Thinking like that, his expression filled with greed as he turned to Aelric. "Say, what would happen if you suddenly lost all these weapons?" he asked.
Crown Prince Aelric frowned, wondering why Max would ask such a question. "Just a scolding from my Royal Father, I guess," he replied.
The smile on Max's face widened at Aelric's words. "Then you should prepare yourself to lose all your weapons," he said, grinning. With a wave of uncontrollable force, dark flas shot out from his body like pillars.
"Black flas?" Alia, Bruce, and those from the East Region frowned upon seeing the black flas erupting from Max's body, but they didn't think much of it.
"You think changing the color of flas would help you?" Crown Prince Aelric asked, smiling at Max.
Max smirked, his grin widening. "Indeed. That's why I've used my black flas instead of the usual ones." As he spoke, he used his unmatched control over the black flas to spread them wide in the air above the thousands of blades.
In no ti, all ten thousand blades were engulfed by the black flas.
Aelric chuckled lightly. "I guess you don't know, but Chaos Stones, or things made from Chaos Stones, can't be destroyed by normal ans."
"Oh, I know that very well," Max grinned as his eyes glowed black for just a mont, then he commanded, 'Devour!'
Almost instantly, all the ten thousand weapons slowly but steadily began to sink into the black flas, as if they were being absorbed into them.
"What's this? I'm losing control over my weapons!" Aelric frowned, trying to command the weapons to fly out of the black fla range, but he found his link to them weakening.
Recalling Max's words from just a mont ago, a bad feeling rose in Aelric's heart as he understood what was happening.
Without wasting any ti, he dismissed all the swords under his control. By dismissing them, the weapons should have appeared inside his armory, but as he saw inside, a chill ran down his spine.
Almost half the weapons were gone. Only about five thousand of them remained in his armory. As for the rest, he could only look at the black flas surrounding the sky with a solemn face.
He couldn't believe that there existed flas capable of destroying materials made of Chaos Stones.
anwhile, Max was smiling nonstop, imagining how many Dragon Scales he would unlock this ti.
Soon, the notification he had been waiting for patiently arrived.
[Congratulations to Max Voidwalker for unlocking 289 Dragon Scales.]
"Huh? Only 289? What the hell?!" Max found the number too low, a re fraction compared to the thousands of weapons he had absorbed.
Although he felt so of those weapons had disappeared midway while he was devouring them, he still managed to devour at least half of them. The result was incredibly disappointing.
Only 289 Dragon Scales were unlocked after devouring thousands of weapons made from Chaos Stones.
'Weapons made from Chaos Stones?' Max understood sothing at that mont. Previously, he had directly absorbed Chaos Stones to unlock Dragon Scales, and even then, the ratio wasn't good. So he could understand a little if he only got this much from weapons made from materials like Chaos Stones.
"Max!" Just then, a shout reached his ears.
Max turned to see Crown Prince Aelric, whose face seed to have aged a thousand years instantly. "What did you do to my weapons?"
"Ah, that." Max wasn't sure how to reply, but he understood he had a day here. Scratching his chin a bit, he looked sideways and, in a tone slightly embarrassed, said, "I burned them into nothingness."
"You what?!" Crown Prince Aelric was shocked beyond disbelief, his eyes going wide with shock. "Do you know what you've done?" Experience more content on My Virtual Library Empire
"What?" Max wondered. Though he understood how Aelric must be feeling, he kind of understood too.
Aelric almost had the urge to cry when he saw Max's nonchalant expression. He gritted his teeth and said, "If you don't see after the temple thing, then don't believe anything, but know that I will be no more."
"What do you an by that?" Max asked, frowning.
Aelric glanced at him and sighed. "It ans my Royal Father will probably kill after I leave the temple."
He added, "Well, it's nice knowing you, Max." With those words, he admitted defeat and appeared at his pillar, sitting down with his head lowered.
"What the hell?! Is he overreacting or what?" Max muttered aloud, seeing how Aelric's attitude suddenly shifted from all-knowing, observing and noting everything about their battles, to appearing as though he had lost everything.
"Max wins." The blob announced Max as the winner, gesturing at the blank screen beside him. "Everyone, the final junction of this competition has finally co. With only three battles remaining to determine the strongest, turn your attention to the screen as the randomizer decides who will battle whom among the four seeds."
The blank screen began to flicker at the blob's words, as the four nas—Max, Veylin, Alia, and Asha—interchanged with each other for a few seconds before it finally stopped, revealing their opponents.
Max vs. Alia, and Veylin vs. Asha.
Everyone took deep breaths upon seeing who their opponents were. The geniuses present had already realized that whatever matches they got, a battle at the pinnacle level was guaranteed. Seeing the matchups now, they were even more surprised.
Alia, who hadn't even drawn her sword once, whose defense hadn't been breached even once, the person who seed purely mystical, against the dark horse, soone who defied everyone's expectations to enter the top four with his level 7 Apprentice Rank.
The battle between them would be a feast to watch.
As for the remaining two, they knew very little about them, but from what they had seen and heard, they were a force to reckon with—especially Veylin, who was the son of the Young Monarch himself.
Everyone beca excited to witness the two battles.
Just then, the entire Battle Realm began to tremble as the four stages began to rge with each other. The stage belonging to Max and Alia rged, and similarly, the stage between Veylin and Asha rged, forming two huge stages for the final battles to comnce.
