"I feel sothing's not right."
Sofia furrowed her brows and said in a deep voice, "I have a bad premonition that sothing might happen tonight."
"Hmm?"
Joanna raised an eyebrow, squinting her eyes as she tried to sense sothing too.
"..."
After a mont, the priest shook her head and said helplessly, "I haven't sensed anything on my end, and my Lord hasn't given any revelation."
Although since arriving at the misty mountains, the Ice and Snow Goddess hadn't given her any insights, long-standing habits were hard to change. This loyal priest still habitually depended on the grace of her deity.
"But since you said so, sothing bad might indeed happen. Let's have everyone prepare."
"Hmm, you go notify your compatriots, I'll patrol the periter first."
After speaking, the two were about to turn and leave, ready to directly inform others to stay alert. Tonight was destined not to be a peaceful night.
However, before Sofia and Joanna could leave, a sowhat lazy voice called out to them.
"Hey, aren't you two a bit too tense?"
As the third person present, the mushroom rchant shrugged helplessly, extending mycelium from his fingertip to manipulate his miniature puppet.
Miser glanced sideways at the two and said casually, "Is there really a need to be so scared? That guy's power isn't enough to be life-threatening to you, right?"
The mushroom rchant expressed his inability to comprehend the reactions of the two.
Why so tense?
Based on Sofia and her companions' repeated calculations, the "three-headed Chira," although significantly stronger than any of them, couldn't be considered overwhelming.
In terms of raw power, it was certainly strong, but only so much.
The threat was not minor, but it wasn't as exaggerated as they made it out to be.
What troubled them the most was the Chira's three heads, each having unique abilities, and its extrely powerful regenerative capacity.
Sofia had once gone all out, using a trade-of-injury strategy to leave severe scars on the Chira, and she, as a Spirit Body, nearly suffered grave injuries and fell into a slumber.
Yet, those wounds, which nearly pierced through the entire Chira's body, healed completely within a few breaths, with only one head slumping onto the ground, temporarily losing power for a while.
Its body could absorb life energy from one of the heads to recover from fatal injuries.
According to their deduction, unless they severely damaged all three heads simultaneously, it would be difficult to inflict effective harm.
This is a particularly troubleso foe.
Not only does it have complicated chanisms, but it's also a thick-skinned nuric monster.
Such an opponent must not be engaged with lightly. If they do engage, it must be with the force of a thunderbolt in one decisive strike!
With the three of them present, the three-headed Chira doesn't pose too high of a threat to Elda Territory—but caution is still needed.
Even Sofia and her companions have to be careful. As for others, there's even less need to say, the residences of everyone are even more precarious, easily destroyed during any collateral battle.
Joanna was quite nervous about this, very concerned about the Divine Hall and the simple wooden huts within their domain—those were painstakingly built by her priestess sisters themselves!
Sofia was even more unwilling to allow any harm to co to the Elda Territory, at any level.
However, in Miser's view, Sofia and Joanna's worries were actually quite aningless.
Currently, Miser had no affection towards Elda Territory, thinking differently from Sofia and Joanna.
This place, by calling it a town... no, perhaps a village would be more appropriate... does it have any special value?
The current state of Elda's developnt was just in its early stages with little infrastructure worth destroying.
What's there to worry about?!
She even thought secretly—destruction by others could be considered a form of reclamation to so extent.
"..."
Sofia looked at Miser, stayed silent for a while, and finally said nothing more, only gently shook her head and stated resolutely, "No matter what you say, I must protect this place until my Lord returns."
The centaur heroic spirit had given up explaining the significance of this territory to them, having already said what needed to be said.
Since this Myconian did not think highly of them, there was no need to waste words.
"Elda is more important than my safety."
"This is our holand."
"Protecting everything here is the mission bestowed upon by my Lord, I must uphold my pact with him!"
"Whether you believe it or not, as soon as my Lord returns, all problems will be resolved effortlessly," Sofia said firmly.
They're not on the sa path, thus can't work together.
Although Sofia and Miser were supposedly both subordinates of Herbert, there was a disparity in their loyalty.
However, Miser's subsequent response was different from what Sofia had imagined.
The previously arrogant Myconian surprisingly nodded in agreent without any denial.
"Yes, indeed."
Huh?
Sofia stalled a bit, turning her head to look incredulously at the mushroom rchant, "You believe?"
"Of course I believe!"
Miser gave her an odd look and asked back in puzzlent, "If I didn't believe in him, why would I have followed him here?"
"I've always said these little issues would be easily resolved once he returns, haven't I?"
In fact, when it cos to faith in Herbert, Miser had more confidence than the other two!
