Now reading: Chapter 1004 - 1004 1005 Restrictions from Divine Beast Creator, a Eastern novel by Salted fish on a fishing rod.

1004: Chapter 1005: Restrictions 1004: Chapter 1005: Restrictions “Isn’t that sothing you can answer?

Besides, if you really want to study this new evolutionary form, it’s better to ask for the specifics first.”

Cen Chudie glanced at Feng Yuan as she spoke.

It was as if she rembered sothing and continued,

“There’s no helping it—who would have thought the teorite research would cause such chaos.

A flood of academic debates all turned out to be for nothing.

No one expected that the Divine Beasts knew so much, and as a result, a bunch of research beca obsolete.”

Hearing Cen Chudie’s words, Qi Chen couldn’t help but look at Feng Yuan.

Wasn’t this guy the cause of that ss?

Seeing Qi Chen looking his way, Feng Yuan said sowhat aggrievedly,

“What does this have to do with ?

Their research was from how long ago?

Even if I hadn’t spoken up that ti, would their ideas have beco the truth?”

Cen Chudie chuckled and replied,

“How could that be possible?

If they’re unwilling to face reality, how can they qualify to seek the truth?

It’s just that the impact of teorite research was too great.

Most of the speculation and studies were invalidated, and many associated research projects were halted.

But after this chaos subsides, it will likely usher in a golden age.”

“Why?”

Qi Chen looked at Feng Yuan, puzzled.

He couldn’t understand how there could be a golden age after such a disaster.

Feng Yuan shrugged and explained,

“It’s quite normal.

Previous research mingled incorrect theories with ongoing disputes, lacking a correct direction.

Too much effort was actually wasted on aningless debates, which in turn affected other research.

After all, there are only so many people.

“Now that half the workforce is freed up and there’s a new, correct research direction, there’s much more to study.

Whether it’s utilizing teorites or conducting detailed analyses of their origins, or exploring other avenues, at least so things don’t need to be argued over anymore.”

“Indeed, they’ve argued over origins and such for too long—it’s ti to end that.

Research into Spirit Beasts, on the other hand, isn’t as chaotic as theirs.

But, if you could point out a new research direction, that might not be so bad—”

Cen Chudie laughed as she finished her thought, rolling her eyes as Feng Yuan said speechlessly,

“How could that be possible?

Aside from certain taboos, isn’t everything in Spirit Beast research already covered?

What else can I possibly ss up…

I an, contribute?”

“‘ss up’?”

Qi Chen looked at Feng Yuan skeptically, only to see him grinning without answering.

Rubbing his temples, Qi Chen felt a headache coming on.

Surely that guy had done it all on purpose before, otherwise why would it be like this?

Cen Chudie glanced at Feng Yuan and comnted,

“Other fields of research are also welco to your ‘contributions’, even if it turns out like the teorite research.

Though many studies proved fruitless, but…

what use is a wrong path followed to its end?”

“It’s not that exaggerated.

Maybe the research will veer off into so strange territory along the way?”

Scratching his head, Feng Yuan said sowhat sheepishly.

Agunas swished its tail and added,

“The conclusions you humans have drawn in Spirit Beast research are not much different from what we know.

Also, hasn’t that field always been helping you?”

Spirit Beast research covered a lot, from evolution to ecology.

The Divine Beasts naturally helped within their capacity, as they couldn’t possibly take care of all Spirit Beasts.

It was better to let humans research things related to them.

“Let’s go.

Oh, right, Little Green Snake, do you need to prepare anything?”

Feng Yuan suddenly rembered to ask Little Green Snake.

If the creature didn’t use potions or the like, there could be problems.

After all, the potential of Little Green Snake’s species was evident.

Even with selective evolution—like the Illusory Sound Parrot’s thod—only the elite of the species could evolve into Illusory Sound Parrots.

The increase in potential after evolution wasn’t much; it just provided a more diverse set of tactics in combat.

Little Green Snake nodded its head, hissing sothing, while Agunas translated beside it,

“Potions are needed, Big Cat has the materials, but we may need your help to formulate it.”

It was different from the experints before, where it simply consud substances to analyze their effects and impact, but now it needed potions, which Big Cat couldn’t assist with, as it did not possess the knowledge of potion crafting.

Feng Yuan said with a smile,

“That’s fine, but you’d better specify what exactly you want to achieve, so I can see if I can work out a viable formulation thod.”

He was well aware that Little Green Snake probably didn’t even know how to formulate the required potion since neither it nor Big Cat understood potionology.

“Work out a viable potion formulation thod?”

Agunas looked at Feng Yuan with so confusion.

It hadn’t found it strange before, but now it seed as if human intervention was needed for the evolution process.

Although it didn’t particularly mind, it found it a bit odd.

“Relying solely on the effects of Spiritual dicine and Materials for evolution is unlikely to achieve the desired effect.

Not to ntion, humans have devised nurous special evolution pathways.”

Agunas stared at Feng Yuan, wondering if there was any dissatisfaction here.

Sensing Feng Yuan’s gaze, Agunas rolled its eyes and said,

“I’m not that narrow-minded, it just feels odd.

If that’s the case, it won’t be easy for those Little Green Snakes to evolve to this stage.”

Off to the side, Cen Chudie voiced her confusion,

“How co I feel that according to you all, Little Green Snake seems to have found a new evolutionary pathway?

And that it’s even stronger than the existing ones?”

After all, this was an evolution thod that required human intervention.

Although there were Spirit Beasts skilled in potion-making, they were few, and those Spirit Beasts didn’t have much interaction with the Little Green Snake clan, making it unlikely they would help them.

Moreover, the humans hadn’t heard of any particular evolution thod for the Little Green Snake clan requiring human assistance.

Especially since, from the sound of their discussion, it seed to be a stronger evolutionary pathway than the known ones, which were not familiar to humans.

“Pretty much, it might evolve into a Space-attribute Spirit Beast, but I’m not entirely clear on the specifics.”

Feng Yuan said, looking toward Little Green Snake.

He truly did not know what the new evolutionary form of Little Green Snake would be, only guessing it was related to the space series based on previous materials and its actions.

Nevertheless, if that were true, it seed quite promising since Space-attribute Spirit Beasts were rare.

If Little Green Snake had the potential to evolve into such a creature, undoubtedly many Beastmasters, especially ordinary people, would desire to make it their Beast Tar’s partner.

Of course, the specifics needed to be further clarified, as Feng Yuan was not particularly certain of them.

Hearing Feng Yuan’s words, Cen Chudie looked at him in surprise and asked,

“Are you serious?

A Space-attribute Spirit Beast?

If that’s the case…

could I perhaps…”

Seeing Cen Chudie’s shy deanor, Feng Yuan knew what she was thinking and said with a smile,

“Of course, but we would still need to consult its opinion on the matter, as it’s the one who discovered this evolutionary path.

Whether to make it public or not is for it to decide.”

Feng Yuan guessed that the snake would most likely agree, perhaps even hope for widespread promotion, as the Little Green Snake clan didn’t have an advantage in the wild and were a less common choice for human Beastmasters as partners.

With the gradual increase in wild Spirit Beasts, all wild Spirit Beasts had to face a problem: the scarcity of natural resources.

They could coexist peacefully in one area, but as the number of Spirit Beasts exceeded the carrying capacity of the region, conflicts would inevitably increase.

Although this was related to the concentration of Spirit Beasts in certain areas, no one really wanted to move far away, and the population numbers of Spirit Beasts were quite special.

Ordinary Spirit Beasts might not be aware, but Divine Beasts understood that each type had a maximum population cap, beyond which their reproduction rate would drastically decrease.

Of course, even though they knew this, no Divine Beast opposed or sought to overco it since Spirit Beasts generally had long lifespans.

If their numbers were also unlimited, they might occupy almost all regions after a period, which would certainly lead to severe conflicts over resources.

The population of Little Green Snakes had always hovered close to the limit, and with their scattered distribution, it wasn’t easy to succeed in resource competition.

Thus, relying on humans could be a viable choice.
