"Yaoyao... You can have Yaoyao."
"..."
"..."
Dead silence.
Qian Yaoyao looked like she’d just witnessed her own funeral, jaw dropped, eyes wide, caught sowhere between wanting to faint and running for the door. Xin ifang, on the other hand, was watching Wang Xiao like a cat that just tossed a dead mouse at his feet, waiting for praise.
Wang Xiao didn’t even blink. "Nope."
"Eh?" Xin ifang’s face froze, her hopeful smile faltering.
Even Yaoyao, who was this close to having a panic attack, almost sighed with relief, until Wang Xiao shrugged and dropped the real bomb:
"What, you think I’m running so kind of charity daycare? You toss your kid and I’m supposed to what, raise her, feed her, wipe her nose, and call it a day? Do I look like the Mother Teresa of dysfunctional families to you?"
Qian Yaoyao, cheeks flaming, managed a stutter: "M-Mom... what are you...?"
Wang Xiao waved her off. "Relax, girl. Your mom’s just trying to trade you for a get-out-of-jail-free card. Classic escape move. She’ll sell your soul, then wonder why nobody trusts her."
Xin ifang bristled, but tried to recover her charming dangerous edge. "She’s... young, unspoiled... don’t you want soone you can mold, soone—"
He cut her off, rolling his eyes. "If I wanted to play with dolls, I’d have raided the toy store, not your gene pool."
He leaned in, grinning with a flash of teeth.
"Seriously, Aunt, if you’re that desperate to cut a deal, you should just crawl over here yourself. Who knows, maybe I’d be generous and let you off with a spanking. But this? Passing off your own daughter? Boring. Try again, auntie."
Xin ifang’s lips quivered, half from rage, half from so darker anger.
Wang Xiao just stretched, yawned, and flicked a hand. "Alright, enough family drama for one night. Anyone got anything actually interesting to offer, or am I just going to have to start breaking your limbs for fun?"
A heavy, awkward silence. Even the room seed embarrassed.
Xin ifang’s face twisted, a storm of humiliation and anger passing through her features. Then, like a slap of reality, she suddenly rembered herself, Nesis, goddess, not so plaything.
’Why the hell am I letting him talk to like this? Why am I even here getting harassed? What does this freak even want from ?’
She glared at Wang Xiao, teeth gritted, voice thin but shaking off the fear. "You keep saying you’re bored, that you want entertainnt. What is it you actually want, Xiao Wang? Am I supposed to dance? Sing? Strip? Recite poetry? Or are you just waiting for to start sobbing so you can get off on that, too?"
Wang Xiao cocked an eyebrow, grinning. "Now we’re getting sowhere. See? That’s the spirit. Use that fire, beats moping around like so third-rate tragic heroine."
He leaned in, eyes glinting with mischief and threat. "Entertain however you want, Aunt. Could be a dance, could be a fight, could be you finally admitting all the dirty little secrets you thought nobody knew. Or maybe you just start begging for rcy in a way that actually makes laugh. I’m not picky. Surprise ."
Xin ifang clenched her fists, torn between slapping him and shoving a lamp down his throat. "I’d rather die than do that."
Wang Xiao laughed, a cold sound. "Suit yourself. But trust , boredom is the last thing you want from . People have lost a lot more than their life when I start..."
"So... what’s it going to be? Got any party tricks left, or are you fresh out?"
"..."
Xin ifang inhaled a cold breath. ’What the hell is wrong with him...? Does he really expect to stand up and dance? I don’t even know how...’ Her heart thrumd in her throat, equal parts sha and furious disbelief.
Was this the night Nesis herself would bend, admitting defeat?
She rose, shoulders trembling, the white silk of her gown pooling at her feet like a dying sun, gold thread catching the sunlight in one final, mocking flourish.
Her feet were bare, toes painted a vindictive, lustful red, ankles slim and delicate but quivering with tension.
Wang Xiao dragged a chair into place, lounging back, a predatory grin on his face, one hand tapping the armrest, the other ready for any spectacle. His eyes trailed over her, cold and appreciative. "Co on then. Don’t hold back. Might as well give a mory worth dying for."
Nesis found herself at the center of the room, hands trembling, hovering at her sides, a goddess stripped of all her worshippers, but not her pride. For a beat she looked lost,.then sothing flared behind her eyes.
If she was to be shad, she would decide how it happened.
She flicked her wrist, summoning a shimr of blue runes, ghostly, ancient, crawling up her slender arms and smooth collarbones, flickering awake with every shiver of alabaster skin.
A mocking smirk twisted her lips. "You want a dance? Fine. But you should know... the last ti I perford, kingdoms crumbled and at least one demigod’s turned to ashes."
Wang Xiao chuckled, his voice entertained and amused, patting his thigh. "I love suicidal won. Better add a striptease to your performance. Who knows, you might just kill under your legs."
Xin ifang’s eyes narrowed. ’He knows it’s a death-dance, and still wants to play?’
She straightened her spine, gold-threaded silk hugging her chest, her ample breasts pressing against the fabric, ivory skin glowing with a faint, poisonous blue.
Her hair shimred like a waterfall of midnight, eyes fierce with ancient hate and sothing almost desperate.
Her hands slid up her own body, gliding over the curves of her waist, up to cup her breasts, squeezing, shaping them for his eyes. Her nipples, flushed and proud, strained at the dress as she pinched them beneath the silk, breath gasping.
With a roll of her hips, the dress slipped from her shoulders, exposing her neck and creamy shoulders, pale skin crisscrossed by runes that glowed and pulsed in the growing heat.
She moved with newfound confidence, hips rolling to a rhythm that was half-seduction, half-execution. Her thighs parted with each step, muscles flexing, the slit of her dress pooling at her hips, one white lacy bra barely containing her full breasts.
She prowled toward him, knees brushing the floor, hands reaching to rest boldly on his thighs, her eyes never leaving his.
Wang Xiao inhaled deeply, the mist filled with her scent, a blend of dark smoldering amber, burnt jasmine, and the honeyed poison of her body. The magic in the room grew oppressive, the energy rebellious and sexual, tinged with annihilation.
Xin ifang’s lips curved in a dangerous smile. She grabbed his hand, dragged it up to her chest, letting him squeeze the softness of her breasts, thumb teasing her nipple through the bra. She climbed into his lap, knees straddling his thighs, the heat of her bare skin pressing against his groin.
Her slender hand reached for his face, fingertips ghosting over his jaw as she leaned closer, her breath warm and trembling, lips hovering above his.
The scent from her runes, from her parted lips, beca intoxicating, a sweet, burning, honeyed haze that seed to blur the edges of reality.
"Haa!"
She kissed him, slow and wet, her mouth parting beneath his, tongues tangling. The taste was electric, sweet, sharp, and darkly magical, the flavor of honey and forbidden pleasure. Wang Xiao’s hand slid down, squeezing her buttocks, dragging her closer, tongue probing deeper, tasting the essence of a goddess and a curse entwined.
He licked her lips, biting down with greedy amusent, making her shudder, her own excitent mingling with disgust and twisted thrill.
"Mghh..."
Xin ifang moaned into his mouth, spit bubbling between their lips, the sound obscene and desperate.
"Hmmm!" She sucked on his tongue, letting him feel her white pearl teeth scrape along it.
Across the room, Yaoyao watched, transfixed, body burning, heart pounding with a sick, voyeuristic longing.
Xin ifang broke the kiss, lips swollen, a string of saliva glistening between them, eyes glowing with power and humiliation. She huffed, breath coming ragged, pride flickering with satisfaction, she’d tasted the devil and made him swallow her sha.
But just as she started to slide down, Wang Xiao’s palm landed hard on her backside, a sharp, dominant slap.
His eyes snapped open, crimson and rciless.
"Remove them all."
"!!"
