Chapter 627: Tiless
Crack! Boom! Wham!
Each blow was like a cannon going off. Every clash sent sparks flying. The space around them twisted violently, cracking under the constant shockwaves of their collision.
Max growled, his fists moving like golden cots—one punch aid at the chest, another at the ribs, then a spinning kick with enough force to collapse a small mountain. The demonic being took it all without flinching, countering with brutal swipes, knee strikes, and clawed slashes that tried to tear through Max’s golden defense.
Flesh t flesh. Gold t black. Human t monster.
They didn’t speak. They didn’t think. In that mont, only fists mattered.
But as Max clashed again and again with the demonic being, sothing deeply unsettling began to gnaw at him—its attacks were getting stronger. Each punch, each strike, felt heavier than the last, more refined, more precise, as if the creature were awakening further with every passing second. And then—
Bang!
Another blow landed square in Max’s chest, and this ti the force behind it was overwhelming. His body flew like a missile, a golden blur streaking across the sky before crashing into the ocean below with a thunderous splash that sent waves roaring outward. Subrged beneath the churning sea, Max steadied his breathing, his mind racing.
‘Its strength is increasing at a rapid rate… maybe it wasn’t fully awakened before. Maybe it’s still evolving.’
There was no ti to hesitate. He exploded upward from the ocean, cutting through the air like a bolt of wrath. As he ascended, his body pulsed violently and then—purple lightning erupted, crackling across every inch of his skin, condensing into a full-body Lightning Manifestation Armor. His form was now cloaked in pure lightning, arcs dancing wildly around him, a living storm in human shape.
Just as he neared the demonic being in midair, Max vanished—teleporting with the power of space—and reappeared behind it, both fists clenched, muscles tensed, eyes glowing. He slamd both fists downward with the strength of a thunder god.
Boom!
The demonic being was launched like a teor, a trail of black blur spiraling as it was hurled toward the ocean. The impact caused the skies to rumble—but Max didn’t celebrate. His eyes narrowed.
‘No damage… not even a scratch. That entire attack only pushed it back.’
Gritting his teeth, Max’s figure flickered again. This ti, he appeared at the edge of the sea, right in the path of the falling creature. In a single motion, he drew his sword, its edge glowing with a black-and-silver sheen, as the Concept of Severing Sword surged through it like a raging flood.
“Void Severance Slash!”
The space around the blade tore open as Max swung it with everything he had, the sword slicing forward with the terrifying sharpness that could sever even laws. But the mont the sword struck—
Clang!
It felt like he had struck a divine mountain—unyielding and immovable. Sparks burst forth violently as the blade collided with the creature’s chest… but it left no wound, no gash—nothing. Only the impact of the force sent the demonic being spiraling once more into the sea below.
Max’s expression darkened.
‘Even sword… had no effect?!’
He was stunned—truly stunned. If both raw physical might and concept-based attacks couldn’t so much as scratch this thing, then how could he possibly destroy it? How could he even win? And the worst part—it was still growing stronger, second by terrifying second.
Before he could form another thought, the ocean below exploded—a jet of black water shot skyward, and the demonic being tore through it like a cannonball, launching itself toward Max. But this ti—its speed was unreal.
“It’s gotten faster—by at least tenfold…!” Max’s thoughts struggled to keep up even with the help of his Three Dinsional Body, which barely tracked the incoming blur of black and red.
Clang!
Max’s sword t the creature’s fist mid-air, the clash sending out a shockwave so dense it bent the clouds and rippled through the atmosphere like a storm. Sparks exploded between them as energy bled into the skies. Max gritted his teeth as he slid back several ters through the air, his feet carving lines in the wind.
“Then let’s see how you handle everything I’ve got!”
Max roared—and his aura erupted.
Black glowing scales surged across his skin as the Dragon Scales Transformation activated in full, wrapping his body in invincible armor. Golden radiance burst from within the scales, announcing the ignition of all 600 Draconic Essences. His muscles pulsed with divine fury, every movent now carrying the weight of a mountain. And all the while, purple lightning danced madly across his figure, amplified through his Lightning Manifestation Armor, completing the storm that was his awakened form.
He moved.
So did the demon.
Their bodies vanished and reappeared—two beings dueling at the edge of reality. Fist t claw. Blade t bone. Every strike detonated like a teor crashing into the planet. Their movents were too fast, too wild—only the Master Rank experts in the sky could faintly perceive flashes of their battle, their jaws clenched, hearts racing.
Max’s sword slashed out—imbued with the Concept of Severing Sword, each swing aiming not to cut flesh, but to slice apart existence. He struck high—deflected. He swept low—parried. He teleported behind the demon and swung with all the severing might he could pour in—
Bang!
But the demon countered with a spinning elbow, knocking Max backward mid-air. Still, Max twisted, rebounded, and roared as his lightning-covered fist slamd into the demon’s ribs with the strength of thunder itself.
But no blood spilled.
Only more power surged from the demon in response.
Max’s golden scales cracked slightly. Even with everything… it’s still just a draw?
The two collided again.
And again.
And again.
Clash after clash.
The sky trembled, the sea churned, the mountains in the distance cracked from the pressure. But neither could overwhelm the other. Max’s every strike carried limitless fury, backed by the peak of what the Lower Domain had ever seen… and yet, the demonic being kept up, as if his body was adapting, feeding on the battle, evolving every second.
Max gritted his teeth, sweat streaking across his brow, lightning howling around his body.
“If it keeps growing… then even a draw will beco a defeat soon.”
He understood it clearly now—this was a race against ti, and he was on the losing end. The longer the battle dragged on, the stronger the demonic being beca. It wasn’t just its strength or speed; it was adapting, learning. After the first few surprise assaults using his Concept of Space, Max had been able to land solid hits by teleporting at odd angles, slashing from behind, above, and below.
But now—now the creature was ready. Every ti Max flickered through space, the demon responded in a new way—dodging, parrying, or countering with uncanny precision. It was as if it had begun to anticipate his moves, rendering Max’s space manipulation less and less effective.
“I’m being cornered…” Max’s gaze sharpened with resolution. His mind surged with one thought—use everything.
“Emperor’s Domain!” he roared, unleashing his inheritance.
Instantly, the sky above trembled as a massive black flaming crown manifested in the air, casting a towering shadow across the entire battlefield. Though smaller than the citadel in size, it radiated authority so vast that even space itself seed to kneel under its weight. The temperature dropped, not with cold, but with the oppressive heat of royal will. Ti slowed for an instant—as if the entire world paused to acknowledge the awakening of an emperor.
Simultaneously, a smaller crown, burning with the sa black flas, ford above Max’s head, flickering with terrifying majesty. His eyes darkened into pools of abyssal command. The air around him began to warp, bend, obey.
Within this Emperor’s Domain, Max was the ruler—absolute, invincible, sovereign.
