I gotta admit, this hacking thing is way easier than I thought it would be. It's like my brain is hardwired to navigate this digital world. I spend the next hour bouncing from phone to computer, leaving a trail of minor chaos in my wake. A few embarrassing emails sent, a couple of dating profiles hilariously altered, and a politician's Twitter account briefly spouting nonsense about the joys of competitive napping. Harmless stuff, mostly. But the best part is that nobody suspects a thing. I'm like a digital ghost, flitting through their lives without a trace.

"Okay, I've ssed with enough plebs," I announce, stretching my ntal muscles. "Ti to see what I can really do."

Gatomon yawns. "Are you sure that's wise, Ethan? You've only just gotten these abilities."

"Relax, I'm just poking around," I say. "It's not like I'm going to try and hack SHIELD or anything."

BlackGatomon grins. "Yet."

I ignore her and focus on finding a suitable target. I need sothing with serious security, sothing that will test my skills. As if on cue, I'm yanked back into reality. I find myself standing on the sidewalk outside. My eyes scan the street.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"Looks like you dragged us out of that phone, genius," BlackGatomon says, unimpressed.

My gaze drifts across the street. I feel like I was pulled here for a reason. My eyes land on a tall, imposing building. The place has tinted windows, concrete walls, and security caras sprouting from every corner. There is a small sign with an eagle on it.

"I know this place," I murmur, snapping my fingers. "My school went here for a field trip. It is the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. They store the country's gold reserves here. They got so heavy-duty cybersecurity."

Gatomon looks concerned. "Ethan, are you sure about this?"

"Positive," I say, my eyes gleaming. "It's the perfect place to test my limits. I'm not going to steal anything, I just want to see if I can get in."

I close my eyes, picturing the building's network. I activate Connect Jump, and the familiar sensation of datafication washes over . Gatomon and BlackGatomon morph into data beside , and we're sucked into the digital ether once more.

The transition is jarring. One mont, I'm standing on a mundane street corner, the next, I'm staring into a vast digital fortress. The Federal Reserve's cyberspace is nothing like the chaotic ss of the internet. This is organized, structured, and heavily defended. Firewalls shimr like energy shields, and encrypted pathways twist and turn like a digital labyrinth.

"Whoa," I mutter. "This place is serious."

"No kidding," Gatomon says, her eyes narrowed. "I can feel the security protocols buzzing around us."

"Bring it on," BlackGatomon says, cracking her knuckles.

I start probing the defenses, looking for a weakness. I try a few basic hacks, but they're imdiately blocked by sophisticated intrusion detection systems. It's like trying to pick a lock with a toothpick.

"Okay, ti to get creative," I say, accessing my Hacking skill.

I start weaving my way through the network, searching for a backdoor or vulnerability. The code here is complex, but I can understand it. I can feel the logic flowing through my mind. It's like solving a complex puzzle.

Suddenly, alarms blare in the digital space. Red lights flash, and a voice booms, "Intruder detected! Intruder detected! Initiating security protocols!"

"Well, that's not good," I say, wincing.

"We've been spotted!" Gatomon shouts.

Then, they appear. Digital robots. They materialize from the code itself, towering figures with glowing eyes and energy weapons. They look like sothing out of a bad science fiction movie.

"Cybersecurity automatons," I say, recognizing them. "They're like digital antivirus programs, but with teeth."

"They look angry," BlackGatomon says, baring her fangs.

The automatons charge, firing blasts of energy that tear through the digital landscape. I dodge, narrowly avoiding getting vaporized.

"Run!" I shout. "There are too many of them!"

We turn and flee, the automatons hot on our heels. The digital fortress turns into a deadly obstacle course. Firewalls slam shut in front of us, encrypted pathways crumble, and the automatons keep firing, their energy blasts whizzing past our heads.

"This way!" Gatomon shouts, leading us through a maze of code.

We weave and dodge, trying to evade the relentless pursuit. But the automatons are fast, and there are too many of them. They're closing in.

"We can't outrun them!" BlackGatomon says, panting. "We have to fight!"

"I don't want to engage!" I shout. "I just wanted to see if I could get in!"

"No choice!" Gatomon yells, stopping and turning to face the automatons. BlackGatomon joins her, her eyes blazing with defiance.

"You two get out of here!" I say. "I'll hold them off!"

"Don't be ridiculous, Ethan!" Gatomon snaps. "We're in this together!"

"Fine, but be careful!"

The automatons reach us, and the battle begins. Gatomon unleashes a barrage of Lightning Paws, striking the automatons with blinding speed. BlackGatomon tears into them with her Corrupted Ring Empowernt, her claws dripping with dark energy.

The automatons retaliate, firing energy blasts and swinging their massive arms. Gatomon and BlackGatomon dodge and weave, their movents a blur of motion. They manage to destroy a few automatons, but more keep appearing.

"There are too many of them!" Gatomon shouts, gritting her teeth. "We need to retreat!"

"I agree!" I yell.

I scan the area, looking for an escape route. I spot a faint signal, a weak connection to the outside world. "There!" I shout, pointing. "That's our way out!"

We break off the fight and race towards the signal, the automatons still on our tail. The connection flickers, threatening to disappear.

"Hurry!" I shout.

Gatomon and BlackGatomon reach the connection and dive through, disappearing into the light. I follow close behind, feeling the heat of an energy blast on my back. I make it through just as the connection collapses.

The transition is abrupt and disorienting. One mont, I'm running for my life in a digital fortress, the next, I'm sprawled on the ground in a grimy back alley. Gatomon and BlackGatomon land beside , panting and bruised.

"That was close," Gatomon says, shaking her head.

"Too close," BlackGatomon agrees, licking her paws. "I hate those digital tin cans."

I sit up, rubbing my head. "Well, that was a learning experience. I guess I'm not as good as I thought I was."

"Don't be so hard on yourself, Ethan," Gatomon says. "That was the Federal Reserve."

"Yeah," BlackGatomon adds. "Besides, we made it out alive. That's all that matters."

"You're right."

I can't help but grin, thinking about the chaos we caused. The three of us laugh—a symphony of relief, adrenaline, and sheer ridiculousness.
