28: Chapter 28: Observation 28: Chapter 28: Observation “Here’s the deal, Lan Xi’s team was wiped out, which is quite common.

Sisters present here, have any of your teams suffered losses, and is anyone looking to add new mbers?

Lan Xi’s overall performance in the training camp is still pretty decent.”

No sooner had Sister Wu finished speaking than everyone fell silent.

No one was willing to take Lan Xi in, and of course nobody was foolish enough to be the first to speak up and object.

Watching this scene, Tang Zhi’s smile grew even wider.

Lan Xi felt extrely dejected and lowered her head, though she had anticipated this mont, it still felt very unpleasant.

Seeing that no one spoke up, Sister Wu turned to look at another girl.

“Zhuo Li, didn’t your team lose three people?

How about taking Lan Xi into your team?”

Upon hearing Sister Wu’s words, Zhuo Li replied with a look of grievance, “Sister Wu, aren’t you making things more difficult for ?

I’m already dragging along Xiao Yi as a burden, if you push another one onto , how can I lead the team!”

Joking aside, who would want to lead soone who betrays friends for glory, only to be betrayed by them later.

Moreover, they didn’t like Lan Xi to begin with.

Before any troubles arose, countless boys would hover around her daily, and she always acted aloof and indifferent.

Hearing Zhuo Li’s words, Sister Wu took a deep breath.

Although she was annoyed, she couldn’t really force Zhuo Li.

So she looked at the other sisters present.

Each team had suffered losses to so extent, and previously they each had been applying with her for more mbers, now they were dodging faster than anyone else.

“Does no one want her?”

“Sister Wu, please don’t make it hard for us anymore, the guild’s benefits for those who survive are so good.

We don’t want to be arbitrarily eliminated and relegated to logistics off the line.”

A girl, rather blunt in her deanor, spoke up without any courtesy.

Typically, official mbers of the guild could collect high salaries daily online; those who contributed creatively earned even more.

But those who unfortunately died in action would be moved off the line and turned into intelligence gatherers, earning much less.

“I do have a spot available, but it depends on whether Lan Xi is willing to join.”

Tang Zhi suddenly spoke up.

Everyone looked at Tang Zhi with mild surprise, and several girls asked with uncertainty.

“Sister Tang Zhi, you want to take her in?”

“I don’t want to either, but look how troubled Sister Wu is!”

Tang Zhi affected a concerned look for Sister Wu, thinking to herself that if Lan Xi agreed to join her team, she would have a complete chance to set her up.

If she refused, it would just make her seem more pretentious and everyone would only get more annoyed with her.

Just as Lan Xi was gritting her teeth, ready to refuse, Sister Wu spoke up, “No need, your team hasn’t lost many mbers.”

Sister Wu wasn’t foolish; she was very clear about the petty intrigues among the girls, having engaged in them herself in the past.

“It’s okay, one more won’t make a difference.”

Tang Zhi responded with a smile.

“No need, since none of you are willing, Lan Xi, you can join my team.”

Sister Wu turned to Lan Xi and said.

Lan Xi nodded slightly and said to Sister Wu, “Thank you, Sister Wu.”

“Alright, everyone can break up now.”

Sister Wu said to the many sisters present.

The sisters smiled and said nothing, dispersing one after another.

After everyone had left, Sister Wu patted Lan Xi on the shoulder and said, “Don’t mind the looks of others, just work hard, they aren’t you and can’t fully understand your bitterness.”

“I understand, Sister Wu.”

“Alright, I have other things to take care of, I have to go now.”

“Okay.”

Lan Xi nodded and responded.

Sister Wu had left.

Lan Xi turned her head to look around.

The mbers of the guild had all gone.

Although Sister Wu had ultimately taken her in, sparing her from being teamless.

Yet, Lan Xi felt unbearably uncomfortable inside, realizing she had been completely isolated.

Among those sisters just now, so she had previously had decent relationships with, but none had said a word from start to finish.

She walked to a corner and sat down alone, curling her legs, burying her head between them.

Tears fell drop by drop.

She knew she had really done sothing wrong, but she truly had no choice.

If she couldn’t survive in the ga, all hope would turn into past mories…

Cool breezes blew gently, making Lan Xi feel colder, her frail body curling up even tighter.

She didn’t know how long had passed when a series of footsteps approached from afar, finally stopping in front of Lan Xi.

Lan Xi slowly raised her head and saw Su Mo standing in front of her, his eyes red and a hint of panic showing.

Before Lan Xi could speak, Su Mo coldly stretched out his hand,

“Drone.”

“Oh!”

Lan Xi paused, subconsciously took the drone from her backpack, and handed it to Su Mo.

Su Mo took the drone and walked away without looking back.

Lan Xi watched Su Mo’s retreating figure, her eyes growing dimr…

anwhile, after obtaining the drone, Su Mo found a quiet spot, plugged in the wires and began charging the drone.

Even though this area was deed safe, Su Mo wasn’t optimistic about it.

It was a trapped beast’s lair; it was only a matter of ti before monsters revolted or so other catastrophe occurred.

Sooner or later, this place would be dood.

He had to find valuable resources and equipnt as soon as possible, continuously arming himself.

Although he was still unclear about the background of this ga, one thing was certain—since there were so many monsters that exceeded normal understanding, there must also be corresponding powers to be gained.

They just hadn’t figured out yet how to obtain power in this world.

Moreover, staying here didn’t fit with Su Mo’s initial intent; he ca to this safety zone initially just to recuperate.

So, sooner or later, he had to venture out.

But recklessly leaving was likely to get one easily trapped and essentially be a suicide mission, so so exploration was needed first.

Typically, larger guilds would send out scouting teams to find worthwhile locations before moving out en masse.

This approach wasn’t viable for Su Mo, but the drone could serve as a substitute.

Su Mo checked the portable mobile power supply, which could fully charge the drone three tis without a problem.

However, the trouble was that the charging ti was quite long—it took three hours to fully charge.

The fully charged drone could last up to 80 minutes.

Currently, the safe zone where Su Mo was located was right in the city center, so the drone’s operating range, with unlimited signal, could basically cover the entire city.

Ti slowly passed, and Su Mo patiently waited for the drone to be fully charged, then he unplugged the charging cable and packed everything up.

He lifted his head and looked around the vast stadium, contemplating.

A mont later, Su Mo appeared on the glass roof of the stadium and specifically chose a secluded corner where the players below could hardly see him.

After all preparations were made, Su Mo operated the drone and took off.

The world’s technology might seem unremarkable at a glance, but judging from its products, the quality was still quite good.

Su Mo started an extensive observation of the vast city through the drone.
