Above the icy roadway of the Queensboro Bridge, MailBirdramon struggles. Each flap of its chanical wings is labored, a desperate attempt to stay aloft against Okuwamon's relentless assault. The insectoid Digimon is a whirlwind of claws and malice, dwarfing MailBirdramon in size and power.

Clang!

Okuwamon's scissor-like pincers slam against MailBirdramon's tal hide, the sound echoing across the expanse of the bridge. Sparks erupt, showering the roadway below with a glittering rain of molten tal. MailBirdramon reels, its flight path faltering. Okuwamon doesn't relent.

The stag beetle Digimon's antennae twitch, sensing weakness. It barrels toward MailBirdramon, a living battering ram of chitin and rage.

"Double Scissor Claw!" Okuwamon roars.

MailBirdramon tries to evade, banking hard to the left. But Okuwamon is too fast, too strong. The pincers clamp down on MailBirdramon's left wing, the tal screaming in protest. With a sickening crack, the wing buckles. The chanical bird plumts.

Whoosh!

The air rushes past MailBirdramon as it plumts toward the icy surface of the bridge below. A desperate burst of energy from MailBirdramon's remaining wing arrests the fall, slowing the descent. But it's not enough. Impact is imminent.

Below, Spider-Man watches MailBirdramon's struggle.

Spider-Man shoots a web line, trying to snag MailBirdramon and break its fall. Garurumon and Greymon move to provide aid, while Ballistamon prepares to use its Heavy Speaker ability. But the Green Goblin is not about to let anyone interfere.

Whoosh!

The Goblin swoops down on his glider, a maniacal laugh echoing through the night. "Going sowhere, bug?"

He unleashes a volley of pumpkin bombs, each one a miniature inferno hurtling toward the heroes. Spider-Man tenses, webs flying to intercept the explosives. Greymon roars, unleashing a Nova Blast to et the incoming threat. Garurumon focuses, using Fox Fire to intercept another pumpkin bomb. The explosions light up the night, bathing the bridge in a flickering orange glow.

BOOM!

As the smoke clears, Datamon floats into view, its chanical eye gleaming with malicious intent. It unleashes a barrage of Digital Bombs, each one carrying a potent virus designed to disrupt and corrupt.

"Heavy Speaker!"

The low-frequency pulse from Ballistamon's Heavy Speaker shatters Datamon's Digital Bombs mid-air. The sound is palpable, a physical force that vibrates through the bridge, disrupting the Goblin's concentration. The Goblin, montarily staggered, loses altitude.

Thoom!

Explosions ripple outwards.

"Interfering pests!" The Goblin's voice booms over the roar.

Spider-Man swings, a crimson arc against the bridge's steel skeleton. He snags MailBirdramon just as the tal bird nears the road. The web strains, groaning under the weight, but holds. MailBirdramon dangles precariously, saved from certain destruction.

"Thank you," MailBirdramon calls out.

Vroom!

The Goblin's glider screams through the air, a blur of green and madness. He's locked onto Spider-Man, ignoring the others. The board lurches, a blade glinting.

"You think you can play hero?" Goblin cackles. "Let's see how heroic you are splattered across the asphalt!"

Whoosh!

Before Spider-Man can react, a golden blur intercepts. Renamon, a whirlwind of fur and fury, deflects the glider with a spinning kick, sending the Goblin veering off course.

"I will not allow you to harm him!" Renamon snarls, her blue eyes blazing.

Spider-Man and Renamon stand shoulder-to-shoulder, a united front against the Goblin's lunacy. The Goblin circles, his laughter echoing across the bridge.

"A fox and a spider? How touching!" He unleashes a volley of Goblin Grenades, each one designed to incinerate.

Swish!

Spider-Man shoots a web line, yanking Renamon out of the path of destruction. The grenades detonate, the force concussive.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah!" Renamon shouts.

Thwip!

Spider-Man slingshots forward, closing the distance between himself and the Green Goblin.

Renamon crouches, ready to strike.

"Diamond Storm!"

A barrage of razor-sharp leaves explodes from Renamon's hands, a glittering storm aid to shred the Goblin.

"Ha! Child's play!"

The Goblin manipulates a green fire, deflecting the leaves.

"You dare oppose ? Face the wrath of the Goblin Fire!"

The Goblin blasts green fire at Renamon.

Crack!

A direct hit, searing fur and flesh. Renamon is thrown backward, slamming against the bridge's railing.

"Renamon!" Gwen cries out, her voice a raw scream of anguish that cuts through the chaos.

George tries to reach Gwen, his voice hoarse with warning. "Gwen, no! Stay back! It's too dangerous!"

But Gwen is deaf to his pleas, her focus solely on the fallen Digimon. Adrenaline surges, propelling her forward. She wrenches free of George's grasp, her father's warning dissolving into white noise, a re buzz in the face of her growing fear.

"Gwen, please!"

Gwen ignores her father, her feet pounding on the icy roadway as she races toward Renamon. The wind whips at her hair, blurring her vision. All that matters is reaching the fox-like Digimon. All that matters is reaching her.

Gwen reaches Renamon's side, dropping to her knees on the frigid asphalt. She cradles Renamon's head in her hands, her fingers tracing the singed fur, her face stricken with worry. "Renamon, please, stay with !"

Renamon's body begins to flicker, pixelating at the edges. Her form, once so solid and vibrant, is now unstable, threatening to dissolve into nothingness. The light in her blue eyes dims, replaced by a distant, fading glow.

Gwen's desperation intensifies. She clutches Renamon tighter, as if physical contact alone can anchor the Digimon to this world. "No, no, no! Don't die on ! Please, Renamon!"

Renamon's voice is a bare whisper, barely audible above the wind and the distant sounds of chaos. "Gwen… I am… sorry."

Tears stream down Gwen's face, freezing on her cheeks. "Sorry? What are you sorry for? Don't leave , Renamon! I just t you! I need you! We just started being friends."

She sobs, her words choked with emotion. "Please, Renamon, you can't… I can't…"

Renamon's form flickers again, more violently this ti, as if a glitch is tearing her apart from the inside. "Thank you… for your… kindness."

Gwen refuses to accept Renamon's fate, shaking her head with fierce determination. "No! I won't let you! You can't just… disappear! There has to be sothing I can do!"

Her voice rises in a desperate plea, a challenge to the uncaring universe. "You have to live, Renamon! I won't let you die!"

Suddenly, Gwen's phone, tucked into her pocket, begins to glow with an intense, otherworldly light. The light pulses, radiating outwards, casting eerie shadows on the icy surface of the bridge. A soft hum emanates from the device, growing louder, resonating in Gwen's bones.

She stares at her phone in disbelief, as it begins to transform. The smooth, familiar lines of the smartphone warp and shift, hardening into a sleek, blue casing adorned with glowing light blue LEDs. It's no longer a phone. It is sothing else entirely.

Renamon's pixel art flickers to life on the screen of the device. It pulses. Below the image, a single prompt appears, stark and undeniable:

[Evolution: Y/N]

Gwen stares at the screen, her mind racing. Could this be real? Could this be the answer? A wave of hope washes over her, battling the despair that threatens to consu her. There is no ti to think. There is only ti to act.

With a resolve born of desperation and love, Gwen presses "Y".

The screen flares, obliterating the image of Renamon.

[EVOLUTION]

The transformation begins. A blinding light erupts from the device, enveloping Renamon in a cocoon of pure energy. The air crackles, the bridge hums, and the very fabric of reality seems to shimr. A wave of heat washes over Gwen, pushing her back. The light intensifies, eclipsing everything else.

Gwen shields her eyes, but she cannot escape the overwhelming power. She can feel it coursing through her, resonating with the hope and love that fuels her desperate act.

"Renamon, Digivolve to—!"

Slowly, the light begins to subside. The energy dissipates, revealing a figure standing where Renamon once lay. The figure is taller, more majestic, wreathed in flickering blue flas. Nine tails sway behind her, their tips ablaze with mystical energy.

"Kyubimon!"

Gwen stares at the fox Digimon, awe and confusion warring within her. "Renamon?"

The Digimon turns, her golden fur gleaming in the moonlight. Her blue eyes, now larger and wiser, et Gwen's gaze. A soft smile graces her lips.

"I'm Kyubimon now, Gwen."
