Now reading: Chapter 452 - 452 411 Apologies4 from Destiny Mission of game ‘Star Ring’, a Sci-fi novel by False Court.

452: Chapter 411 Apologies_4 452: Chapter 411 Apologies_4 But he didn’t, and that would defeat the purpose of the training.

Under Su Mo’s strong protection, when the battle ended, out of the ten team mbers, except for two who had minor injuries, all were safe and sound.

Of course, other training squads weren’t so lucky; it seed that quite a few chas were severely damaged.

“Everyone proceed to the special passageway to return!”

Su Mo issued the command.

“Yes!”

….

Inside the isolation room of the special passageway, doctors clad in protective suits were already on standby, ready to perform physical examinations on all the returning pilots to check for virus infections or parasitic infestations and treat the injured.

Outside the isolation room, military officers like Xiao Wen rushed over.

Seeing each team mber return safely, their expressions eased sowhat.

After a long while, Su Mo and the uninjured team mbers, having passed the inspection, exited the isolation room.

These ten teammates lowered their heads in sha upon seeing Xiao Wen and Chen Shan.

They too felt quite embarrassed about the shambles of a battle.

If it hadn’t been for Commander Su Mo’s long-range fire support, they estimated that half of them would’ve ended up in the sickbay, and it might have even cost lives.

Xiao Wen reached out and patted their shoulders, “You did very well.

Although you’ve been through the Star Ring’s trials, that’s not reality, there’s still a gap.

Plus, you’ve never fought in space before.”

“Commander, we will work hard.”

The team mbers spoke up one after another.

In fact, Xiao Wen was quite satisfied with their performance, considering they didn’t back down in the face of non-human creatures.

One had to know that for a hundred years, none of the mber states of the Federation had fought a war.

This was their first actual combat experience, and in space no less, which would scare anyone.

“Alright, dismissed!”

Xiao Wen waved his hand, letting them leave first.

Then Xiao Wen turned to Su Mo and expressed his gratitude, “Thanks for your tily intervention this ti.

If it hadn’t been for you, there could have been serious trouble.”

“It’s nothing, just doing my part,”

Su Mo didn’t think much of it.

Chen Shan said with a grin, “After all that effort, let’s go, we’re treating you to hot pot!

And have a drink too.”

“Is that okay?

Is everything settled here?”

“What troubles could there be?

The Black Brilliance is about to re-enter sub-light speed flight, there won’t be any issues.

Besides, Lin Yue is staying behind, it’ll be fine.”

Chen Shan explained.

“Then alright.”

Su Mo didn’t refuse.

….

A short ti later, Su Mo, Xiao Wen, and Chen Shan arrived in the Central District.

The entire Central District was bustling, filled entirely with shops at a glance.

There were people strolling everywhere, and actually, quite a few children too.

Surprised, Su Mo asked, “Why are there children on the ship?”

“What’s so strange about that?

This journey is expected to take at least three years at the quickest, so many rchants and regular technicians simply brought their families along.

Otherwise, why would there be schools and such facilities here?

You can think of the Black Brilliance as a small, independent, self-sustaining nation.

Everything a normal country should have, we have here.

Personally, I think it’s also a kind of simulated experint.

Maybe they’re simulating a scenario where, if absolutely necessary, we abandon Earth Star and survive by wandering on the Black Brilliance.”

Chen Shan explained to Su Mo.

Xiao Wen coughed to remind him, “Old Chen, watch your words.”

“Oh, oh, I’ll stop talking.”

Chen Shan hurriedly shut his mouth, as letting soone from the Review Departnt overhear could definitely result in a warning.

Su Mo pondered for a while and felt that Chen Shan made a lot of sense.

“Which restaurant are we going to?”

“Not far, just ahead.”

Chen Shan pointed ahead as he spoke.

Su Mo, with his hands in his pockets, followed Chen Shan and Xiao Wen, looking around everywhere as they walked.

He found it quite fascinating.

Being in the Central City District felt like being in a normal city, creating a peculiar illusion.

At that mont, the door of a boutique in front was pushed open, the wind chis above tinkled with a crisp sound, and a slender figure with silver hair walked out.

Upon seeing that figure, Su Mo’s heart skipped a beat, and an inexplicable impulse surged within him, prompting him to chase after it imdiately.

Xiao Wen and Chen Shan were taken aback to see Su Mo run off.

What was going on?

Su Mo weaved through the dense crowd, following that figure, getting closer and closer.

For so reason, his heart raced with excitent, and soon Su Mo caught up and tapped the silver-haired girl’s shoulder.

“Hi~”

At this, the silver-haired girl stopped and turned around.

A face that was delicate with sapphire blue eyes, and an elegant, unfamiliar visage appeared before Su Mo, the girl asked with a hint of panic.

“What do you want?”

Su Mo snapped back to reality, quickly retracting his hand, and said apologetically.

“Sorry, I mistook you for a friend of mine.”

The girl in front looked at the handso man apologizing to her and her panicked heart settled sowhat.

She nodded in response.

“It’s okay.”

Then she turned and left.

By then, Xiao Wen and Chen Shan had caught up, and Chen Shan asked, “What happened?”

“Nothing, let’s go eat.”

Su Mo felt a bit disappointed.

Xiao Wen and Chen Shan exchanged glances, sensing that sothing was off more or less.

Of course, both of them weren’t socially inept; if Su Mo didn’t want to talk about it, they wouldn’t pry further.

Before long, they arrived at an authentic hotpot restaurant.

Chen Shan grabbed three bottles of baijiu and said to Su Mo, “Eat well, have so drinks, go back and get a good night’s sleep, and any troubles will be swept away.”

“Alright.”

Su Mo took the strong baijiu and poured a full glass for each person.

He then raised his glass and downed it in one gulp.

“To start off with a toast!”

Chen Shan was stunned by this scene, his head buzzing.

What was going on?

He knew Su Mo could hold his liquor, but since when had he been this good?

Xiao Wen too wore a helpless expression, Chen Shan was talking nonsense, and now they had to drink whether they wanted to or not.

In fact, Su Mo wasn’t intentionally setting them up.

Ever since he injected the Genetic Injector, he found his resistance to alcohol to be much stronger.

The old way of drinking no longer affected him, so he needed to down it in one to feel anything.

“Let’s eat first!”

Chen Shan was also shocked by Su Mo.
