Yet the eerie grey-black mist still hadn't dispersed!

When it noticed many Traveling Rats had escaped its Talent's control and even showed signs of retreating, those cunning little grey-black eyes flashed with unprecedented ferocity!
"Squeak!"
Another ear-piercing screech resounded,
and with that cry, the grey-black mist that had receded into the Variant Species Traveling Rat King surged out once more!
Flecks of it entered countless nearby Traveling Rats, within the mysterious grey-black mist, countless rats instantaneously beca desiccated pelts amidst terrible screams.
Souls, flesh, even bones were tyrannically stripped away to nothing!
Then once the grey-black mist exited the bodies of the Traveling Rats, these speckled mists seed to grow slightly bigger!
"Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!"
Under the influence of this strange grey-black mist, all the surrounding Traveling Rats scread shrilly as if sensing their end,
This ti, their cries were not aid at the White Wolf and its Wolf Pack, which had been slaughtering them, but instead directed toward their own king!
Why?
