So, mortal, who do you think I am?

Those filthy, cowardly, foolish Evil Gods unwilling to face reality?

No.

I am Alberta.

The Master of the Sun, the primal radiance, the punishnt of Holy Light...

Evil Gods lie, True Gods also conceal.

However, for this Sun, increasingly extre, whose actions are constrained by rules, their words bear no falsehood.

True is true, false is false.

["I will not utter any lies, nor deny established truths."]

The Divine Spirit gazed at the slightly stunned young man, the corners of their mouth subtly curved into an extrely minor arc.

After such prolonged interaction, for the first ti, they truly felt the normal emotions a young man ought to have from him.

He seed embarrassed over his misjudgnt.

["Heh."]

They chuckled lightly and continued calmly:

["After eting , indeed your fate has been altered by my influence, and thus I have gained an additional choice... a rare choice."]

["In a certain sense, you have indeed taken up my fate... a tiny portion of it."]

["Mortal, you may feel proud of this."]

The Sun Goddess, too, was not boasting.

They were truthfully narrating the facts.

To mortals, the fate of a Divine Spirit is exceedingly frightening.

Not to ntion the fate of the Sun God.

rely being affected by them is enough to utterly transform a mortal’s destiny.

Even a casual glance from them can crush most beings in the world.

The Sun’s favor is, at many tis, both a rare grand opportunity and the most terrifying calamity in this world.

In the past, such individuals had only two outcos.

Either withstand the ordeal of fate and beco true heroes.

Or be completely destroyed within this fate.

Herbert chose a third path between "being destroyed by the Sun" and "being tempered by the Sun."

He reversely assimilated the Sun.

While the Sun interfered with his destiny, he also reversely affected the Sun’s fate.

To say he "bears" it isn’t incorrect.

To call it "fusion" isn’t wrong either.

As for the deeper anings hidden beyond the words—they were incomprehensible to them.

Matter of love, twists and turns, totally beyond understanding.

The Sun, oblivious, naturally ignored Herbert’s hidden innuendos and teasing.

Between exchanges, this battle of "verbal sparring" between allies ended in a draw.

Responding with arrogance to arrogance, neither offered excessive explanation.

Neither truly gained an advantage.

However, for Herbert, this conversation wasn’t entirely without gain.

The gains are substantial!

From this exchange, he gained a more profound understanding of the Sun Goddess.

Previously, he perceived the Sun Goddess as a conglorate of arrogance, indifference, and impatience, an extrely terrifying Divine Spirit to cooperate with but requiring utmost caution.

But now, they felt more like a very "natural," with clear eyes and a naive, oblivious presence.

This one, unexpectedly, was candid.

And, completely unversed in the affairs between n and won, or simply indifferent.

How to say?

To use Miss Harmonious God for comparison, Alberta and Nenasha seem to stand on two extremities.

One speaks in lies, one from no falsehood.

One speaks of matters between n and won expertly, claiming to be a theoretical master; the other has no interest, entirely indifferent.

Might still be quite easy to deceive...

["Hmm?"]

The Sun Goddess seed to sense so thoughts in Herbert’s mind, frowned, and cast him an unhappy glance.

Herbert imdiately put away his small thoughts, eyes on nose, nose on mouth, mouth on heart, appearing honest.

Wrong.

This one may be naive, but probably hard to deceive.

Alberta is extrely sensitive to lies, and no untruth can be uttered before them.

Well... it’s not exactly a big issue.

After organizing his inner thoughts, Herbert raised an eyebrow and smiled, jokingly said: "In this alliance between us, it’s more that you’ve taken advantage of ."

As for Herbert’s shaless emphasis, the Goddess rely glanced at him casually and snorted lightly.

["...Heh."]

It must be said, this one, truly shaless.

Yet, not exactly repulsive.

The floating shadow of the Goddess slowly descended sowhat, white toes gently touching the water’s surface.

They no longer continued to look down from on high but chose to gaze as much as possible on level with Herbert, then softly asked: ["Mortal, let ask you one last ti."]

["Have you prepared yourself?"]

Prepared?

Herbert blinked, smiling.

Though not understanding why they must persistently seek this answer from his lips, his response remained unchanged.

Thus, the mortal’s reply was as calm as before.

"I’ve long been prepared."

"Is it not fate? Let it co, let it try to crush ."

"I will shoulder everything."

The Divine Spirit nodded slightly, feeling moved: ["Mortal, you are more selfless than I imagined."]

As the leader among True Gods, and the most "selfless" being in this world, they appreciated such selflessness.

Yet, after receiving the Divine Spirit’s sincere praise, the mortal rely shook his head.
