Now reading: Chapter 308: Are You from Qinzhou? from Diary of a Criminal Investigator, a Drama novel by Braking was timely.

"Capturing him outside works just fine, in the parking lot."

There were differing opinions within the team.

"The suspect probably doesn’t yet realize he’s been exposed; otherwise, he should have fled directly rather than co to the amusent park to play."

"Since the other side doesn’t know they’ve been exposed, wouldn’t it be more prudent to ambush them in the parking lot? After all, inside the amusent park, there are many people and many gas. Unexpected incidents could easily occur."

Everyone in the team expressed differing views, but the final decision was up to the on-site commander, Ren Qiang.

Honestly, with about twenty people in the second operation group now capturing the criminal suspect here, it shouldn’t matter where the arrest takes place; the suspect likely won’t have a chance to escape.

Ren Qiang’s priority was to ensure the capture of the criminal suspect without any untoward incidents.

The primary concern was safety.

Most importantly, ensuring his people don’t encounter unexpected injuries. Secondly, it would be best if the suspect is safely captured without injury.

If the suspect willingly offers his hands for handcuffing, that would be the most ideal situation.

Under the premise of safety, minimizing impact is crucial.

Quietly capturing the criminal suspect would be ideal.

For example, arresting the suspect in the parking lot would definitely have a smaller impact compared to inside the amusent park.

Moreover, in case of minor errors and the suspect attempts to flee, the parking lot doesn’t have as many amusent facilities like the amusent park, reducing the likelihood of accidents.

However, the arrest plan suggested by Zhang Hui also has its rits.

The facilities in Qingjiang Amusent Park are mostly thrilling-type equipnt.

Each amusent activity carries inherent risks, so during such activities, visitors’ bodies are usually restrained, like with free-fall towers and roller coasters.

If the suspect is engaged in such activities, apprehending would beco much easier.

In that case, handcuffs can be applied directly, managed by just two officers without the need to fight.

Therefore, Ren Qiang decided to consider both arrest plans comprehensively.

"Let’s split into two groups. Group one, consisting of six people, will enter the amusent park with Zhang Hui. The main task is to identify the suspect’s location, but avoid alarming him."

"Once the suspect’s location is confird, report back imdiately, and we’ll join you, capturing him if the opportunity arises."

Zhang Hui nodded; he was very familiar with operations like this: "If there’s a chance, can we proceed with the capture directly?"

"Yes, if safety can be ensured, authorization is granted for capture!"

"The second group will ambush in the parking lot, prepared to capture the suspect there after he exits."

With only one main entrance and exit at the amusent park, capturing inside makes it unlikely for him to flee; however, in the open grounds of the parking lot, all necessary preparations must be in place.

mbers from group two on this mission are seasoned in arrests, having coordinated with each other for many years; they were long familiar with such operations.

One by one, they nodded, indicating understanding.

Zhang Hui took five people, bought tickets, and prepared to enter through the main entrance.

At this stage, they couldn’t reveal the police operation to avoid alarming the suspect.

Anyway, the costs can be reimbursed, so it’s not an issue.

Just as Zhang Hui completed the ticket inspection and was about to pass through the turnstile, his eyes caught sight of a person coming out from the opposite side, also at the turnstile.

Unlike Zhang Hui entering, this person was exiting.

Wang Huidong!

Zhang Hui imdiately recognized the person erging from the amusent park was indeed their target, Wang Huidong.

The two brushed past each other, both within the turnstile passage.

Was this not a once-in-a-lifeti chance?

Zhang Hui reached behind his back, ready to draw!

Click!

The shiny handcuffs were already fastened on Wang Huidong’s hands.

Everyone else at this point also recognized the person just exiting the amusent park was indeed Wang Huidong.

Three strong n suddenly rushed forward, pinning the handcuffed Wang Huidong against the turnstile.

The girl checking tickets nearby was so scared she almost cried.

"What’s your na!"

Zhang Hui leaped out of the turnstile, darting across and forcibly held Wang Huidong’s neck.

But Wang Huidong didn’t respond.

Instead, he asked, "Are you guys from Qinzhou?"

Qinzhou?

Zhang Hui’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing this.

Damn!

We might have caught a big fish here.

If this person really is the killer of Zhou Yang, then cris on him might not end here—in fact, certainly don’t end here.

At a minimum, there are cases in Qinzhou associated with him.

Ren Qiang, who had just arrived, also heard what Wang Huidong said, his gaze now more intense.

"Take him back!"

Criminal Investigation Team, Qin Yong’s Office.

Upon returning, Ren Qiang imdiately reported to Qin Yong.

"Captured?"

"Yes, at the exit of Qingjiang Amusent Park, just as we were about to go in and assess the situation, this guy ca out and was cuffed on the spot during the turnstile crossing with Zhang Hui."

"Great!"

Qin Yong rubbed his hands, visibly excited.

In three days, with initially no leads, but now the case took a turn for the better.

The investigation process of this case can be described as tortuous.

It started with Zhou Yang’s death, where every detail at the scene hinted the death resulted from a high fall followed by drowning.

If not for Lu Chuan’s keen eye discovering clues on the deceased’s shoes, this case might have been dismissed as accidental death.

The search for the murderer wasn’t going smoothly either.

Zhou Yang resided in a bustling international apartnt, with broken surveillance and fingerprint, footprint identification and analysis at the scene offering no leads on the suspect.

Had it not been for Lu Chuan suggesting a seemingly unlikely possibility, prompting Zhang Hui to follow it up, the suspect likely would never have been found.

"Where is he?"

"In the interrogation room. This guy probably has more cases on him."

"How so?"

"When we caught him, he asked if we were from Qinzhou. Clearly, he has cases in Qinzhou as well."

"Who’s in charge of the preliminary hearing?"

"Zhang Hui. Since he was the one who cuffed the suspect, he might find it easier to interrogate."

"Let’s go, ti to check the surveillance."

"Alright!"

Interrogation Room.

"Are you from Haizhou City’s Criminal Investigation Team?"

Wang Huidong’s expression showed no nervousness but a slight bit of confusion.

"The case on the rooftop?"

"It can’t be, I stayed at that place, the surveillance was broken, and I was chosen randomly."

"The traces on the rooftop have already been handled. The person... I didn’t kill him, just threw him into the river. You couldn’t have found ?"

Sitting opposite Wang Huidong, Zhang Hui was surprised how quickly the man confessed.

Of course, it didn’t matter whether Wang Huidong confessed.

They had just collected Wang Huidong’s footprints; Zhang Hui knew without comparing, he was definitely the suspect.

Wang Huidong’s left foot had missing toes.

Exactly matching Lu Chuan’s Footprint Identification and Analysis report!

Now that he’s confessed, the case can be considered solved.

What remains, matters in Qinzhou, and perhaps more cases, are the focus of Zhang Hui’s interrogation!
