Chapter 525: Chaos Tree

Max’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the extraordinary phenonon unfolding within his inner world.

For a long mont, his mind failed to register what he was seeing—not because it was vague or mysterious, but because it was far too real, far too concrete for sothing that had no business being material at all.

“What the hell is this…?” he muttered aloud, his voice a whisper of awe and confusion.

Hovering beside his golden core, the embryonic seed-like form pulsed faintly with life, and the four small branches that had sprouted from it each radiated the unmistakable aura of a Concept he had painstakingly comprehended—Sword, Space, Fla, and Lightning.

Max could feel the raw truth of each branch, their energy entwined with his own, their resonance too vivid to be an illusion.

But that was exactly what disturbed him—Concepts weren’t supposed to take form. They weren’t things you could see or touch or track like cores or bloodlines.

Concepts were abstract—ntal fraworks, spiritual understandings, insights etched into the soul through experience and enlightennt. They were intangible reflections of one’s grasp over the Laws, never sothing that manifested in physical form.

And yet… here they were, sprouting out of a living seed like branches of a tree, each one visibly linked to a specific Concept he had honed.

The image was surreal, sacred even—but also utterly confusing. How could sothing so immaterial beco so real?

His mind raced to find a possible explanation. And then a mory stirred—the physique ability. That strange, cryptic ability he had awakened earlier during his brief communion with the chaos energy in the Primal Hall. He hadn’t understood it at the ti, hadn’t even had the chance to explore it properly. But now…

“Is this the Chaos Tree?” Max whispered, realization slowly dawning. “The ability I got from my physique just now…?”

It was the only possibility that made sense. Nothing else could explain what he was seeing.

The idea that his physique could grow a tree from the chaos within him—one that materialized his conceptual insights and nurtured them like branches feeding from a universal trunk—it was insane. And yet… it was happening.

Max’s gaze deepened as he looked at the growing seed, watching as the concepts pulsed in perfect harmony, feeding from sothing older than understanding. It was terrifying. It was beautiful.

[Unholy Trinity Physique]

– Description: [A physique said to hold all energies in existence. u7$gh#, h$3…]

– Abilities Unlocked: [Chaos Tree.]

Max’s brows furrowed slightly as he reopened the notification panel, scrolling back through the text he had barely glanced at earlier in the rush of events.

There, beneath the section detailing his newly awakened physique, he noticed sothing odd—after the initial, simple description, there were faint lines of text, fragnted, incomplete, or written in an unfamiliar sequence of characters that didn’t resemble any known language or system prompt he had ever seen.

They weren’t gibberish, but rather… encoded, ancient, or simply beyond his current level of understanding.

“What does this an?” Max murmured inwardly, eyes narrowing in contemplation. He tilted his head in thought. “There’s more to this physique than just being able to hold all energies… isn’t there?”

He understood the first part. that had described his body’s unique capability to interact with all forms of energy—whether mana, essence, soul force, infernal energy, or more.

But it was becoming painfully obvious that that explanation had only scratched the surface.

He turned his attention back to the ability listed under the physique, focusing in on it with intent.

[Chaos Tree]

– Description: [ – ]

“Of course it would be blank,” Max sighed, dragging a hand through his hair as he closed the interface again.

Whatever the Chaos Tree truly was, the system clearly deed him not ready to know. But that didn’t stop him from trying to feel it.

His awareness dived back into his inner world, and there it was again—that embryonic seed, now unmistakably growing. The four branches he had first seen were longer now, stretching slightly further from the core, their glow more vivid, their concepts pulsing stronger.

“It’s still growing,” Max whispered, awe flickering in his eyes as he watched it, as if witnessing the birth of a cosmic phenonon. Then he glanced at the totem stone on the altar before him—the ancient, crude Chaos Totem, quiet and tiless, yet clearly resonating with sothing inside him.

A thought crossed his mind. “Maybe… if I ditate here for a few monts, the seed will grow faster. Maybe I can push it just a little further before my ti runs out.”

He didn’t hesitate.

With that thought solidified in his heart, Max stepped toward the altar, settled down in a cross-legged position, and closed his eyes. The fog in the chamber swirled softly around him, as silent and weightless as before, but now it felt like part of him—like he was no longer breathing air, but ancient energy.

He knew he didn’t have much ti left in the selection phase, but whatever minutes remained, he would use them all. Not a second would go to waste. Not when sothing this important, this mysterious, was taking shape inside him.

And so, Max continued his ditation, undisturbed, unwavering. Seated before the ancient altar within the fog-shrouded Primal Hall, he let his thoughts quiet as he focused entirely on the Chaos Seed growing deep within his soul sea.

His breathing slowed, his body still, while his inner vision remained locked on the embryonic seed slowly evolving inside him.

Minute by minute, ti slipped away, yet every second was aningful.

The four branches sprouting from the seed—each representing a Concept he had grasped—began to change. They no longer looked like simple offshoots of energy. The curves beca more defined, the energy more refined.

The branches thickened, their texture transforming into sothing both tangible and divine, until they began to resemble the beginnings of a true plant—delicate but undeniably alive.

Then sothing new occurred.

From the heart of the seed, a stem began to grow—a thick, pulsing line of chaotic life force that pushed upward like an anchor to the heavens.

It stretched slowly but powerfully, becoming the central trunk from which all four branches diverged. It wasn’t just structure—it was order born from chaos, the unifying core around which his understanding of the elents and laws began to orbit.

The branches no longer floated independently; they were bound together, nurtured by the sa source, growing in the sa direction—upward, toward sothing far beyond.

But even then, the transformation wasn’t over.

As if guided by the universe’s own breath, each branch began to bloom—one after another, slowly, deliberately. A single leaf erged at the end of each concept-bearing branch.

They were small at first, delicate, but as they unfolded, Max felt a shiver crawl across his soul. Each leaf was completely different in shape, hue, and aura.

The one on the Sword branch was thin and silver-edged, like a blade forged by the world itself.

The Space leaf bent light around it, seeming to flicker in and out of reality.

The Fla leaf blazed softly, its veins glowing with red-gold threads like flowing lava, while the Lightning leaf sparked faintly, its jagged form crackling with a deep, untad energy.

They were unlike anything Max had ever seen—pure, raw, and incomprehensibly ancient.

And within each leaf, he felt it—sothing stir inside him, sothing that made his blood run cold and hot at the sa ti.

“These leaves…” Max whispered internally, his eyes widening within his mind’s eye. “Are they… the source laws? The original ones? From the ti of the Primal Chaos Era?” The very idea sounded absurd—unreachable, unfathomable—but the feeling they gave him… It was like standing in the presence of a forgotten god. Majestic, boundless, and eternal.

Even the chaos stone on the altar before him, carved in an age lost to ti, didn’t make him feel like this. That ancient totem had radiated mystery and reverence, yes—but these leaves pulsed with truth. Pure, unfiltered truth of Laws themselves, so profound that it made the rest of the world feel dull in comparison.

Max didn’t understand what this ant yet, but deep down, he knew. This was no longer just about concepts. No longer about comprehension.

The Chaos Tree growing within him wasn’t just evolving—it was awakening a path no one had ever walked before. A path born not from understanding parts of the universe, but from holding its origin within.
