“Jialan has instructed that you can move freely, go find her yourself—she should be at the gathering area over there,” said the patrol guard in a soft tone to Su Mo.

Then, Su Mo ran towards the direction the guard had pointed to.
Since the place wasn’t large, Su Mo soon arrived at the gathering area.
He saw Jialan amassing a hundred elite soldiers, all of whom were checking their weapons, seemingly preparing for a mission.
“Jialan!”
Su Mo called out.
Turning her head, Jialan was slightly surprised to see it was Su Mo calling her.
“What is it?”
“Just a little thing but—where are you guys planning to go?”
Su Mo felt a bit embarrassed to ask directly, so he decided to break the ice first.
Without intending to hide anything from Su Mo, Jialan straightforwardly explained, “Our base is running low on food, and we planned to go out and gather so more, especially since we need to host you.”
“Isn’t it dangerous outside now?”
Su Mo said subconsciously.
“We can’t just avoid going out because it’s dangerous.”
Jialan said after a few seconds of silence.
“Why don’t we help out as well? Not to boast, but our combat skills are top-notch; each of us is elite and will definitely not hold you back,” volunteered Su Mo.
The other team mbers present looked at Jialan when they heard Su Mo’s offer.
They respected the strength of Su Mo and his comrades—after all, they had crossed fires before and were indeed formidable.
The most important thing was that these people were equipped with excellent gear. They were indeed short-staffed at the mont. Frequent operations had led to a high rate of injuries among their able-bodied.

Hearing Su Mo’s words, Lin Ming and the others were taken aback. They had guessed that food was scarce for Jialan’s group too, but they hadn’t expected it to be so critical that they were also planning to go find food for them.
