What is this?
Gazing at the terrifying monster before him that seed like sothing out of a nightmare, the Sheriff was completely clueless about what to do next. His right hand was tightly gripping the hilt of his Longsword, yet he was completely unable to draw his weapon.
"—————!!"
The Hydralisk let out a piercing roar at the Sheriff in front of it, and the Sheriff staggered backwards. It was then, to his surprise, that he noticed a large group of grotesque and terrifying monsters gathering on the purple soil, moving towards them.
Damn! Are these Chaos Beasts? No, they don’t quite look like Chaos Beasts, do they?
"—————!"
While the Sheriff was still in a state of shock and uncertainty, the Hydralisk issued another warning roar and swung its lethal claws. It was obvious to anyone who wasn’t a fool what it ant—the land belonged to these terrible creatures, and they were banishing these rash intruders...
"Retreat, retreat from here imdiately!!"
Clearly, the Sheriff was neither a fool nor a blind man. Seeing the hundreds and thousands of Zerg on the opposite land, he knew that charging forward would only lead to his forces’ annihilation. He promptly issued an order, then swiftly pulled back. The Zerg coldly watched the uninvited guests until they disappeared over the other side of the hill, then returned to their territory.
"Phew... what in the world was that monster?"
Only after retreating far from the "uncharted territory" did the Sheriff reach out to wipe the cold sweat from his forehead. He had not anticipated encountering such a terrifying creature... It looked no different from the devils in Hell! Damn it, why is this place overtaken by Demon Beasts? What on earth is happening with these damn things?
However...
Contemplating the warning the last monster had given him, the Sheriff furrowed his brows in confusion and deep thought.
Although those monsters appeared like Chaos Monsters, the Sheriff was well aware that Chaos Monsters don’t possess a shred of reason, and if it had been one of them, it would have likely devoured him in one bite. But it seed more like they were threatening and warning... Could it be that those creatures were not Chaos Monsters?
"Master!"
As the Sheriff pondered deeply, a voice rang out, and at the sound, the Sheriff’s spirits lifted. He turned toward the source of the voice and quickly a thief appeared out of nowhere in front of him.
"You’ve returned? How did it go? Did you find anything?"
"This is the only thing I’ve managed to get."
At the Sheriff’s inquiry, the thief shook his head, then held up a thick, purple, gel-like substance. The Sheriff was taken aback upon seeing it.
"What is this?"
"This is what covered that uncharted land. I don’t know what it is exactly, but this stuff almost covered the entire uncharted territory..."
"......"
Taking the strange gel-like substance from the thief, the Sheriff examined it carefully, but of course, he couldn’t discern anything significant.
"Let’s go, we must return and report this matter to the Lord!"
With only a few n at his command, the Sheriff knew they could not possibly eradicate those weird creatures; thus he quickly decided to retreat to the estate. As for what to do next... that decision would be up to the Lord.
And while several families, including the Iron Shield and others, returned from the uncharted territory without success, Fang Zheng also received reports about the Kingdom of Fla from his subordinate Zerg.
"I didn’t expect them to move so quickly..."
Based on the intelligence Fang Zheng obtained from the Zerg, there were six or seven families attempting to breach into Zerg territory, but they were all repelled. These people clearly knew their limits and almost imdiately turned tail and left when the Zerg showed signs of Banishnt.
Well... although these guys seed to get the ssage, Fang Zheng did not really believe they would give up so easily. The reason was simple: before leaving, all of these families had surreptitiously taken several pieces from the Fungal Carpet when the Zerg weren’t paying attention.
Of course, the Swarm was well aware of these humans’ actions but did nothing about it, after all, bait was ant to be taken by the fish.
And next... well, it was just a matter of waiting patiently.
Fang Zheng believed that those guys would not disappoint him.
And indeed, Fang Zheng’s guess proved to be right.
A few days later, when the Sheriff returned to this "undiscovered land," he was no longer followed by the re hundreds from before. Instead, the soldiers who accompanied him to the "undiscovered land" on this expedition numbered in the thousands! Among them were even Mages and Knights!
Not only that, but a closer look revealed that, in addition to the flag of the Longsword, the flags of the Eagle and Iron Shield were also present!
Three families had united for a joint expedition to conquer the "undiscovered land"!

Just a few days after obtaining that strange material, the Sheriff noticed his Lord begin to mobilize the Army while also sending envoys to contact other neighboring families. Eventually, they ford an alliance with the Iron Shield Family and the Eagle Family, deciding to jointly develop the land. Only at this point did the Sheriff finally learn the whole story from others.
As it turned out, everything hinged on that strange substance!
The Alchemists under the Lord’s command were shocked to find that this peculiar material, when ground down, contained a high nutritional value. It could not only stimulate crop growth but even reduce their growth period! Furthermore, after testing, the Alchemists discovered that this substance could turn barren wastelands into fertile fields!!
Even as a low-ranking individual, the Sheriff understood what this ant.
Fertile land!! Food! And everything else!
In the vast but sparsely populated western continent, most of the land was desert and unfit for agriculture, often forcing the Kingdom of Fla to purchase grain from other countries. This led to rationing in years of disaster and famine. If they could obtain this substance that transford desolate lands into arable soil, then... the entire Kingdom of Fla would undergo a radical transformation!
And they would gain endless wealth and glory!!
Precisely because of this, the Lord was willing to put aside petty disputes and even went so far as to collaborate with two other families, aiming to secure the land in one fell swoop—of course, the most important thing was to eliminate the Demon Beasts that resided on their own land!

As the horns for the charge sounded from within the military formation, the Sheriff drew his Longsword from his waist, pointed forward, and shouted loudly.
"For the Master Lord—Charge!!"
With the rallying cry, the Soldiers surged forward, brandishing their weapons as they charged into this strange and unknown land.
