Chapter 611: A Heaven Grade genius?

Max’s body now burned with a black flas as his all three Fla Inheritance Power stirred within him. He didn’t let them fully explode, but let a thin layer of its energy coat his sword, enhancing the destructive nature of the attack that was building.

The hall trembled faintly.

Then Max moved.

He stepped forward and swung his sword—not with anger, not with desperation—but with calm, absolute certainty. The combined power of his four concepts surged forward like a tidal wave, aid straight at the cube. The sword slash wasn’t flashy, but it held a terrifying sense of finality—as if nothing in its path could remain whole.

The cube shook violently as the slash vanished into it. The entire room went silent.

Then golden light burst from the cube’s surface, numbers flickering into existence, shining like stars—

9999

The silence that followed was deafening.

Everyone just stood there, frozen. Aria blinked slowly, the first to regain her composure, but even she said nothing. Elias looked like he had swallowed a stone, his lips pressed into a tight line. The two commanders exchanged looks, unsure whether they were seeing things.

“9999… What is that absurd number!” Elias finally muttered, his voice strained with disbelief, unable to look away from the glowing number etched in gold on the black cube. His mind reeled.

All of them—he, Aria, the two commanders—had scored in the range of four to six thousand, even at their best. Yet Max, a re Seeker Rank youth, had just shattered their understanding of power with a such a high score.

His eyes twitched. His fists clenched.

And then ca the final blow to his pride—the boy in the black and gold coat with the strange chanical hat chuckled lightly, like he’d just witnessed sothing rare and amusing.

“That… that’s a new record,” the boy said, his voice calm yet carrying a strange excitent. “What’s even more special is that 9999 is the highest score possible. It ans his strength has actually surpassed the cube’s evaluation.”

Those words hit Elias like a lightning bolt. Surpassed the cube’s evaluation? His heart skipped. This wasn’t just talent—it was monstrous. Elias felt like the world had gone crazy.

First, a kid from the Lower Domain displaying four concepts. Now, he was doing things even the evaluation system couldn’t properly asure? Everything he believed about strength, bloodlines, and genius was slowly starting to crack, and the person responsible stood there calmly, as if none of this mattered to him.

‘His strength might be at the level of a 3-star genius or a Heaven Grade genius?,’ Aria thought to herself, her expression turning grim with realization.

In the vast and competitive world of the Middle Domain, all geniuses were asured on a strict hierarchy—four distinct grades that determined a cultivator’s potential and standing.

The first level, the 1-star geniuses, were the most common. With enough talent and resources, almost anyone from a major family or force could be nurtured into a 1-star genius. They were the majority—respected but not extraordinary. Aria and Elias were considered 1-star geniuses themselves, a rank they had earned through bloodline, training, and inherited techniques.

Then ca the more prestigious 2-star geniuses—rare individuals whose talent burned brighter. They stood a tier above and were treated as future pillars of their respective forces. Every large force or empire had a few of them, and each 2-star genius was leagues ahead of any 1-star

But the real monsters… the truly terrifying ones, were the 3-star geniuses. They were few, scattered, and revered like legends. The gap between a 2-star and a 3-star was imnse—like comparing a mountain to a hill. It was said that ten 2-star geniuses together still wouldn’t be able to take down a single 3-star genius at full strength.

Their comprehension, battle sense, and affinity with energy and concepts were so high that they were seen as beings born for the peak.

Lastly, above all others, stood the chosen ones of this era—the legendary geniuses known as Heaven Grade geniuses. They were not rely talented or gifted. They were born anomalies, defying common sense, cultivation logic, and even fate itself.

If 3-star geniuses were the pinnacle of what most forces and families could nurture, then Heaven Grade geniuses were beyond mortal reach—beings who could ascend from obscurity and shake the entire foundation of the Middle Domain.

Their existence was incredibly rare. In all the vast territories of the Middle Domain, across the hundreds of forces and countless families, there were perhaps less than 20 who could truly be considered Heaven Grade.

Their rise was like that of a blazing cot, unstoppable and awe-inspiring. Legends often whispered of Heaven Grade geniuses facing entire armies alone, crossing into realms that should’ve been impossible for their age, or wielding abilities that even Mythic Rank and Divine Rank masters couldn’t fully comprehend.

They were the true monarchs of their generation. Every appearance of a Heaven Grade genius would cause a storm of blood and fire in the world, for either they would dominate, or countless powers would unite to crush them before they could rise too high.

They were the strongest of the strong, the peak of what any genius could dream to beco. And as Aria glanced once more at Max, who had just shattered the cube’s scoring system with a perfect 9999, doubt began to creep into her heart—not doubt of his strength, but a terrifying suspicion: Was she standing in the presence of a Heaven Grade genius in the making?

Max didn’t respond. He simply exhaled and stepped back, his heartbeat steady, his face calm. But inside, he felt it—an overwhelming surge of anticipation.

He had gambled everything on this one strike.

And he had won.

A faint hum echoed through the hall as the black cube responded to Max’s overwhelming attack. The golden numbers 9999 still glowed bright on its surface, causing the room to fall into an eerie silence.

Everyone—Aria, Elias, Commander Shen, Commander Leone—stood frozen, their expressions torn between disbelief and confusion. None of them could comprehend how a re level 8 Seeker Rank could unleash such a terrifying attack, one that surpassed even Aria’s, the supposed strongest among them. In fact forget about surpassing her, he left her in the dust.

And then it happened.

The cube opened with a hiss, and instead of a simple red orb like the others, a crimson orb encased in golden rings—its core pulsing with rhythmic energy slowly floated out.

The air around it twisted, as if reality itself bent slightly under its presence. The pressure radiating from it was imnse, far beyond the previous orbs. Even the two commanders instinctively took a step back.

“That’s… not just energy,” Aria muttered under her breath, her voice laced with surprise. “That’s—purified origin energy.” Origin energy was even more purified form of energy.

Elias’s face darkened. His fists clenched so tightly that faint cracking sounds ca from his knuckles.

Max stepped forward calmly and extended his hand. The orb floated into his palm, its warmth pulsing like a living heart. The mont it touched his skin, he felt it—raw, potent energy, so dense and concentrated it made the previous orbs feel like drops in an ocean.

His eyes glead. “Is this the thing that can increase one’s strength?” He muttered out loud feeling the dense cluster of energy on the orb.

[Energy Orb]

–Rank: [Legendary]

–Description: [A condensed form of pure energy compressed in the form of an orb. It can be used for many things.]

‘Condense form of pure energy.’ Max beca interested.
