"Now I want to try the challenge thod," Max said as he turned his gaze toward Tian, his expression calm yet clearly focused. "How does this thod work?"
Tian did not hesitate. "In this case, Master must first choose the dinsion you wish to unlock," he explained in a steady and respectful tone. "Once the choice is made, a trial corresponding to that dinsion will be generated."
He continued, "The trial will consist of several challenges. These challenges are not fixed in form, nor are they purely based on combat. They are designed randomly and will test Master's strength, comprehension, and will."
Tian paused briefly before adding, "If Master successfully passes all the challenges within the trial, the chosen dinsion will be unlocked and assimilated into Master's dinsional system. If Master fails, the trial will end, and the dinsion will remain sealed until Master attempts the challenge again at a later ti."
Max listened carefully, his thoughts already beginning to turn. This thod was clearly far more demanding than the random unlock, but it also offered sothing the other thod did not. Choice. The ability to target a specific dinsion ant he could plan his growth instead of relying on chance.
"I understand," Max said slowly, a faint smile forming at the corner of his lips. The challenge thod was dangerous, but danger had never been sothing he shied away from. On the contrary, it was often where his greatest growth ca from.
Just at that mont, a vast list unfolded before Max's vision, lines of radiant text descending endlessly, each one carrying the na of a dinsion followed by a concise yet profound description.
The mont he perceived it, his eyes shone brilliantly, reflecting the sheer magnitude of what lay before him. The list was not rely long. It felt almost infinite, as though it contained possibilities that stretched beyond eras and realms, each dinsion representing a different concept, environnt, or authority waiting to be claid.
Yet Max did not allow himself to be distracted. Despite the temptation to read every entry, he steadied his thoughts and focused on what he truly needed. His gaze moved swiftly across the nas, filtering them one by one, searching for a dinsion where humans or other life forms could exist freely without harm or restriction.
He ignored dinsions of extre elents, hostile voids, and abstract concepts that would tear ordinary beings apart. What he sought was not power alone, but refuge.
After a short while, his eyes stopped.
Dinsion of Genesis.
The na alone carried weight, and as Max read the description, his breath slowed. This dinsion was capable of housing any form of life without being detected by external perception. No aura would leak.
No spatial ripple would form. No divine sense, no matter how powerful, could detect the presence of life hidden within it. Even the strongest existences of the Divine Realm would perceive nothing at all.
Max felt his heart tighten slightly as the aning sank in.
This was exactly what he had been searching for.
"With this dinsion," Max murmured softly, a genuine smile spreading across his face as he clenched his fists, "I can bring Alice and Lena to the Divine Realm without a single worry."
There would be no pursuit, no surveillance, no hidden danger lurking from beings far beyond his current reach. They would be safe, completely beyond the awareness of the world, until the day he was strong enough to protect them openly.
At that mont, the endless list faded into the background. For Max, only one choice remained, and he already knew he would not let this opportunity slip away.
Just as Max confird his decision, the space before him rippled gently, and a door manifested out of nothing. It stood quietly in the hall, its surface smooth and unadorned, yet it carried a sense of inevitability that made it impossible to ignore.
"Master, now that you have chosen which dinsion to unlock, this door will lead you to the trial you must pass for that dinsion," Tian said calmly from behind him.
Max nodded, his gaze fixed on the door. He took a step forward, then paused. Turning back toward Tian, he asked, "What kind of trial should I expect inside?"
Tian answered without hesitation. "It will be mostly combat."
"And who will I be fighting?" Max asked, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"You will find out once you step through the door," Tian replied.
Max let out a wry smile and sighed softly. There was no point in pressing further. He reached out, pushed the door open, and stepped inside.
The world shifted instantly.
Max found himself standing in the middle of a dense forest. Towering trees stretched high above him, their canopies blocking out most of the sky, while the ground beneath his feet was covered in fallen leaves and thick roots.
The air was calm, carrying the scent of earth and greenery, yet there was sothing unnaturally quiet about the place. No insects buzzed. No birds cried out. The forest felt alive in appearance alone.
Activating his Dinsional Sovereign Body instinctively, Max expanded his perception across the entire area. The result made his expression turn serious. The forest was completely empty, devoid of any life or hidden presence, with only two existences registered within this space.
One of them was himself.
The other stood deeper within the forest.
Max moved forward, his steps soundless as he weaved between the trees, until the second figure ca into view. As he drew closer, his eyes sharpened, and understanding dawned.
"It is indeed a puppet," Max muttered once he stood face to face with it.
The figure before him looked humanoid, its features refined yet strangely lifeless, as though carved rather than born.
Having spent ti around Tian, who was also a puppet, Max could imdiately recognize the subtle signs. This being was no living cultivator. It was a construct, designed solely for this trial.
Then Max sensed its aura more clearly, and his brows furrowed.
"Its strength is at the peak of the Rebirth Realm?" he said quietly.
He had not expected such a level of opposition right from the start, but as the thought settled, he understood the logic behind it.
If the trial did not present a genuine threat, it would not be worthy of guarding a dinsion like the Dinsion of Genesis. A challenge ant to unlock sothing so important could never be easy.
