-Ethan-

Angewomon and LadyDevimon are imdiately on the offensive, their combined might slamming into Datamon. Angewomon's Celestial Arrow streaks with holy light, while LadyDevimon's Darkness Wave surges with shadowy energy, a beautiful yet terrifying display of opposing forces working in sync.

It looks like we have him on the ropes.

But Datamon just laughs, a shrill, digital cackle that echoes in the control room, as the room itself responds to his will. Cables snake out from the walls, thrashing like tallic tentacles. Hidden panels slide open, revealing missile launchers that target Angewomon and LadyDevimon. Lasers slice through the air, forcing them to dive for cover. The whole room is his weapon now.

What a showoff.

Datamon isn't that strong on his own, even as an Ultimate-level Digimon, but with that chanical suit and the whole room rigged to his will, it's like he's a whole new monster.

"Hehehe… you thought you could just waltz in here and stop ?" Datamon's voice booms through the speakers, laced with static. "This is my domain! My playground! You are nothing!"

Angewomon and LadyDevimon are having trouble. The lasers are too fast, the missiles too nurous. The cables restrict their movents. I can see them struggling to get a bead on Datamon. I have to do sothing.

"Ballistamon, now!"

With a roar that shakes the entire warehouse, Ballistamon materializes in the control room. His sheer size and heavily armored fra add a completely new elent to this fight. He stomps forward, drawing the fire of the automated defenses, the missiles exploding harmlessly against his thick tallic plating. The lasers glance off his armored hide. Ballistamon is a walking tank, built to soak up damage, and he does it well.

"Horn Breaker!"

Ballistamon slams his horn into a missile launcher, tearing it from the wall with a screech of tal. He spins, using his bulk to smash through a laser grid, creating an opening for Angewomon and LadyDevimon.

"Nice one, big guy!"

Angewomon and LadyDevimon now have more room to maneuver, and they take full advantage. Angewomon unleashes a Heaven's Charm, a wave of golden energy that disrupts the control room's systems, causing the lasers to flicker and the missiles to misfire. LadyDevimon follows up with a Poison attack, a cloud of dark mist that corrodes the cables and shorts out the circuits.

This is good, but it isn't enough.

I need more power.

"Spirit Evolution!"

The Human Spirit of Thunder pulses with energy as I grab it. A surge of electricity courses through my body, transforming . My skin hardens into blue and yellow armor, a horn sprouts from my head, and I beco Beetlemon, the Champion of Thunder. I feel the power coursing through my veins, the raw energy of a thunderstorm contained within my armored shell.

Ti to bring the thunder.

I launch myself at Datamon, a bolt of blue lightning streaking across the control room. "Thor Hamr!" I slam my fists together, channeling the electricity into a concentrated blast, and bring it down on Datamon's chanical suit.

The suit shudders, sparks flying as the armor buckles under the force of the blow. Datamon staggers, montarily stunned.

The battle intensifies, the montum shifting back and forth like a pendulum swinging wildly. Angewomon and LadyDevimon unleash their magical prowess, Celestial Arrows and Darkness Waves tearing through the control room, forcing Datamon to constantly adapt his defenses. Ballistamon provides heavy artillery support, smashing through automated turrets and missile launchers with his massive bulk.

I weave through the chaos, a blur of blue and yellow armor, slamming into Datamon's suit with Thunder Fists and Lightning Blitzes. It's a symphony of destruction, a chaotic ballet of light and darkness, steel and electricity.

"Ultimate Speaker!"

Ballistamon fires his speaker, and the sonic attack disrupts Datamon's weapons.

Teamwork is the key. We're adapting to Datamon's tactics, anticipating his moves, and working together to overwhelm his defenses.

The combined efforts of and my Digimon start to take their toll. Parts of Datamon's chanical suit are torn away, revealing the frail Digimon within. His attacks beco less coordinated, his movents more erratic.

"No… this can't be happening!" Datamon's voice is laced with desperation, the static replaced by a whimper. "I was supposed to be the one in control!"

I see an opening, a chance to deliver the finishing blow. I channel all my energy into a final attack, electricity crackling around my armored fists. "Mjölnir Thunder!" I roar, slamming my fists down on Datamon's exposed chassis.

"This is over!"

But just as I'm about to deliver the knockout punch, a cackling laugh echoes through the room. A familiar, high-pitched, insane cackle.

The Green Goblin bursts into the control room, riding his Goblin Glider, a green and purple blur of madness. He throws a pumpkin bomb, creating a smokescreen that obscures the battlefield.

"Sorry to crash the party, kiddies!" the Goblin taunts, his voice distorted by his mask. "But I need my little buddy back!"

He grabs Datamon, yanking him free from the wreckage of his chanical suit. "Ta-ta for now!" With a final, maniacal laugh, the Green Goblin blasts out of the control room on his glider, disappearing into the night.

The smoke clears, and I look around frantically, but they're gone. Just like that, poof. The Green Goblin and Datamon have vanished into the New York City night.

"You okay?" I ask, rushing over to Gatomon and BlackGatomon, who are reverting from their Ultimate forms.

"I'm fine," Gatomon says, brushing herself off. "But that was annoying."

"Yeah, I was just getting ward up," BlackGatomon adds, cracking her knuckles.

My level of annoyance is imasurable. I let two of the big bads get away because they decided to team up. What are the odds? My fault lies in underestimating the situation, thinking that I was good enough. I'm going to have to train harder.

No ti for feeling sorry for yourself, Kepler. Focus.

I shake off the disappointnt and survey the wreckage of the control room. There's got to be sothing here, so clue as to what Goblin and Datamon are planning. Complaining won't help. I gotta put in the work if I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.

My eyes land on a PC, surprisingly still intact amidst the chaos. It's got to be connected to sothing, maybe Oscorp's network. I run over to it, fingers itching to dive into the digital world.

"Connect Jump!"

I focus my energy and beco data, phasing into the PC screen. The familiar sensation of digital imrsion washes over as I find myself in the computer's system. Ti to do so digging. Let's hope this thing holds the answers I need. They won't be getting away so easily next ti.
