Max casually made his way out of his cube when he saw the ugly faces of the Blade Family. "What happened? Are you guys alright?" he asked, his tone laced with concern.
This caused the mbers of the Blade Family to grit their teeth in anger. They felt a rage so intense that they wished they could just beat up Max right here and now.
Only Allen and Elena remained calm.
Allen stared at Max, his eyes emotionless. "You are good, but you shouldn't have tortured Killian like that."
Max shrugged and glanced at Allen with a face full of hatred. "What about you? You think you can just co and kill anyti you want? You think you can take away from the guild I joined, just so I can join yours, only for you to kill again?"
His expression turned dark. "At least what I did is way better than what you guys did."
Allen stared deeply at Max and said calmly, "Everything has its consequences."
With those words, he turned and left. Elena led the other family mbers to follow Allen as they disappeared from Max's sight.
"You win," Alice said, walking up to Max.
Max smiled proudly. "Of course I would win. It was a given."
Nash and Erica arrived before Max, their expressions full of smiles.
"I hadn't expected you to have such strength," Nash said, smiling, but there was a sarcastic tone in his voice. "But you chose the wrong person to antagonize."
"The Blades are the most ruthless among the four families," Erica said, her expression becoming serious. "And if they have their eyes on you, you'd better spend your days hiding in the Phoenix Order guild. Otherwise, you might not know when you'll drop dead."
Max sighed and shrugged. "It isn't my fault. First, they ca to kill , and then they wanted to recruit into their family. Their actions always ant harm for , so I had no choice but to retaliate."
Nash smiled at Max's words, his expression turning sinister. "But what you did to Killian was satisfying. I never liked how he acted so good despite being a Blade. But after what you did, I'm very satisfied."
Max glanced at him, his eyes widening, but before he could speak, Nash said, "Ah, but this won't change what my guild wants from you, so don't bother with it."
"Damn, and here I thought you'd let get away with it," Max shook his head in mock pity.
"Anyway, take care of yourself," Erica said, smiling ambiguously. "I'll see you soon, the new superstar of the East Region." She departed after saying that.
Nash gestured with two fingers at his eyes, then at Max, before following Erica and disappearing with her.
Max chuckled as he watched them leave. "I guess the Lionheart Guild isn't that bad."
Alice nodded. "They're a little arrogant, but they're all nice people. But the real problems are the Erald Guild, which is like an enemy rival of our guild, and the Black Lotus Guild, the most mysterious and feared guild out of the five top guilds."
Max nodded and asked, "What about the Knights of Valor? Are they any good?"
Alice said, "They are neutral most of the ti, but they have ties with the Stellar rchant Alliance."
"Stellar rchant Alliance? What power is that?" Max asked, hearing the na for the first ti.
Alice looked at Max and answered, "There are two neutral factions in the Valora Continent: the Stellar rchant Alliance and Rune Tower. Basically, anything trade-related between the four regions is handled by the Stellar rchant Alliance, while Rune Tower is responsible for all the rune supplies to the four regions."
Max pondered as he digested the new information he had learned. "The four regions you an are the East Region, where we live, the West Region, the North Region, and lastly, the South Region, right?"
Alice nodded. "Valora Continent is one big continent, but it has been divided into four regions for ages."
Max felt amazed as he understood more about this world, but then another question arose in his mind. "Where is the Lost Continent, then?"
Alice shook her head. "I don't know about that, but I heard that the Lost Continent is another big continent in our world. And you know what the most mysterious thing about the Lost Continent is?"
Max beca incredibly curious and asked eagerly, "What is it?"
Alice took a deep breath, increasing the suspense, and said, "I'll tell you outside." With those words, she quickly headed toward her own cube.
"…"
"Damn, is she taking revenge?" Max muttered as he glared at the crowd around him before he entered his cube and disappeared from the Battle Realm.

Outside the Battle Realm, Max was welcod by an enormous crowd from the Phoenix Order guild.
"Congratulations, Max! You're now the number one ranked genius in the Novice Rankings of the Battle Realm!"
"Max, co eat with our group!"
"No, Max will have dinner with our Hamr Faction departnt!"
"Are you kidding? He will visit the Blade Division departnt!"
The mbers of the guild invited Max to visit their groups, departnts, and whatnot, making Max scratch his head. He hadn't expected that defeating Killian would raise his popularity to a whole new level.
"Let's go." Alice ca quickly, holding his hand and dragging him out of the crowd.

In one of the quiet restaurants in Phoenix City, Alice and Max sighed in relief that no crowd followed them to this place.
"Becoming too popular is no good," Max said, complaining to himself as he turned to Alice. "Tell , what were you talking about regarding the Lost Continent?"
Alice smiled as if she had gotten her revenge. Seeing that expression, Max made sure to have the upper hand again in the future.
"Miss Alice, kindly tell this poor soul what he wants to know," Max said, gritting his teeth.
Alice smiled proudly and said, "Since you're so sincere, I might as well tell you." Her expression turned mysterious as she continued, "I heard there are other races besides humans living in the Lost Continent, like demons, elves, and so on."
"Other races… Demons, elves?" Max's eyes widened in disbelief. The thought of other races besides humans had never crossed his mind. Now, knowing that other races exist out there, Max beca incredibly curious about them and this world.
But then his expression turned slightly solemn. "I believe the other races aren't on good terms with humans, so why are we sending geniuses to the Lost Continent every three years?"
Alice shrugged. "I don't know about that, but I know that the Valora Continent values the Lost Continent highly. Whatever is there, they're willing to take the risks and send geniuses to explore it."
Max muttered, "I see."
'I also have to go to the Lost Continent, so I'll find out more about it soon,' he thought, realizing that the ssage he had received about his sister could be false. He didn't have any more leads, so he'd have to be satisfied with what he had for now.
"What are your plans now?" Alice asked Max.
Max pondered for a mont and replied, "With all the cores Master Sophia promised after I defeated Killian, I'll use them to try to level up to Apprentice Rank."
Alice raised her brows, her expression becoming serious. "Do you know how to level up to Apprentice Rank?"
"Isn't it just by absorbing cores?" Max asked.
Alice shook her head and explained, "When you reach level 10, cores beco ineffective for you. At that point, you'll have to give ti to control all your mana inside your body to form a core. The mont you form that core, you'll enter the Apprentice Rank."

Alice chuckled. "There is, but I can't give it to you. Ask Big Sis Sophia about it."
Max nodded. "I guess I'll be training for a long ti, then."
"But make sure to level up before The Guild Summit three months from now," Alice warned. "Only Apprentice Rank mbers can participate in that summit."
Max said with determination, "I will do my best."
