Now reading: Chapter 1506 Secrets of the 100th FLoor from Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100, a Fantasy novel by ShinGotLost.

The mont the young primordial disappeared from the ninety ninth floor, the surrounding space shifted.

Max felt a brief distortion pass through the air around him as though the tower itself had gently moved him from one location to another. The battlefield that had been filled with lightning, flas, and divine constructs vanished instantly.

When the distortion faded, Max realized he was standing in a completely different place.

He slowly looked around.

The environnt before him looked nothing like the arena of the previous floors. There were no vast battlefields, no defensive barriers, and no signs of combat having taken place there.

Instead the place looked strangely familiar.

It resembled a workspace.

Large tables stood scattered across the room, many of them covered with various tools that Max did not imdiately recognize. So tools appeared to be ancient instrunts crafted from unknown tals while others looked more like delicate devices used for precise work.

Shelves lined the walls of the chamber.

They were filled with countless books and scrolls stacked neatly one beside another. The number of volus alone suggested that whoever had worked in this place had spent an extrely long ti gathering knowledge.

Nearby several stands held rows of glass containers.

Chemical flasks, bottles, and tubes filled with liquids of different colors rested carefully within tal fras. So liquids glowed faintly with unusual light while others released soft vapors that drifted slowly through the air.

The entire place gave the impression of a laboratory or workshop rather than the final floor of a combat trial.

"What is this place?" Max wondered quietly as he began to walk slowly across the floor.

His eyes moved across the room with curiosity.

He was certain that this was the hundredth floor of the Combat Legion Tower. The tower spirit had brought him here imdiately after the primordial disappeared from the ninety ninth floor.

Yet this place did not resemble a battlefield at all.

Instead it looked like a location where soone had worked for an extrely long ti. The tools were carefully organized, the books showed signs of frequent use, and even the flasks appeared arranged in a way that suggested deliberate experintation.

It almost felt as though soone had lived and worked there for thousands of years.

Max continued examining the surroundings carefully.

Just as he was about to approach one of the tables filled with strange instrunts, a voice suddenly echoed from behind him.

"Finally soone other than that primordial has arrived at the hundredth floor."

The sudden voice startled Max slightly.

He turned around imdiately.

Standing a short distance behind him was the figure of an old man.

However the old man did not appear to possess a physical body.

His form looked like a transparent shadow. His entire figure was faint and slightly blurred, almost like a reflection made of mist. Max could clearly see the objects behind him through his body.

It was obvious that the old man was not truly alive.

He was so kind of spiritual projection or lingering soul.

"Who are you?" Max asked curiously as he looked at the transparent figure of the old man.

The old man observed him calmly for a mont before answering.

"I am the creator of this tower."

Max's brows lifted slightly when he heard those words. The answer surprised him, yet at the sa ti it did not feel completely unexpected. The strange laboratory surrounding them and the mysterious nature of the hundredth floor already hinted that whoever resided here must have so deep connection with the tower itself.

"You created this tower?" Max asked again as he looked around the room. "Then the hundred floors of this tower are so kind of trial?"

The old man slowly nodded.

"It is indeed a trial," he replied calmly. "Through this tower I wanted to find a worthy being who could inherit my lifeti of work."

As he said those words, the old man's expression turned sowhat complicated.

He let out a quiet sigh.

"However it was only after I finished creating the three towers that I realized that I had made a very serious mistake."

"A big mistake?" Max repeated while frowning slightly. "What are you talking about?"

The old man did not answer directly.

"You will understand soon enough," he said quietly as he looked at Max with thoughtful eyes.

His gaze lingered on Max for a mont before he spoke again.

"So the young primordial allowed you to pass the ninety ninth floor."

The old man seed to be analyzing Max silently as though confirming sothing.

"You should know that before you arrived here, the only person who ever managed to reach this floor was that young primordial."

Max nodded slightly.

He was not particularly surprised by that information. From the brief exchange he had with the primordial earlier, Max had already sensed how extraordinary his strength was. Even though their battle had only lasted a short mont, the power the primordial displayed was more than enough to defeat all the guardians that existed on the floors below.

The primordial could have easily ascended the tower if he wished.

However as Max thought about that, another question suddenly ford in his mind.

He frowned slightly.

"Wait a mont," Max said as he looked at the old man. "If the young primordial had already reached the hundredth floor before , then would he not have already inherited your work?"

The old man slowly shook his head.

"It is not that simple," he said calmly. "That young primordial did et every condition I had established for soone to enter the hundredth floor. However that does not an I wanted him to inherit my work."

Max's brows furrowed slightly when he heard that.

"Why?" he asked with genuine curiosity.

From Max's perspective, a primordial seed like the perfect candidate to inherit the lifeti achievents of a powerful expert. The Primordial Race was known as the most powerful race in the Divine Realm. Their talent, their bloodline, and their understanding of the universe far surpassed most other races.

Allowing such a being to inherit one's work would normally guarantee that the inheritance would reach unimaginable heights.

Yet the old man had deliberately refused him.
