The hesitation and uncertainty from yesterday had completely disappeared from his expression. What replaced it now was determination.
"Since Julie has already been cured," Jonathan said seriously while looking directly at Max, "it is only right that we fulfill our side of the agreent as well."

"Everything has already been arranged."
The mont those words fell, both Jonathan and Julie turned around and began walking deeper into the pavilion area.
Max calmly followed behind them while silently observing the increasingly secluded surroundings.
The deeper they went, the quieter the atmosphere beca.
Soon, Jonathan led Max toward a hidden passage concealed beneath the pavilion itself.
After entering the underground area, the surroundings imdiately beca dark and cold.
There were no artificial lights illuminating the underground pathways. Instead, old burning torches lined the stone walls on both sides, causing flickering flas to cast long shadows throughout the tunnels.
The entire place carried an ancient and gloomy atmosphere.
