For Wang Xiao, the coffin was more than a relic of the past—it was a symbol of what he had already surpassed.

The man within had once stood like a titan, his na carried on the winds as a force too vast to challenge. But to Wang Xiao, he was no longer a figure of awe, only a shadow cast by a fading legend. The coffin stood as proof that even the mighty would one day fall, and Wang Xiao had no intention of following that path.

To him, surpassing the past wasn't just a matter of power—it was inevitability. The world didn't belong to the dead; it belonged to those strong enough to claim it. And Wang Xiao? He had already taken what the man in the grave had left behind and made it his own.

Rustle... rustle...

The sound of fabric snapped Aurora out of her thoughts. She glanced over, startled, and froze. Wang Xiao had started stripping off his outer robes. His movents were unhurried, his muscles shifting under the dim light like a predator in no rush.

"Talk's over," he said with a grin that was half-challenge, half-command. He leaned back against the coffin, utterly at ease, as if even the presence of the dead couldn't unsettle him. "Get back to work."

Aurora blinked at him, caught off guard by his actions.

She didn't know whether to laugh or be angry.

That smug grin of his—it was infuriating. And yet, it pulled her in like gravity.

She stepped closer, a shadow of shyness passing over her face. Wordlessly, she sank to her knees before him.

There was no hesitation, no awkwardness.

Her slender fingers reached for the heavy length that awaited her, warm and firm like tempered steel in her grasp.

Slowly, her lips parted, brushing against the tip before taking him into her moist mouth.

Her warm breath t the heat of his skin before her mouth closed around him, slow and deliberate.

Wang Xiao let out a low sigh, his head tilting back slightly.

The tension in his body seed to lt away, years of weight slipping from his shoulders. His fingers found their way to her hair, threading through it lightly, though his touch carried a quiet authority.

Power—it wasn't just about the strength to crush mountains or split seas. It was the ability to control, to command.

In this mont, Wang Xiao didn't feel trapped, didn't feel burdened by anything. The man in the coffin? The past? None of it mattered.

The world didn't revolve around that dead man anymore. He was alive, and this mont was his.

Aurora moved with steady rhythm, Wang Xiao's smile returned, his confidence growing with each passing mont.

A man's power, after all, was not just a weapon—it was a crown.

And the woman who stood beside him?

She was the jewel that reflected his radiance.

_____

21st November, Magic City.

"Humph!"

Zhenxi huffed angrily, clutching the two dragon cubs Wang Xiao had "borrowed" from her a few days ago. The fiery glint in her eyes made it clear she was far from forgiving him.

Wang Xiao scratched the back of his head, his tone light. "I just took them for a few days... didn't think you'd miss them so much."

"..."

Standing at a distance, Aurora watched the exchange with mild curiosity. Her gaze on Zhenxi—a little girl, barely half Wang Xiao's size, but with a fiery spirit that seed far too big for her fra.

A small smile played on Aurora's lips. 'His daughter?' The thought surfaced before she could stop it.

Slowly, fragnts of mory floated back—yes, she rembered now.

They had a daughter as well...

Nearby, Fu Yuxin stood stiffly, her expression unreadable, though her eyes betrayed her. Her gaze flickered toward Aurora, standing quietly under the morning light.

'His... girlfriend?' The thought struck Fu Yuxin like a bolt. Unconsciously, her mind began to compare them, the way stars might envy the sun.

Aurora radiated an effortless brilliance that made Fu Yuxin feel small, like she had no place in the sa sky.

Biting her lip, Fu Yuxin finally spoke, her voice sharp to mask the vulnerability creeping into her heart. "Can you move now? I'm taking her out."

"..."

Aurora's eyes widened slightly, blinking as she studied the girl.

'How will he handle this?' she wondered silently.

Before Wang Xiao could answer, Zhenxi, still clutching her dragon cubs, piped up with a bold declaration. "I'll go with Dad!" Her voice was cheerful yet firm, her big eyes filled with certainty. She grabbed Wang Xiao's hand without hesitation.

Fu Yuxin froze, her face darkening as she stared at her daughter. "Zhenxi, we agreed I'd take you out today."

Zhenxi barely spared her a glance. "I want to go with Dad," she repeated stubbornly, her small fingers tightening around Wang Xiao's hand.

Fu Yuxin's frustration was obvious. "You.... good! Go with him!" Her lips trembled slightly, but she said nothing more. Instead, she turned on her heel and stord back inside, the door slamming shut behind her.

BAM!

As the door slamd shut, Zhenxi flinched, her grip on Wang Xiao's hand tightening. Her wide eyes darted to him, uncertain.

Wang Xiao's gaze flickered toward the door, his eyes narrowing briefly before softening as he looked down at her. "Leave her be," he said, his tone calm, almost dismissive. "Your mother just has... anger issues."

He ruffled her hair lightly, his touch carrying a casual reassurance. "She'll cool down soon enough. Let's go."

Zhenxi hesitated for a mont but then nodded, her trust in him evident as she clutched his hand tightly.

Aurora, standing off to the side, raised a brow, watching the exchange. 'Anger issues? That's putting it mildly.'

Today was the weekend, and Wang Xiao had planned to take this girl on a dragon ride.

As for stopping him, they couldn't. Last ti, the officials had already warned Fu Yuxin and Chen ili. They hadn't done anything substantial, only inspected a few docunts, but the ssage was clear: stop him from eting his daughter, and he could easily take custody without any issues.

As they soared high above the skies of the Qing Dynasty, it was Chen ili who called and inford Wang Xiao that Zhenxi had to visit school with a guardian today.

When he asked the reason why, he nearly dropped the phone.

"She... smashed soone's head?"

He glanced at Zhenxi in disbelief. She sat atop Aura's back, smiling and giggling, her innocent joy completely at odds with the accusation.

"…?"

For a mont, he thought she hadn't heard him. But then, without stopping her laughter, she tilted her head, her large, sparkling eyes eting his—and nodded.

His mouth twitched.

This little girl… smashed soone's head?

He couldn't help but sigh, shaking his head.

Aurora thought this was the mont Wang Xiao would reprimand Zhenxi for her behavior. Instead, he surprised her by asking, "Did they fight with you?"
