"Yes, please, Knight Commander, grant your approval."

The Rusted Nail Bishop squinted at the proud young man before him, frowning slightly.
He was very satisfied with Herbert.
This young man, whether in character or talent, was an excellent choice, the future core of the Mist Monastery.
The Rusted Nail Bishop had great expectations for Herbert, hoping that he could take over his position in the future.
He even thought that one day he might allow the Archbishop to retire peacefully... but he also knew that was very difficult.
Perhaps only with the ergence of a new Saint would the Archbishop be at ease.
So taking a step back, he hoped Herbert could at least allow the Guardian to lay down his duties.
These two have given too much for the monastery and have persevered for too long. It's ti for them to rest.
Unfortunately, his and that bald fool's current strength is not enough to put those two at ease.
But Herbert might have the potential.
Previously, the Knight Commander and Chief Judge's expectations for Herbert might have only reached Legendary, but after the Frost Crystal incident, his expectation in the minds of the two bishops rose significantly.
With such talent and character, an Epic strongman... doesn't seem impossible, huh?
With such expectations, they mostly turned a blind eye to so minor issues in Herbert's life, and they tried to let others not interfere too much.
Otherwise, Herbert's life might be less free than it is now.
However, this doesn't an that the Rusted Nail Bishop would indulge Herbert, permitting such a dangerous move.
For the Knight Order, entering the Misty Mountains to hone oneself is not a problem; everyone does it often and regularly organizes collective entries.
But the problem is that Herbert is applying to enter alone.
That's a big problem.
The Misty Mountains are full of dangers; anyone below Legendary Level must not go alone, only those at Legendary have the qualification to venture solo.
Clearly, Herbert hasn't reached Legendary yet; he's still so way off.
If it were soone else, the Rusted Nail Bishop wouldn't even bother to ask, he would outright ignore the fool's request and severely punish him.
But this person is Herbert, so he didn't reject him outright, instead, he frowned and pondered a mont before asking:
"Why?"
He needed Herbert to give him a reason.
A reason convincing enough.
Herbert had long been prepared for this, standing upright and gazing into the other's eyes, he began to state his case.
"Knight Commander, please hear my explanation today."
"During this Frost Crystal journey, I profoundly realized the inadequacy of my strength."
"If I had strong enough power, I wouldn't need to rely on the Furious to impose pressure, wouldn't have to depend on her to exert pressure on the Kingdom, nor would it cause fear in so citizens' hearts."
"If I had Legendary strength, I could easily judge all the evil nobles by myself, without needing the Divine Spirit Church to help with the final step."
"Even if I had the strength, I could solve those issues earlier without letting innocent citizens endure more."
"This weakness and powerlessness made utterly ashad."
"It's all my fault; I'm the one who made them suffer."
Herbert clenched his fists, gently placed them on his chest, and said:
"After returning, I thought for a long ti and finally understood that the one I should rely on most is not others, but myself."
"Rather than relying on others, I need more to enhance my strength!"
"No blade in others' hands can ever be better than the one in your own."
"Therefore, I hope to train in the Misty Mountains!"
"Please, grant approval!"
When Herbert spoke these words, he poured all his emotions into them, even utilizing the power of the Devil's Tongue, making it highly persuasive.
Even the naturally cold Rusted Nail Bishop was slightly moved at this mont, nodding in agreent.
"You're right indeed... I'm glad you realized this at such a mont."
He was very gratified by Herbert's thoughts.
Young people are often blindly confident, often overly estimating their abilities.
Confidence is a good thing, but blind confidence only destroys them.
Now Herbert's display was pleasantly surprising.
Not only didn't he attribute previous achievents to himself, he also reflected afterwards, identifying the issues and shortcomings.
This is excellent.
Really excellent.
It further strengthened the Knight Commander's views on Herbert.
His future certainly wouldn't stop at Legendary, he could definitely rise above it.
But rules are rules.
Calming down after being moved, the Knight Commander eventually shook his head, rejecting Herbert's application.
"No."
A fervent request, yet rejected!
Herbert, unimpressed by the outco, maintained his composure and respectfully bowed his head.
"Knight Commander, could you possibly tell the reason behind your refusal?"
The Rusted Nail Bishop shook his head, directly and with so coldness, said:
"The risk of entering the Misty Mountains alone is too high, it doesn't matter for others, but soone like you shouldn't take such a risk."
His character is inherently straightforward and cold, always speaking his mind without reservation.
"Even without entering the Misty Mountains, the Knight Order has many ways to help you improve your strength."
"You still lack many Paladin skills; it's a good ti to catch up on those."
Upon hearing this explanation, Herbert pursed his lips.
The Knight Commander was right.
There are many ways to train; it's not necessary to choose the most dangerous one, and choosing it doesn't necessarily yield the best results.
He knew this well enough.
But the problem is... for others, perhaps not, but entering the Misty Mountains must be the best for him.
I want to go in and wreak havoc!
Herbert's main purpose for applying to enter the Misty Mountains was to unleash the Power of Conquest properly, to go on a Demon hunt and level up massively.
I'm going to level up, not to be hunted.
The Rusted Nail Bishop, seeing Herbert's expression, knew he was dissatisfied. Shaking his head, he said, "You cannot enter alone, if you must go, then you must go with others."
"In a while, the Knight Order will organize a hunting competition; you can form a team with others to participate then."
