volunteering with a grin.
"Alright."
Mondox stepped back, giving the position to Long Ke.
Long Ke imdiately went forward, lightly knocking on the tal wall with a raised hand, listening intently.
Just then, Mondox, who had stepped back, leaned against the right tal wall, pushing with force. Suddenly, it spun like a revolving tal door, and Mondox retreated inside.
"Not good!"
Su Mo and Tilo sensed sothing amiss at once, rushing in simultaneously.
Upon entering the room, it was utterly dark inside, without a hint of light, making it impossible to see anything initially.
But this couldn’t deter Su Mo and Tilo; relying on faint sounds, they blindly pursued in the sa direction.
Long Ke and the others realized trouble as well, imdiately following them.
At this mont, suddenly, the entire area’s lights ca on, and Su Mo and Tilo abruptly halted, bodies stiffening.
A hundred-ter-tall Biological cha, the Prison Suppressing Envoy, stood up before them, with a red tallic dinosaur head and a body covered in red scale-like armor. It was massive, wielding a blood-red giant axe, with a hundred-ter-long tallic tail and six pairs of chanical Wings embedded at its back, along with nine special suppressing steel tubes, exuding a presence of violence and power.
Its crimson eyes stared intently at Su Mo and Tilo.
Su Mo and Tilo retreated in unison, realizing they were unard, without even Bio Armor.
Against a Biological cha of the V generation, they had nothing to fight with.
They were truly caught off guard, never imagining being betrayed; Mondox hadn’t brought them to get a ship but a cha instead.
"It’s over, over!"
Long Ke said, trembling.
They watched as Mondox raised the blood-red giant axe and pointed it at Su Mo and the others.
Su Mo and the others dared not move; any movent ant certain death.
---------------
Underground central control.
The Prisoner AI hovered in mid-air.
Holographic images appeared around it.
In front of it, the holographic image it monitored was none other than Prison Director Fezack.
It emitted a distorted synthetic chanical voice saying:
"Foolish beings, do you really think cutting the power lines will stop my mastery of the prison? I am God; God is omnipotent. Slowly die in despair."
