I watched Tony carefully place the newly synthesized elent into a fresh Arc Reactor casing. The room humd with a different kind of energy now, one of quiet anticipation. Tony then fitted the completed reactor into a new chest piece.

"The new Arc Reactor is fully operational, sir," JARVIS announced, his voice as calm as ever. "It is not only safer, but also significantly more powerful and efficient than the old palladium-fueled version."

Peter studied the readings on a nearby screen, his face lit with amazent. Agumon and Gabumon peered at the glowing device with wide, childlike wonder. They did not fully grasp its scientific importance but recognized its impressive aura.

"Look at that thing, Ethan!" Agumon exclaid. "It's so shiny!"

"It feels… warm," Gabumon added, a little hesitant to get too close.

I looked at the Arc Reactor with a wide smile. Tony created the new arc reactor much earlier than in the canon. I wondered what changes this might bring. Well, I did cause this, after all. I smirked internally.

Tony, never one for patience, expressed his desire to test the new Arc Reactor imdiately. He began to unclip his old chest piece, preparing to replace his existing reactor with the new one.

"Let's get this baby installed," Tony said, a grin spreading across his face. "No ti like the present to upgrade."

"Sir, the full test protocols have not yet been completed," JARVIS warned, a hint of concern in his usually unflappable tone.

Peter's brow furrowed with worry. "Mr. Stark, maybe we should run a few more diagnostics? Just to be safe?"

Tony waved away their reservations. "Diagnostics are for rookies, Pete. The best and most reliable test for any of my inventions is always real-world application. Besides, what's life without a little danger?" He chuckled, already reaching for the new reactor. I just shook my head, knowing there was no stopping him once he got an idea in his head.

Tony, with a quick, practiced motion, replaced his old Arc Reactor with the glowing new one. A faint tallic taste still lingered in his mouth for a mont, a phantom echo of the palladium poisoning he had endured for so long. The spiderweb-like blue veins that had marred Tony's skin slowly began to recede. A look of profound relief washed over Tony's face as he took a deep breath, clearly feeling better than he had in years. The subtle changes in his expression spoke volus about the freedom he now felt.

A renewed sense of vigor seed to fill Tony. With a triumphant grin, he called for his Iron Man armor.

"JARVIS, initiate suit-up sequence," Tony commanded.

[SUIT-UP SEQUENCE INITIATED]

Panels in the ceiling slid open. tallic arms descended, carrying sections of the Mark V armor. Each piece snapped into place with sharp, precise clicks.

CLANK

WHIRR

The chest plate, housing the new Arc Reactor, glowed brightly as it locked into position. Tony raised a gauntleted hand, giving us a quick thumbs-up, then launched himself skyward through the open hangar ceiling.

WHOOSH

I watched him go, a small smile playing on my lips.

He was truly reckless, but it was an observation filled with a hint of admiration.

"He certainly doesn't waste any ti, does he?" Peter said, still looking up at the hole Tony made in the ceiling.

"That's Tony Stark for you," I replied, shaking my head.

"Always has to be the first to try out his new toys."

Agumon and Gabumon chirped excitedly, clearly impressed by the display.

"He flies so fast!" Agumon exclaid, his eyes wide.

"I wish I could fly like that," Gabumon added, a little wistfully.

"Maybe one day, Gabumon," I told him. "Maybe one day."

"Peter, hop on!" I yelled, already pushing my Digivice to summon MailBirdramon.

The familiar digital particles coalesced, and MailBirdramon appeared with a tallic shimr, wings already extended.

"Co on, Pete! We're not missing this show," I urged.

Peter, still slightly dazed but always up for an adventure, scrambled onto MailBirdramon's back. Gatomon and BlackGatomon, always ready for action, were already perched on the chanical bird's shoulders, their tails twitching with excitent.

"MailBirdramon, keep a discreet distance," I commanded. "We just want to observe Tony's test flight. Don't be too obvious."

MailBirdramon ascended with a powerful thrum, soaring into the sky. We broke through the clouds, the city sprawling beneath us like a circuit board. Tony, in his Mark V armor, was a bright red and gold streak against the blue, performing aerial acrobatics with reckless abandon.

"WOO-HOO!" Agumon cheered, gripping tightly onto MailBirdramon's neck.

"He's certainly enjoying himself," Gatomon observed, a hint of amusent in her voice.

Tony executed daring dives that made my stomach lurch, followed by sharp turns that pulled tight G-forces. He then perford breathtaking loops, leaving trails of faint blue energy from his repulsors. Each maneuver demonstrated the new Arc Reactor's raw power and efficiency. The suit's repulsors pulsed with a steady, clean energy. Tony's flawless movents confird that the new power source perford exactly as intended. Everything seed to be going perfectly.

Tony zipped past us, pulling off a perfect barrel roll. Peter let out a gasp of amazent.

"He's good," Peter admitted, still wide-eyed. "Really good."

"He's got his monts," I conceded, a playful edge to my voice. I leaned forward, patting MailBirdramon's tallic neck. "Alright, big guy, let's bring it in. We've seen enough to know the new heart's working."

MailBirdramon began a smooth, graceful descent towards the Stark Industries landing pad. The cool wind whipped around us, making my Digi-Camo flutter. As we got closer, my lighthearted mood vanished faster than Tony's manners. Below, two figures stood waiting, their forms sharply outlined against the gleaming chro of the pad.

Nick Fury.

And Coulson.

My internal alarm bells started ringing. This was not a social call. Not with those two. Fury's single eye seed to bore right through MailBirdramon's tal plating, and Coulson, ever stoic, looked like he was about to deliver bad news, or worse, a subpoena.

"Well, this looks like fun," BlackGatomon remarked, a predatory smirk playing on her lips. "Trouble always seems to follow you, doesn't it, Ethan?"

Gatomon sighed softly, a touch of exasperation in her voice. "We haven't even landed yet, and I can already feel the tension."

I knew that feeling. This was going to be a long conversation.
