The Inashiro batters did not take the newly introduced second-year pitcher lightly. They understood that whoever was sent to the mound at this mont with such expectation had to be Yakushi's trump card.
But they still severely underestimated him.

All three of them, despite being first-years, possessed hitting ability that was probably on par with the core batters of powerhouse schools.
Kunimoto, who had remained expressionless throughout, finally showed a shift in his face.
He stood up and signaled for a substitution.

The First Batter was Mishima Yuuta.
Kunimoto, who had just led his team to dominate the nation at the Spring Koshien, finally could not sit still.
