After leaving the Great Xia Martial Palace, Chu Qingyun imdiately went to the Assassin Alliance.
As dusk fell and the number of people on the streets dwindled, Chu Qingyun's movents went unnoticed.
The Assassin Alliance was as dim as ever. Two assassins were in line, waiting to conduct their business, but the one receiving them wasn't You Yun.
Sensing Chu Qingyun's aura, You Yun erged and led him into a private room.
"Chu Qingyun, Canglang King's tomb is about to open. You know about this, right?"
You Yun didn't waste any words, getting straight to the point.
Chu Qingyun nodded. He had already heard about it from that mysterious fellow, Qian Sanpang.
"You opened a Qi Sea with a ten-thousand-ter radius. How much of it is filled with Primordial Power now?"
You Yun asked.
"About a third full, I think. It's all from what I absorbed the day I broke through. I haven't really cultivated since."
You Yun's question was a bit strange, but Chu Qingyun answered honestly.
"Here's a Top-Grade Primordial Stone. Give it a try."
As she spoke, You Yun handed Chu Qingyun a Primordial Stone.
Chu Qingyun rubbed his nose and took it. Only a fool would refuse a free Primordial Stone.
Besides, it was obvious that a single Top-Grade Primordial Stone ant nothing to You Yun.
The pigeon-egg-sized Primordial Stone looked like a translucent white crystal, emitting a faint glow. The subtle fragrance wafting from it even made Chu Qingyun blush and stare blankly for a mont.
"Hurry up and cultivate. What are you spacing out for?" You Yun said with a frown.
Chu Qingyun gave a light cough to cover his embarrassnt, then closed his eyes, focused his mind, dispelled all distracting thoughts, and began to absorb and refine the Primordial Power within the stone.
The Primordial Power of a Top-Grade Primordial Stone was very easy to refine.
It took Chu Qingyun about ten minutes to completely absorb and refine all the Primordial Power. The Primordial Stone then cracked with a CRACK, turning into brittle crystals that crumbled to the floor.
"How was it? How much did the Primordial Power in your Qi Sea increase?"
You Yun asked, a hint of amusent in her voice.
Chu Qingyun's brow was deeply furrowed as he said, "It only increased by a tiny bit. There's almost... no change."
He had heard You Yun say before that his cultivation would likely consu an incredible amount of resources, but since he had never witnessed it firsthand, the reality of it hadn't truly sunk in.
Now, however, he had seen it with his own eyes.
A single Top-Grade Primordial Stone was equivalent to one hundred Upper-Grade, ten thousand Middle-Grade, or one million Lower-Grade Primordial Stones!
And yet, when that much Primordial Power was thrown into his Qi Sea, it didn't even make a ripple!
Looking at the two-thirds of his Qi Sea that remained as empty as ever, the corner of Chu Qingyun's mouth twitched, his heart a tangle of complicated emotions.
"A single Top-Grade Primordial Stone is enough for a Martial Artist with a Tier Two Martial Soul to advance from the second to the third level. But for you, it's a drop in the ocean."
"Therefore, you need cultivation resources—far, far more than anyone else. And from what I know, Canglang King's Tomb has the resources you need."
Hearing You Yun's words, Chu Qingyun wished he could rush into the tomb and start plundering treasure right this instant.
But his reason told him that the tomb of a Martial King would be a massive draw. There was no telling how many people would go crazy for it.
"The Martial King's Tomb... I have to go."
Chu Qingyun said, gritting his teeth.
A Martial King's Tomb was an opportunity that ca once in a millennium. For him, this was doubly true.
Because if he relied on normal ans to earn money, he'd likely never be able to gather enough Primordial Stones to reach the second level of the Martial Artist realm in his entire life.
Fortune is found in peril. Although he knew the Martial King's Tomb would undoubtedly attract a huge number of Martial Artists, Chu Qingyun had no other choice. He had to take the risk.
"Good. The Martial King's Tomb has a Restriction on it, only allowing those below the Martial Spirit Level to enter. With your strength, you should be able to protect yourself against a fourth-level Martial Artist. That counts as a tiny bit of qualification, I suppose."
"However, there are four factions you need to be careful of: the Four Great Clans of Lianshan County City—the Xiao Family, the Jin Family, the Zhou Family, and the Ye Family."
"The Ye Family? Are they related to Ye Qi?" Chu Qingyun interrupted You Yun to ask.
You Yun nodded and said, "That's right. Qingshan City is within the Ye Family's sphere of influence. The City Lord, Ye Qingfeng, is also an Elder of the Ye Family."
Chu Qingyun nodded thoughtfully, signaling for You Yun to continue.
"In the Martial King's Tomb, the most valuable treasure, publicly speaking, is a King-level Sword Technique. In Lianshan County City, it's considered the highest-tier Sword Technique there is. Even in the whole of the Great Xia, it's an extrely precious item."
'A King-level Sword Technique?'
A look of confusion appeared on Chu Qingyun's face.
Seeing this, You Yun sighed and explained, "Starting from the Martial Spirit Realm, breaking through to a new Grand Realm is no longer a simple matter of accumulating Primordial Power. You need to comprehend your own Martial Dao."
"A King-level Sword Technique ans that as long as you can master it to perfection, you'll have what it takes to break through to the Martial King Realm. Of course, it's only a chance, not a hundred-percent guarantee."
With that explanation, Chu Qingyun understood. A fire of excitent rekindled in his heart.
'As expected of a Martial King's tomb, to think it holds such a thing.'
He had already mastered all of the Gale Seven Swords; now was the perfect ti for a stronger Sword Technique.
"The King-level Sword Technique is precious, but I'll tell you a top-secret piece of intelligence: inside Canglang King's Tomb, there is sothing that can completely change your destiny."
As she said this, You Yun's voice beca extrely serious.
Chu Qingyun could even vaguely sense so obscure fluctuations emanating from her, as if to prevent anyone from eavesdropping.
Chu Qingyun had long suspected that You Yun was likely a Martial Spirit Level expert.
'Sothing that could make even a Martial Spirit Level expert so cautious had to be anything but ordinary!'
"Is a King-level Sword Technique not enough to completely change one's destiny?"
You Yun stared at him for a mont before saying, "Chu Qingyun, you first need to understand sothing. Lianshan County City, and even the entire nation of Great Xia, are just tiny places in the grand sche of the world."
"In this world, what does a King-level Sword Technique truly amount to? There are Emperor-level, Sect Level, and even stronger Sword Techniques out there."
"But that item... on a worldwide scale, it's sothing that would cause countless people to fight to the death over it. It's sothing that can completely change the fate of a person, or even an entire faction."
You Yun's words completely shook Chu Qingyun.
After arriving in Qingshan City, Chu Qingyun had thought Lianshan County City was an incredible, major place. As for the nation of Great Xia, it had seed even more vast and unreachable.
But now, to hear You Yun speak of them, they were all just insignificant little places, not even worth ntioning!
He had secretly speculated about You Yun's identity before, but he never expected that he had still underestimated her.
"What... is it?"
It would be a lie to say that Chu Qingyun wasn't tempted.
You Yun's attitude had ignited in him an incredibly strong sense of curiosity and desire for that item.
However, You Yun just shook her head and said, "I won't tell you specifically what it is. Everything will depend on your own luck. If you don't have the fortune for it but try to force it, you might just get yourself killed."
