577: Chapter 466: Confrontation_2 577: Chapter 466: Confrontation_2 “I’ve already reported your warning to the Black Brilliance, and you will bear all the consequences!”
Towes said gravely, “Victor, there’s no need for such anger.
Being cautious with a warning isn’t wrong.
Besides, this alert ca from soone nad Su Mo, whose words carry credibility.”
After the last incident with the Type IV Biological chas, Su Mo’s exceptional combat performance had earned him considerable recognition.
Furthermore, Su Mo was about to be promoted to the reserve team, a fact known to Towes and his peers.
In a sense, they were peers, and he certainly had the right to speak to them as equals.
“I reported it only because it was his alert.
Otherwise, do you think I’d be speaking so calmly?
I’ve never heard of such an alert, totally clueless!
Not even a shadow of a Monster seen and yet retreating, it’s ridiculous!”
Victor was extrely annoyed inwardly; if not for the warning issued by that guy nad Su Mo, he would have exploded on the spot, not to ntion reporting to the Black Brilliance.
Su Mo naturally heard their conversation and did not argue.
He was quite satisfied with the outco, as, absurd as they found it, they had taken it seriously.
However, people like Kolev were gripping their hands in sweat, extrely tense.
Just then, a voice filled with extre tension ca through the communication channel.
“Report!
This is Team 98 from the GT departnt’s reserves; countless Monsters have appeared out of nowhere and are sweeping over us!
Requesting support!!!”
“Report!
This is the 46th team of the Second Legion, massive Monster attack detected, requesting support!”
…..
Suddenly, the entire communication channel exploded, all filled with calls for help.
And all requests for assistance were from personnel performing clearance operations on the outskirts.
Towes and Victor imdiately realized the severity of the situation.
They imdiately gave orders.
“All outer units, retreat imdiately!
Cease exploration operations, everyone form up and prepare for combat!”
Suddenly, the originally spectating crowd’s expressions shifted.
Everyone grabbed their weapons and their chas gathered together, forming a defensive line.
Soon, they saw cha after cha fleeing at full speed toward them, with a massive number of Monsters following.
Though most were Type I, the radar scan showed a sea of red, the number so great it was hair-raising.
A few slower Iron Guards were instantly pounced upon by Monsters, followed swiftly by a swarm of Monsters.
A harrowing scream imdiately rose over the communication channel!
“Damn it, attack!”
Victor roared.
All the chas around unleashed a barrage of fire!
And yes, the advancing Monsters were suppressed by the intense firepower from the chas in formation.
One by one, Type I Monsters fell from the starry sky.
Su Mo spoke firmly to everyone, “Don’t panic, everyone.
There are many attacking Monsters, but we have even more people.
As long as we don’t panic, we can definitely crush them.”
“Lord Su Mo makes sense.”
His comrades, who had been extrely tense, finally caught on that there was nothing to fear; the enemy was nurous, but their own numbers were greater, letting their hearts ease sowhat.
Towes then echoed, “Su Mo is right, don’t panic.
Gather your forces and fight staunchly; victory will be ours.”
“Understood!”
Suddenly, everyone’s confidence surged.
However, just at that mont, a highly urgent voice burst through the communication channel.
“Ergency situation, the Black Brilliance has been attacked by an unknown fortress, the ship is damaged.
Cease all operations and return to support imdiately!
Imdiately!
Imdiately!”
This announcent was like a bucket of cold water splashed into a boiling hot oil pan, imdiately creating an explosion of reactions.
“What!
Say that again!”
Victor shouted in disbelief.
Upon hearing this, Su Mo was also unsettled; what’s happening?
The Mother Ship is under attack, is this not like our base being raided?
“The Black Brilliance is under attack, situation is extrely urgent, return imdiately!”
…
Amidst everyone’s scattered thoughts, Major General Moroko of the Second Legion spoke with a grave voice.
“All of you, withdraw imdiately, return to support the Mother Ship.
Leave the incoming Monsters to us in the Second Legion.”
Towes could no longer care whether the Second Legion’s forces could withstand the tide of Monsters, and imdiately said, “Thank you, Major General Moroko, the rest of you, withdraw now!”
Afterwards, Towes led his troops to retreat first.
“Su Mo, what should we do?
Stay or go back?”
Zhao Bo and others asked in confusion.
Su Mo maneuvered his Black Steel cha to return and replied, “Let’s go!
If the Mother Ship is destroyed, we might as well smack our heads on a block of tofu.”
The situation at hand wasn’t about whether the Monsters could be held off.
Moroko probably wasn’t even considering whether he could win.
His only consideration was to buy ti at all costs for others to retreat and defend!
“Understood.”
Everyone controlled their chas to follow Su Mo and leave.
Soon, the GT departnt, the First Legion, and the Third Legion began to withdraw to defend, leaving only the Second Legion’s forces to resist.
The newly ford defense line imdiately shrank significantly; Moroko, left to guard, sternly asked his many subordinates.
“Are you afraid?”
“No!”
“Good.
For the Black Brilliance, no one is allowed to retreat.
Hold off the incoming Monsters for thirty minutes.
Anyone who withdraws within this ti is a cowardly deserter!
After thirty minutes, if you’re still alive, retreat without any hesitation, without any burden; at that ti, you are not deserters, but heroes!”
