"This is the remaining part of the Overlord Body Codex," Saint Reiner said as he extended his hand.

Max's eyes sharpened slightly.

Without hesitation, he stepped forward and accepted it.

The mont his fingers touched the scroll, he could feel a familiar resonance, as if the fragnt he already possessed was reacting to its missing half. The two pieces called out to each other, forming a complete whole that sent a subtle ripple through his body.

Saint Reiner observed him quietly, his smile deepening just a little.

"You have done well to reach this point," he said. "The path ahead will only beco more difficult, but I believe you will walk it further than most."

There was a brief pause.

Then his gaze turned distant, as if he was looking far beyond the present.

"The Cosmic Ascension Conference," he continued slowly. "That is where the true stage begins."

His eyes returned to Max, carrying a quiet expectation.

"I would like to see you there."

Those were his final words.

The golden light around his figure began to intensify, his form gradually breaking apart into countless particles that drifted into the air.

Within monts, the illusion faded completely.

The vast hall returned to silence once more.

Only Max remained, standing at the very peak of the Combat Tower, holding the complete Overlord Body Codex in his hands.

"Saint Reiner does not seem to recognize ," Max muttered, a faint frown forming on his face as he looked at the empty space where the figure had just disappeared. "It looks like the soul fragnts in the two Combat Towers are not connected. They exist as separate fragnts, each carrying its own awareness."

The thought lingered in his mind for a mont, but before he could dwell on it any further, the space around him shifted once again.

In the next instant, he was already outside the tower.

Jonathan and Julie were waiting near the entrance, their gazes imdiately turning toward him the mont he appeared.

"How did it go?" Jonathan asked, his tone calm, though there was a hint of curiosity beneath it.

"It went well," Max replied with a nod. "I should thank both of you for this opportunity."

Jonathan and Julie both acknowledged his words with a slight nod, but at that mont, a trace of hesitation appeared on their faces. It was subtle, yet noticeable enough for Max to catch it imdiately.

He was about to ask what was on their minds when Jonathan spoke first.

"Let us leave this place for now," he said, his tone turning slightly serious. "It would not be wise to stay here for too long."

Max did not question it. He simply nodded and followed them.

The three of them moved away from the Combat Tower, leaving the area behind as they headed toward the guest mansions where the various forces were staying.

Only after they had reached a quieter part of the palace grounds did Jonathan speak again.

"Max, there is sothing you should be careful about Ray," he said, his expression now completely serious.

Max glanced at him.

"Ray Willer?" he asked.

Jonathan gave a small nod.

"Yes. Ray Willer, the one who ranked fourth in the first trial. He cos from the Supre Sword Faction, which has deep ties with the Sword God Palace."

His voice lowered slightly as he continued.

"I have heard him ntion that he wants to teach you a lesson, but I do not believe his intentions stop there. I have a bad feeling about him. From everything I know, he is not soone who holds back. He is ruthless, and he is willing to do anything if it benefits him, whether it is for power, wealth, or recognition."

Jonathan paused briefly before adding, "And right now, I believe he has set his sights on you."

Max's eyes narrowed slightly as he listened.

He had expected hostility from certain factions, especially those connected to the Sword God Palace, but this sounded different. This was not simple dissatisfaction or wounded pride. This carried the intent of sothing far more dangerous.

From Jonathan's tone, Max could clearly sense that this was not just about confrontation.

It was about killing intent.

A faint realization surfaced in his mind as he recalled the hesitation he had seen earlier on Jonathan and Julie's faces.

So that was the reason.

"Thank you for the warning," Max said, his voice calm as he gave a slight nod.

Jonathan nodded in return.

"In that case, we should not keep you any longer," he said.

Max did not object.

Soon after, Jonathan and Julie took their leave, their figures rising into the air as they headed back toward their own residence.

Max watched them for a brief mont before turning away and walking toward the mansion where the mbers of the Black Dragon Clan were staying.

He did not dwell too much on the matter.

At least not outwardly.

anwhile, as Jonathan and Julie made their way back, Julie could not hold back her thoughts any longer.

"Do you think we should have asked him about it?" she asked, her tone carrying a hint of uncertainty.

Jonathan let out a slow breath, his expression becoming more complicated.

"I am not sure," he admitted. "Max does not seem like soone we should approach so casually with such a request. He appears straightforward, but I do not want him to feel that we are trying to take advantage of him."

He paused for a mont before continuing.

"We should observe him a little longer before bringing it up. From what I have seen, he seems to have connections with several first rate forces, especially the War God Palace. Only forces at that level would have access to sothing like the Poison Erosion Fruit, which has nearly disappeared from the Divine Realm."

Julie's eyes shifted slightly as she listened.

Jonathan continued, his tone turning more thoughtful.

"Even the Celestial Forge Pavilion no longer has it. They have already declared it extinct. If there is still any chance of finding it, it would most likely be within the War God Palace."

He looked ahead, his gaze steady.

"And right now, the only link we have to them is Max. That is exactly why I do not want to rush this. If we push too soon, it might make it seem as though we are only approaching him for our own benefit."

Julie fell silent after hearing that, her thoughts settling as she understood his reasoning.

For now, all they could do was wait.
