Chapter 571: Chapter 340: After the Catastrophe.

These Rivers of Spirituality Essence were enough to make even the Ultimate Beings red-eyed!

The Pure Energy contained in a single River of Spirituality Essence far surpassed the sum of the Remnants of the Bright Sun and Divine Substance that Su Lin obtained in the Gobi Desert last ti, not to ntion the rarer Origin of Life it embodied.

Admittedly, these Rivers of Spirituality Essence only amassed after the extinction of hundreds of millions of Species.

But death was, ultimately, just that—death!

All the Ultimate Beings were of a cold-blooded nature and lacked any sentintal compassion for humanity; they would not forgo intercepting these Rivers of Spirituality Essence as their future Blood Food because of so so-called benevolence.

For such Rivers of Spirituality Essence, they each mobilized their combat power to the Peak to intercept them.

Even those Ultimate Beings not from this Era, unable to revive to their Peak due to various limitations,

were still burning all the Divine Substance around them to attain greater strength and to intercept these flowing Rivers of Spirituality Essence.

Catastrophe and opportunity coexisted!

Yes, these Rivers of Spirituality Essence, ford from the extinction of billions of species, were indeed opportunities!

It sounded cold-blooded, but this was the reality!

In this world, the lives of the weak were often the most worthless.

As the interception of the Rivers of Spirituality Essence began, the energy fluctuations of the Ultimate Beings in various places beca increasingly terrifying.

Their clashes with the falling teors and the Apocalyptic breath were also rapidly intensifying!

In the midst of this intensity, a number of Ultimate Beings continued to fall one after another.

However, most were those barely revived and did not belong to this Era, already having paid a heavy price just to survive.

Now facing this unprecedented catastrophe, even with all their Divine Substance burnt, their combat power still could not reach their forr Peak state.

They had intended to intercept a section of the River of Spirituality Essence to recover, but ultimately, they were torn to shreds by the sweeping Apocalyptic breath.

Even their Qi-Blood, Soul, and Essence of Life were crushed by the Apocalyptic breath, purified into Spirituality Essence equivalent to tens of millions of Ordinary Species.

In such an unprecedented catastrophe, no one could ensure their own survival.

Even those Ultimate Beings that had stood through the ages could not!

At this mont, above the city of the Holy Land of the Three Religions, Jerusalem, the Godspeed Golden Eagle, bathed in blood-red, with the spectacle of the Divine Phoenix Flas the Sky behind it, grew even more intense!

The energy fluctuations it emitted were even stronger than when it fought bloodily against Su Lin in the Gobi Desert.

This showed that the Godspeed Golden Eagle had indeed achieved new breakthroughs in strength after its return!

However, even the Godspeed Golden Eagle, with its strength breaking through once again, could no longer bear it after intercepting several Rivers of Spirituality Essence,

because the converging Apocalyptic breath was too overwhelming.

Boom!

With a muffled sound, even the wings of the Godspeed Golden Eagle, capable of withstanding all Technology Weapons, began to molt under the erosion of the Apocalyptic breath, shedding large swaths of blood-red feathers!

Luckily, the might of the Godspeed Golden Eagle was too formidable.

After stopping the interception of the remaining Rivers of Spirituality Essence and comncing the full expulsion of the Apocalyptic breath, it soon cleared the invading Apocalyptic breath from its body completely.

Then, the Godspeed Golden Eagle once again took to the fling, intercepting the more distant Rivers of Spirituality Essence.

Because these Rivers of Spirituality Essence were the greatest opportunities in this Apocalyptic catastrophe!

They were also the hope for these Ultimate Beings to climb to greater Peaks in the future.

Not a single Ultimate Being would consider these Rivers of Spirituality Essence too plentiful!

Thus, the Ultimate Beings around the world were fighting to the point of madness amidst the Apocalyptic catastrophe.

At this ti, in this world,

amidst the rain of teorites falling in swaths, amidst the lant of the passing of life, amidst the Ultimate Beings mobilizing extre combat power and fighting to the point of frenzy, ti was also quietly passing.

The rule of ti is the most rciless in the world; even if heaven and earth change, mountains and rivers shatter, and all living creatures face destruction, it is not disturbed in the slightest.

…..

After an indeterminable amount of ti, and an unknown number of days and nights,

the sky was shrouded in a blood-red fog ford from the blood of billions of species.

There was no sunlight, no warmth!

The world everywhere seed as silent as death.

Everything had beco history, and nearly all life was destroyed!

The once vibrant world, full of boundless hope, had vanished forever.

The Apocalyptic rain of teorites in the sky had also long disappeared.

Only the countless shattered holes in the vast black fluorescent barrier on the horizon were slowly repairing themselves.

In the face of this unprecedented Apocalyptic rain of teorites, over ninety percent of the species on Earth were nearly extinguished.

Yes, over ninety percent of the species.

This was even more severe than the Cretaceous extinction!

The species that survived were essentially those hidden within the Underground Great Wall, Strongest Fortress, Noah’s Ark, and so of the solid underground civilian structures.

Yes, so humans!

Because even these underground facilities were shattered by the apocalyptic teor showers beyond count.

The strongest fortresses around the world were two-thirds destroyed, not to ntion so of the civilian underground facilities!

A staggering six to seven billion humans perished in this catastrophe, amounting to seventy percent of the population!

Even humanity, the world’s dominant species who had taken countless asures to prepare for the apocalypse, suffered such losses, one can only imagine the casualties of other races!

In this calamity, various groups of animals, plants, insects, and invisible microorganisms suffered deaths beyond trillions!

The Earth’s ecological environnt was completely devastated!

It had beco a planet of ruins, utterly lifeless and devoid of any light.

Only the tenacious will of the Earth continued its efforts to repair the shattered holes within the black barrier and the planet’s ecological environnt.

But who knew how many years it would take to fully recover?

Endless darkness enshrouded the land, and a chilling breath pervaded this world.

The lush green mountains, the surging seas, the boundless grasslands, and so on, all beca things of the past.

Even those ultimate beings who had contended with the apocalypse vanished at the mont the teor showers dissipated.

So of these ultimate beings perished in this catastrophe, while others managed to intercept a good portion of the River of Spiritual Essence, taking it back to their own territories.

Without the presence and energy fluctuations of these ultimate beings, the whole world nearly fell into silence.

No signs of life, no existence of any species, only endless darkness and cold.

In this boundless darkness and cold, even the species that had survived under the protection of these ultimate beings did not dare to erge, still trembling and hiding in their caves and nests.

Moreover, there were still remnants of a destructive aura in the world, which stirred up terrifying storms across the damaged land, sweeping through every corner of the earth.

Those species without the protection of ultimate beings, who had miraculously survived, were being subjected to a second annihilation.

Yet when these destructive storms reached the areas protected by ultimate beings, they were dispersed by the energy fluctuations those beings had spread out.

As for the ultimate beings themselves, they were now recovering and adjusting in their own territories and amongst their kind.

Because even they had suffered considerable trauma during the apocalypse.

Whether it be Physical Strength, Origin Power, Spiritual Will, and so forth, they had all been greatly depleted.

For beings of their magnitude, once they were overly drained, it would be incredibly difficult to recover to their peak in a short ti.

Even with the intercepted River of Spiritual Essence, at best, their recovery speed could be accelerated several-fold, but they couldn’t be instantly restored.

After all, the Invincible Fierce Tiger, who was only at High King Level at the ti, took over a year to heal injuries and restore Origin Power to its peak, let alone these truly godlike ultimate beings?

At this ti, Su Lin, covered in blood, had already returned from midair to the Southern Territory Mountains.

He mobilized the last of his Spiritual Soul Force to set up hundreds of Spiritual Imprints around the Southern Territory Mountains for protection, then with a flicker, he entered the main cave of the Wolf Pack.

Ordinary Species might not have known how long this apocalyptic catastrophe lasted, but Su Lin, who had personally fought against the apocalyptic teor showers, knew it lasted for approximately three days and nights!

For continuous hours on end, enduring and intercepting the River of Spiritual Essence had worn him down to the brink, where his Physical Strength, Origin Power, and even Spiritual Soul Force were nearly exhausted.

It was the first ti in history Su Lin had been pushed to such extres in a ferocious battle!

Even several years ago, when he faced the hunting of a hundred wolves led by the Scruffy Wolf King, the struggle was not as fierce.

Su Lin had used up no less than three Recovery Potions and one Blood Ignition Potion, a testant to how severe the battle was!

During the interception of the twelfth River of Spiritual Essence, the destructive aura from around a 2000-mile radius surged towards him!

In those most critical monts, even when Su Lin forcefully activated his Hunting Talent several tis, he couldn’t contend against the destructive aura.

In the end, it was only by relying on the Blood Ignition Potion and stacking Hunting Talent with his incredible Healing Talent that he finally fought his way out!

But he was still severely wounded and had even damaged his Origin,

Recovering to his original state, even with the help of the River of Spiritual Essence, would take no short amount of ti.

Currently, Su Lin’s Origin Power, Spiritual Soul Force, and Physical Strength were all completely drained, rendering this his most vulnerable ti.

His combat power was just slightly above that of an Ordinary Apocalyptic-Level being.

Fortunately, the majority of ultimate beings were in a similar state to Su Lin!

Because defending against a teor shower of apocalyptic proportions was not easy for anyone.

Currently, the ultimate beings were all recovering from their injuries in their respective territories.

Even those with lighter injuries did not take the opportunity to scour for prey in the desolate world.

For the destructive storms were still raging outside.

Even for beings of their level to venture out and trek long distances against the destructive storm would require a colossal expenditure of Physical Strength, Origin Power, and more.

When Su Lin returned to the cave, the mbers of the Wolf Pack felt their king’s weakened state and all looked his way.

During those countless hours, even those hiding in the cave had sensed the terrifying destructive aura outside and the waves of incredibly intense fluctuations.

That elental aura of destruction and the horrific energy fluctuations made them feel a primal chill and fear emanating from their bones and genes.

This fear was uncontrollable, akin to a mouse in the presence of a wild cat,

or like the pigs and dogs in a slaughterhouse, facing a butcher with hands dripping in blood.
