Chapter 723: Chapter 577: Invitation (Extra for Silver Alliance Leader Arain) (Fifth Update)
At that mont, the smallest, Little Mila, wearing a diaper, wobbled over to Su Mo, extended her little hand, and gave him a small, delicate fruit.
“Big, big brother, eat.”
“Thank you, why don’t you join .”
Su Mo crouched down to take the fruit and picked up Little Mila, then put her back in her place.
“Haha, let’s eat.”
Rose said with a smile.
The remaining children all looked towards Mina, who smiled brightly and said.
“Let’s eat!”
…..
Half an hour later, Su Mo and his two companions were walking on a bustling street.
As a guide, Mina was very competent, she had specially changed into a military uniform. Although Su Mo and his friends still attracted a lot of attention, those who wanted to approach them hesitated involuntarily.
It beca much quieter for a mont.
As Mina led them forward, she explained, “This is one of the liveliest areas of Green Gore City, those shops on the left sell various silk garnts, both cheap and expensive. The finest ones are made of a natural silver silk unique to our area, which is not only very attractive but also has great durability and stain resistance….”
After listening, Rose beca interested.
“Shall we take a look?”
“If you like it, let’s go,”
Su Mo nodded slightly; he had also thought about bringing gifts for Cheng Xue. However, since he had spent all his money, the plan had to be shelved for the ti being.
Just as they were about to go there,
A sudden shout of surprise sounded.
“Mina!!”
Mina turned to look, and a big man in bulky chanical Armor, with a bear-like head exposed, along with three other teammates, waved at Mina non-stop.
“Captain Anli!”
Mina shouted back excitedly.
Soon, Mina’s teammates ran over.
“We heard you ca back safe and sound, we were just about to go to your house to look for you, but we ran into you here; I told you that you wouldn’t go down so easily.”
Captain Anli said excitedly.
“Captain, how co you guys didn’t die? I clearly saw you surrounded by monsters.”
Mina asked with excitent and imnse confusion.
Anli knocked on Mina’s head directly, saying irritably.
“What kind of talk is that, were you hoping we would die? We managed to escape thanks to you, though; those monsters, seeing you flee, chased you like they had lost their dear father, which ironically kept us safe.”
Captain Anli also felt sowhat fortunate.
After hearing this, Mina’s face fell, and she pouted.
“And here I wondered why so many monsters were chasing to kill , it seems they were all after . Captain, you guys went too far, escaping but not coming to save .”
“Haha, don’t be mad; in fact, we were looking for you after we escaped. Your cha is too fast; we lost sight of you and had to return. We had only returned a short while ago, and the captain, after hearing you were alright, imdiately brought us to find you,” a cute teammate with cat ears giggled.
“Keni, are you being serious?”
Mina blinked and asked.
“Of course I am serious, do you doubt ?”
Captain Anli stretched out his hand and ruffled Mina’s hair vigorously.
“I wouldn’t dare.”
Mina quickly begged for rcy.
Su Mo couldn’t help but laugh watching this scene.
“Mina, who are these two?”
It was only then Captain Anli noticed Su Mo and Rose; he could tell imdiately they were not from his country, and his tone beca sowhat restrained.
“Captain, let introduce them to you, this is big brother Su Mo, and this is sister Rose. They are from the Federation, and it was thanks to them intervening that I was rescued; otherwise, you really wouldn’t have seen again,” Mina hurriedly introduced.
“We are deeply grateful.”
Captain Anli and his teammates put their right hands to their chests and bowed to Su Mo and Rose.
“No need to thank us,”
Su Mo waved his hand and said.
“Captain, I still need to take Su Mo and Rose around the city for a bit. I’ll chat with you guys later.”
Mina hurriedly explained, not wanting to keep Su Mo and the others waiting too long.
“Alright.”
Captain Anli nodded.
However, just at that mont, a very jarring voice accompanied by the sound of footsteps approached.
“I knew sothing was off this morning, my eyelid was twitching. I didn’t expect to run into an old buddy. Oh my, isn’t this little Mina? I’m so glad you’re alright. We were really worried you’d been swallowed by a Monster.”
Anli and the others imdiately looked stern and turned to look.
They saw a man in second-generation chanical Armor, with coffee-colored long hair, and a face full of a disgusting smile coming towards them with four subordinates.
“Dako, this is none of your business.”
Anli looked angrily at Dako, who was leading the group.
“Don’t say that. We’re all companions here, and Mina, this girl, ca back alive against all odds. As a superior, I ought to show so concern, shouldn’t I?”
Dako showed no signs of leaving.
“And you call yourself a superior?”
Mina said fuming.
“Don’t say that. I’m serious. I have been promoted. From now on, not just you, but even Anli should address as ‘Superior’. However, you know I’m a very easy-going person. I never fuss about these things, I won’t force you to call ‘Superior’.”
Dako continued, boasting while pointing at the badge on his chest.
“How is that possible? How could soone like you get promoted? So despicable and shaless, directing the Monster toward others in order to escape yourself.”
Mina said angrily.
“You can eat ssily but should not speak carelessly. I did not do that, and indeed I was promoted for my ritorious service.”
Dako replied with a smile.
“Dako, it was you who forcefully took the larva eggs.”
Anli imdiately reacted, his eyes widening as he glared fiercely at Dako.
He suddenly understood why the swarm of insects had erupted when they went exploring; it was all because of this man, who had caused the death of many people at that ti.
Dako’s expression beca sowhat unnatural.
“What nonsense are you spouting? I don’t know what you’re talking about. I ca here out of goodwill to console you, but you really don’t appreciate it. Ah, I guess it’s hard being a good person.”
Dako said fearlessly.
“Dako, shut your foul mouth!”
Anli exclaid furiously.
At that mont, Mina quickly hugged Anli’s waist, holding back her own captain.
“Captain, don’t be impulsive.”
She was truly afraid that in a burst of anger, her captain might strike the other party. If this guy really had been promoted, insubordination was a serious cri.
Just then Su Mo said indifferently, “Gentlen, although we are outsiders and shouldn’t interject. But arguing in front of us doesn’t seem quite right, does it? Is this the deanor of an officer from the Yanas Kingdom? It’s hard to imagine these are the troops led by Lord Beilo.”
Dako turned to look at Su Mo and Rose, his expression abruptly changing.
He was so caught up in his taunts that he hadn’t noticed the presence of Federation mbers. Luckily, he hadn’t misspoken.
The smile on Dako’s face stiffened as he said, “The emissary is right, we indeed behaved a bit impolitely. We will take our leave now.”
Saying this, Dako quickly left with his people.
Mina also breathed a sigh of relief after Dako left.
It was fortunate that a fight hadn’t erupted; that would have caused even greater trouble.
Anli also gradually cald down. He turned to Su Mo and said, “Thanks.”
“It’s no big deal,” Su Mo responded, not saying much more, since after all, it was their internal matter.
“Then we’re heading off,” Anli said to Mina.
“Wait. Since you are all friends of Mina, why don’t we all have dinner together later? My treat,” Su Mo suddenly proposed, thinking it would be a good opportunity to gather so information.
“How could we let you treat us? If anyone should be treating, it should be us,” Anli stated, thumping his chest heartily.
“Alright, that’s fine too. When you have a chance to visit the Federation, I’ll take on the role of host,” Su Mo said. Seeing his purpose was achieved, he no longer demurred.
