Morning on the Shadow.
Su Mo rarely lay in bed, sleeping soundly, while Qian Chengxue leaned beside him.
Knock, knock~
A series of hurried knocks at the door sounded, accompanied by Sun Duoxiang’s urgent voice.
"Boss, wake up, wake up!"
Su Mo suddenly opened his eyes, flipped out of bed, and reached for the clothes hanging nearby.
At this mont, Su Mo suddenly froze.
"What? Su Mo, you can move!"
Qian Chengxue watched this scene, speaking in disbelief.
"Really."
Su Mo was also a bit skeptical, but to be cautious, he quickly lay back down.
"I’ll get the door."
Qian Chengxue then tidied her pajamas and got out of bed to open the door.
Su Mo, anwhile, was preoccupied with the fact that he could move, so he didn’t bother scolding Sun Duoxiang. Instead, he asked, "So early, what’s the matter?"
"Well, Lord Spade, Wang Hai, and the others are coming to see you, and they’re almost here, so I hurried over to let you know."
Sun Duoxiang quickly explained to Su Mo.
Upon hearing this, Qian Chengxue quickly grabbed so clothes and ran to the bathroom to change.
Su Mo also wanted to change clothes or sothing, but thought it over and decided against it, so he said to Sun Duoxiang.
"Alright, I get it. Go on with what you need to do."
"Okay."
Sun Duoxiang nodded repeatedly and left.
Before long, Qian Chengxue changed quickly, tidied up her appearance, and ca out of the bathroom.
Then she briefly tidied up the room.
A few minutes later, a sound of footsteps approached.
Before long, Spade led the way in, with Wang Hai wearing a Federation General’s uniform walking beside him. Rose and a few others, wearing Admiral’s uniforms, followed behind.
"Lord Spade, Wang Hai, Rose, you’ve arrived."
Su Mo greeted them with a smile.
"I heard you were badly injured. How are you, feeling any better?"
Spade smiled as he spoke.
"Much better."
Su Mo responded in a rather good mood.
"I told you, you’re so strong, you wouldn’t easily have any trouble."
Wang Hai seed quite pleased to see Su Mo in good spirits.
"Haha, still okay. But Wang Hai, you’ve got quite the promotion quietly to General, when are you treating us?"
Su Mo teased with interest.
"Nothing worth celebrating. If you want, anyti, it’s been you not wanting it."
Wang Hai replied indifferently.
"Wang Hai, didn’t you hear, Su Mo is hinting for you to treat."
Rose laughed and explained to Wang Hai.
"Oh, I see. Once you’re well, eat as you please, my treat!"
Wang Hai generously guaranteed, thumping his chest.
"Alright!"
Su Mo didn’t stand on ceremony and was genuinely happy to et old friends.
Then Spade spoke to Su Mo, "Take good care of yourself. If you face any difficulties, let the Federation know."
"No problem. By the way, Lord Spade, weren’t you on Ceres? How did you end up here?"
Su Mo asked curiously.
"Well, the Star Gate’s opened, so we transported a huge amount of resources extracted from Ceres back and ca over to see you on the way."
Spade explained casually.
"Oh, that’s it."
Su Mo ca to a realization.
"Su Mo, get better soon. Now that the Star Gate is stable, the whole world is bustling. Tons of people are coming to Ceres through the Star Gate; the whole place has beco a treasure hunting haven."
Rose told Su Mo about the situation outside.
"Alright, I’ll do my best."
Su Mo smiled back.
At this mont, Spade took out a card from his sleeve and handed it to Su Mo.
"This is for you."
"Ah? What’s this?"
Su Mo was slightly stunned.
"There’s 200 billion Star Coins on this, use it! Let us know if it’s not enough."
Spade instructed straightforwardly.
"Isn’t this inappropriate, so much money."
Su Mo was also taken aback, as it was an enormous sum, enough to buy a Star Destroyer before. Even though Star Destroyers have skyrocketed, feeling a bit of inflation, that’s only limited to such weapons. For other things, Star Coin’s purchasing power remains strong.
Thinking about that, Su Mo felt the Star Destroyer, Phantom Flower, he bought back then was a real bargain. If he’d known, he would’ve bought more.
Of course, Su Mo was just thinking, as he didn’t have that much money at the ti.
Spade shook his head, speaking solemnly to Su Mo, "There’s nothing inappropriate, this was decided after discussing with the President of Alles Council. And don’t worry about the Federation’s finances, the Federation is now very different, financially very stable, and we’re planning on making big acquisitions soon."
"Oh, then I won’t stand on ceremony."
Su Mo didn’t refuse further.
"Take good care of your injuries, don’t worry about anything."
Spade instructed Su Mo.
"I will."
"Alright, we’re leaving now."
"So soon, not staying a bit longer?"
Su Mo was slightly taken aback.
"No, there’s still a lot of matters to handle. Not to ntion, arrangents for the brothers who sacrificed themselves haven’t been properly settled yet."
Spade sighed slightly at this point.
"Alright, take care."
Su Mo didn’t insist further.
Spade turned to Qian Chengxue, "Qian Chengxue, I’m leaving Su Mo in your care."
"Rest assured, I’ll take good care of him."
Qian Chengxue nodded earnestly.
Before long, Spade and the others left, leaving just Su Mo and Qian Chengxue in the room.
Qian Chengxue then excitedly said to Su Mo, "Su Mo, why don’t you try getting out of bed again?"
"Okay."
Su Mo then tried getting out of bed again, and found he really had regained his mobility.
