Now reading: Chapter 1369 - 1368: The "Little Cuties" in the Dungeon from Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!, a Game novel by Xibei Cat.

Have you ever seen those people wearing fluffy, cute costu suits, handing out flyers at the mall entrance? Each one is big, adorably clumsy, and indeed quite cute. However, what Fang Zheng saw right now was sothing completely unrelated to cute.

These "creatures" looked as if normal people had donned gigantic teddy bear costu heads. Below the neck were thin limbs, appearing as though they were carved from hard wood, resembling African refugees. Yet, above the neck was a terrifying large head!

To put it bluntly, it’s as if soone insisted on using a normal bear’s head to create a teddy bear, forcibly inflating its head into a round shape. The eyes inside were swollen and bloodshot. From the open bloody mouth, sharp teeth and strands of sticky saliva could be clearly seen...

If going by the theory "appearance is justice," then these creatures definitely weren’t justice. They were the scariest demons that could only appear in nightmares, enough to terrify any child who saw them into madness.

What the hell are these things? Did soone create them to take revenge on society?

Fang Zheng frankly admitted that he couldn’t stand these things. To be honest, even Aliens and Zerg had their unique aesthetic. But these things felt like a collection of all the world’s chaos; just looking at them was enough to make one vomit.

"Chirp chirp chirp!"

"Coo coo coo!"

Even more spine-chilling was that these creatures didn’t speak human language but animal sounds. Not only that, there were almost all kinds of sounds. If you closed your eyes, you’d think you were at a slaughterhouse or zoo.

"Nymph, record the life signs of the other side."

Fang Zheng almost resisted the nausea to give the order. To be honest, he hadn’t commanded the Aliens to attack these creatures imdiately because their behavior seed orderly. And according to the Golden Dragon Girl, there was almost no orderly life in this Twilight Frontier.

Apparently, that wasn’t the case now.

"Life signal recording complete, beginning comparison scan."

After receiving the life signals of these creatures from Fang Zheng, Nymph quickly waved her hands, rapidly comparing these life signals with the scanned signals. Then, with a wave of her small hand, the densely packed red signals on the map disappeared instantly, leaving only a few scattered red dots.

"Aliens, deploy to search these locations!"

After confirming the positions, Fang Zheng imdiately sent the map and target locations into the Swarm Network. The Aliens then split into small teams, silently moving along the shadows into the depths of the dungeon.

While controlling the Aliens to search the entire dungeon, Fang Zheng also carefully observed these mysterious races. Although they looked super gross and terrifying on the outside, observing them along the way revealed that these creatures clearly lived a quite orderly and civilized life. Ignoring their appearance, their lifestyle didn’t look much different from other civilized races.

Fang Zheng even saw these creatures planting mushrooms and herding so obviously mutated underground lizards. He also saw them slting tal and crafting tools. Clearly, this was a very mature civilization.

But how this civilization developed here, Fang Zheng didn’t know. He also tried using the "Ratziel" for investigation, but perhaps due to being in the Twilight Frontier, the results were either incoherent or simply random gibberish.

Clearly, no useful clues could be obtained.

During this process, other Alien teams also responded. They found either so mutated underground creatures or monsters that didn’t look human at all in those targets... certainly not the Pope.

Now just one last team remained.

Fang Zheng leaned back in his chair, leisurely watching the last Alien team through the Swarm Network. This was the advantage of modern technology. In the past, he would probably have to painstakingly lead a team for secret infiltration or tactical espionage. Now he just had to sit on the warship and wait for reports.

Indeed, this was the correct way to fight.

However, the deeper they went, the more Fang Zheng realized sothing seed not quite right. As the Alien team ventured further in, the scenes before their eyes turned increasingly grim.

Everywhere were those creatures’ corpses, holding weapons, seeming to have been in battle with so enemy. But most of these creatures were burned down to half remains, with so even having their big heads blown off. It appeared there had been a particularly brutal battle here.

And not too long ago.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng imdiately instructed the Aliens to stay alert, as only those big-headed dolls’ corpses could be seen, but not their enemy’s corpses. This was itself a bizarre phenonon. To avoid any accidents, Fang Zheng didn’t let his guard down.

And when the Alien team passed the battlefield and turned into another passage, what ca into view left Fang Zheng astonished.

On a platform as big as three soccer fields, there were countless eggs, stretching out of sight! They were uniformly gray and about as tall as two people. So of the eggshells were broken, and beside these eggshells, creatures resembling a hybrid of lizards, lions, or tigers were roaring, battling each other, and tearing into one another. The whole scene was like a riot of thousands, a chaotic lee.

"Nymph, enhance scanning on Area F27, did you detect any life signals?"

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s order, Little Angel quickly extended her hand again, swiftly swiping through the air, then shook her head.

"Sorry, master, I still didn’t detect any life signals."

"This is damned strange."

Fang Zheng frowned. What kind of joke was this? He clearly saw a horde of monsters fighting, but Little Angel couldn’t find a single life reaction? Could they be undead creatures? But they didn’t look like it...

With that thought, Fang Zheng made a decision to dispatch an Alien to explore and check the situation.

Soon, an Alien, under Fang Zheng’s control, lurked in the shadows and quietly approached the platform. The monsters seed indeed quite dumb, focused solely on fighting each other, completely oblivious to the Alien’s approach. Fang Zheng manipulated the Alien to sneak behind one of the creatures, then raise its tail and stab fiercely at the creature’s head!

"Clang!!!"

The Alien’s sharp tail couldn’t penetrate the creature’s scales, bouncing off instead. The attacked creature swiftly turned its head and fixed its gaze on the Alien, then opened its mouth wide, letting out a roar!

"Roar!!!"

However, at that mont, sothing unexpected happened.

Just as the creature roared, Fang Zheng suddenly felt his vision blur, and the next instant, he was shocked to find the connection with the Alien had severed!

PS: Discharging from the hospital on Thursday, it’s been a long wait....
