"Alright, let’s head to the hangar! Salile, I’ll leave things here to you, respond to any anomalies imdiately."
Su Mo didn’t waste any words.
"Understood, Commander!"
Salile replied affirmatively.
Before long, Su Mo piloted the Light of Sin Abyss, accompanied by ten chas, flying out from the Grey Fin.
Among the ten accompanying chas, one was a Fake V Generation Pure chanical cha·Shadow, piloted by Karn, while the remaining nine were IV Generation Pure chanical cha Night Guards.
They flew swiftly towards the distant Freedom Fortress.
Along the way, Su Mo carefully observed the surroundings, yet everything appeared normal without any issues detected.
The creator·Swallower spoke to Su Mo.
"Be cautious, it’s too quiet here, excessively so. Under normal circumstances, there should be at least so wandering monsters; don’t let it be your downfall."
"I understand."
Su Mo replied calmly.
Monts later, Su Mo and the others approached the Freedom Fortress.
At this ti, they could more directly perceive the state of the Freedom Fortress, which appeared extrely shocking.
Karn signaled to Su Mo using tactical gestures, indicating there was a damaged entry point nearby.
Su Mo imdiately maneuvered his cha to lead the way to the breach.
The breach revealed a mass of fractured steel structures and so wires, but the wire ends were not sparking.
Preliminary assessnt suggested that the entire fortress should be in a power-outage state, at least this damaged area was.
Su Mo activated the night vision system and led the way inside.
Karn and others followed Su Mo in an orderly manner, while those who hadn’t yet entered controlled their chas to remain vigilant, their alertness heightened.
Quickly, Su Mo navigated through the breach, arriving at a hangar.
Tattered chanical wreckage was visible everywhere, and there were many bloodstains on the ground, though these had dried up and blackened.
It was clear that a considerable amount of ti had passed since they were left.
However, no bones or biological remnants were visible on the ground.
Karn maneuvered his cha to crouch down, inspecting carefully, then reported to Su Mo using a short-range, interference-proof communication device.
"Preliminary judgnt based on the bloodstains suggests it’s been at least a year. No remains are visible on the scene; odds are, they were consud by monsters. Commander, you might have to prepare yourself ntally for the possibility that the rescue requestors are completely wiped out."
"Hmm, got it."
Upon hearing this, Su Mo furrowed his brow, replying in a low voice.
"Of course, we cannot rule out the presence of survivors, but this Freedom Fortress is sizeable, and it’s unrealistic for the eleven of us to search it. I recomnd we locate the central control first to access the data and understand what happened. If conditions permit, Salile can dispatch a large team for a thorough search then."
Karn proposed to Su Mo.
"Feasible."
Su Mo thought for a mont and agreed.
"Commander Su Mo, do you know the exact location of the central control room?"
Karn quickly asked.
"I don’t know, forgot to ask Augustus for the Freedom Fortress’s layout, a bit troubleso."
Su Mo regretted montarily. However, it was unavoidable as the previous timing was too urgent to consider everything.
"No worries, exploring along the way, we’ll find it eventually; under normal circumstances, guide markers are present between passages."
Karn didn’t elaborate further, indicating it might be slightly troubleso but not overly problematic.
"Alright, let’s move."
Su Mo imdiately operated his cha to walk out of the hangar.
At this mont, Su Mo was exceedingly concerned about the safety of Li Rui and the others, hoping they were still alive.
