The old man nodded slightly as though satisfied with what he saw.
"Co here," he said.
Max stepped forward without hesitation and walked closer to the old man's transparent figure.
Although the old man's body appeared like a shadow made of mist, there was still a faint sense of presence surrounding him.
The old man raised his hand slowly.
Then he tapped lightly on Max's forehead.
"Here," the old man said calmly. "This contains the entirety of my life's work."
"I am giving it all to you."
The mont his finger touched Max's forehead, an enormous surge of information poured directly into Max's mind.
It felt as though countless ancient scriptures, diagrams, cultivation thods, and theories were suddenly unfolding inside his consciousness all at once. The sheer amount of knowledge was overwhelming, yet Max's mind instinctively began absorbing it.
His eyes widened slightly as he processed the information flowing through him.
Then his eyes began to shine with excitent.
"Overlord Body Codex," Max muttered in shock.
"This is the cultivation thod for opening the Seven Divine Veins."
The revelation astonished him.
Although Max had previously learned how to open the second divine vein from the giant dwarves, that knowledge was incomplete. Their teachings only contained the thod required to unlock the second vein.
Even the dwarves themselves did not possess the complete path required to open all seven divine veins.
But the knowledge now flowing through Max's mind was different.
The Overlord Body Codex contained the full cultivation system dedicated to unlocking every one of the Seven Divine Veins.
"This part only contains the first four divine veins," the old man said slowly as he looked at Max with a calm but serious gaze.
Max could feel the massive stream of knowledge that had just entered his mind slowly settling down.
The Overlord Body Codex was not a simple cultivation technique. It was an entire system of body cultivation filled with countless theories, diagrams, and step by step thods explaining how to awaken the divine potential hidden inside the human body.
Even with Max's sharp mind, it would take ti for him to fully digest everything that had been given to him.
"If you follow the thods contained within this technique," the old man continued, "you will have a chance to open the first four divine veins. However I must make sothing clear to you. The codex only shows you the path. Whether you can actually walk that path or not depends entirely on your own ability."
He paused for a mont before continuing his explanation. "As for the final three divine veins, the thod to reach them does not exist within this tower. The knowledge you received is only half of the Overlord Body Codex. The remaining part of my work is hidden inside another tower that is similar to this one."
Max listened carefully as the old man continued speaking.
"There are two towers in total that contain my work. This tower holds the first half of the codex. The second tower holds the remaining part that explains the thods to unlock the final three divine veins."
The old man's expression grew more solemn as he added another condition.
"However there is sothing important you must understand. Even if you manage to find the second tower, you will not be able to obtain the rest of the Overlord Body Codex unless you have already opened the first four divine veins. The inheritance hidden within that tower will remain invisible to anyone who has not completed the first half of the path."
Max nodded slowly as he absorbed the aning of those words. The path laid before him was not simple at all. Before he could even search for the second tower, he would first have to successfully unlock four divine veins inside his own body.
The old man then sighed deeply as his expression turned much more serious.
"However I must warn you about sothing very important," he said slowly. "Even though I have developed a thod for opening the last three divine veins, that thod is still only a theory."
His voice carried a hint of regret as he continued.
"The Overlord Body Codex represents the results of my research and my lifeti of effort. It is not an absolute truth written by the laws of the universe. As I told you earlier, the true laws governing body cultivation have already faded away from this world. Because those laws disappeared long ago, the path of body cultivation has been blocked for countless ages."
He looked directly at Max as he spoke the next words.
"Because of this, opening the fifth, sixth, and seventh divine veins will be extrely difficult. In fact it should have been completely impossible. The disappearance of the body cultivation laws ans that the natural chanisms required to unlock those veins no longer exist."
The old man slowly shook his head.
"For countless years no cultivator in the entire Divine Realm has been able to go beyond the fourth divine vein. Even the Primordial Race, which possesses the most advanced techniques for body cultivation, has never managed to surpass that limit."
He then continued speaking with a heavy tone.
"The Overlord Body Codex attempts to bypass that limitation by using alternative cultivation principles that I discovered during my research. In theory it should allow soone to reach the final three divine veins. However the risks involved are enormous."
The old man's eyes beca extrely serious as he finished explaining.
"If soone attempts to open the last three divine veins using the Overlord Body Codex, there are only a few possible outcos. One possibility is success. Another possibility is death. The final possibility is that the person survives but becos permanently crippled."
He sighed again.
"In the past the chance of opening the last three divine veins was effectively zero percent. No one had any possibility of doing it. However with the complete Overlord Body Codex, that chance increases slightly."
The old man looked directly into Max's eyes.
"Now there is perhaps a one percent chance that it might succeed."
"This is great!" Max said with clear excitent in his voice. The knowledge he had just received was far beyond anything he had imagined when he first stepped into the Combat Legion Tower.
Even though the path ahead was filled with uncertainty and danger, the re existence of a possibility to walk beyond the limits of the Seven Divine Veins filled him with determination.
"Even if there is only one percent chance, I will still go for it," he said firmly.
In Max's mind, a one percent chance was already far greater than zero. As long as the path existed, no matter how narrow it might be, he would walk it with everything he had.
The old man watched him for a mont before a faint smile appeared on his face. Max's reaction did not surprise him. Throughout his long life he had seen countless cultivators who desired power, but very few possessed the kind of resolve that Max was showing now.
Most people would hesitate when faced with a path where death and crippling failure were equally likely outcos. Max, however, seed to see only the opportunity hidden within the risk.
"Apart from this tower and the second tower where the remaining half of the Overlord Body Codex is kept, there exists yet another tower that is very similar to these," the old man said slowly. His voice carried a thoughtful tone as if he were recalling sothing from the distant past. "That tower is the third tower."
He continued speaking as he gestured slightly toward the surroundings of the laboratory like chamber. "To be honest, the two towers where my inheritance is hidden were inspired by that third tower. I studied its structure and its principles for many years before I built these two towers. In a way you can say that the third tower was the inspiration behind my own creation."
The old man looked directly at Max as he spoke the next words.
"One day I want you to attempt to ascend that third tower."
Max nodded without hesitation. The determination in his eyes had not faded at all. "I will," he said confidently. For soone like him, a challenge like that only made the journey ahead even more exciting.
However Max quickly realized sothing important.
"But there is a problem," he added while frowning slightly. "I do not even know the location of the second tower that contains the other half of the Overlord Body Codex. If I cannot find that tower, then the third tower you ntioned will be even more impossible to locate."
He looked at the old man with curiosity.
"Where are these towers located?" Max asked.
