Seeing how Aden adapted to the laws and crushing pressure of Planet Cyrus in rely ten seconds, many more disciples felt their courage rise. Several of them stepped forward instinctively, only to halt at the very edge of the star shuttle.
They stared down at the scorched ground below, watching the lingering traces of fla law ripple across the surface of the planet. Despite their renewed determination, not a single one of them dared to take that final step. Fear and hesitation still held them firmly in place.
Just then, another figure walked past the crowd. She moved with calm steps, her long black hair flowing gently behind her.
"It is Jane."
"The second ranked outer disciple."
"She is stepping out now."
A low buzz of voices spread through the crowd as everyone's attention shifted toward her.
"How long do you think she will take to adapt?"
"I do not know, but it should be longer than Aden."
"She is strong, but Aden is still ranked first."
As the disciples whispered among themselves, Jane finally stepped onto the surface of Planet Cyrus. The mont she did, violent flas surged up around her body, and the overwhelming pressure of the world descended upon her. Her body bent slightly under the weight, her posture lowering as she endured the combined assault of gravity and fla law.
"She is being pushed down."
"The pressure is terrifying."
For a brief stretch of ti, the flas continued to rage around her, scorching the air and distorting the space around her body. Then, slowly, the flas began to recede. The oppressive pressure weakened its hold, and Jane straightened her back.
After twenty seconds had passed, she took a steady step forward, then another, until she was walking freely across the surface of Cyrus. She soon reached Aden and ca to a stop beside him, her expression calm once more.
"Twenty seconds."
"She only took twenty seconds."
"That is unbelievable."
"Even if it is slower than Aden, twenty seconds is still monstrous."
The crowd stirred with renewed excitent and awe. While Aden's ten seconds had been shocking, Jane's performance was no less impressive. Though the disciples were astonished, there was no outright disbelief this ti. After all, the two people who had done this were the top ranked outer disciples of the Thirty Third Hall.
Even so, the gap between them and the rest of the crowd had never felt clearer.
"Humph! You are all cowards!" A loud and arrogant shout suddenly echoed through the interior of the star shuttle, instantly drawing everyone's attention.
A figure barged through the crowd of hesitant disciples and strode straight toward the edge of the shuttle. It was Dale. His expression was filled with disdain as he swept his gaze over the surrounding disciples, clearly enjoying the tension and fear written on their faces.
After that, he turned his eyes downward and looked at the scorched surface of Planet Cyrus, where faint traces of fla law still lingered in the air.
"So many people, yet none of you dare to step forward," Dale sneered. "Pathetic."
Without waiting for a response, he stepped out of the star shuttle and onto the surface of Cyrus.
The instant his foot touched the ground, the terrifying gravity descended upon him. Flas erupted violently around his body, roaring upward as if trying to swallow him whole. Dale let out a low grunt as his body was forced downward, his knees bending under the crushing pressure of the world.
"He is being suppressed."
"The flas are even more violent around him."
"Is he going to fail?"
Seconds passed one after another. Dale's face twisted slightly as sweat began to drip down his temples. The pressure clearly weighed heavily on him, far more than it had on Jane and especially Aden. His body trembled, and for a mont, it seed as though he might be slamd completely into the ground like the first disciples had been.
"Tch…" Dale clenched his teeth, refusing to give in. His aura flared as he forcibly circulated his power, struggling against the gravity and the raging fla laws that assaulted him from every direction.
Thirty seconds passed.
"He is still holding on."
"Thirty seconds already… that is much longer than Jane."
At the thirty sixth second, the flas around Dale finally began to weaken. The oppressive pressure loosened its grip, and his trembling body slowly straightened. With a sharp exhale, Dale took a step forward. Then another. The flas fully receded, leaving him standing upright on the surface of Cyrus.
"Thirty six seconds."
"He actually did it."
"Even if it took longer, that is still impressive."
Dale shot a glance back toward the star shuttle, his eyes filled with renewed arrogance. Although his performance could not compare to Aden's ten seconds or Jane's twenty, he had still succeeded where countless others hesitated.
With a cold snort, he walked forward and joined Aden and Jane beneath the elders, his posture once again filled with pride.
The disciples watching from the shuttle fell into uneasy silence. Seeing even Dale manage to adapt made it painfully clear that the true test was not courage alone, but strength, foundation, and willpower. And for many of them, the pressure of Planet Cyrus was already revealing just how far behind they truly were.
"Let us go and join them," Carl said quietly to Max as he and Laura moved forward through the crowd, their expressions steady despite the pressure hanging in the air.
Max nodded with a faint smile and followed behind them until the three of them arrived at the very edge of the star shuttle. From there, the oppressive atmosphere of Planet Cyrus could be felt clearly, even without stepping onto its surface. The heat pressed down like an invisible tide, and the distorted flow of fla law made the air itself feel heavy.
Carl was the first to step forward. The mont his foot touched the ground of Cyrus, the crushing gravity descended upon him and flas surged up around his body. His figure stiffened as his muscles tensed, his breathing turning heavy as he endured the pressure.
Second by second, he stood his ground, circulating his power with full focus. After forty seconds had passed, the flas gradually cald, and the weight bearing down on him loosened. Carl straightened his back and took a step forward, then another, until he was able to walk freely toward the elders.
