1106: Chapter 1107: Encountering the Black Sphere Again 1106: Chapter 1107: Encountering the Black Sphere Again “This is…”
Agunas was sowhat surprised looking at the surroundings, while Gitalien stroked his chin, surveying the environnt.
They should be within the Data Domain at this mont, surrounded by nurous square glowing grids and those floating buildings in the air, although that wouldn’t be entirely accurate.
Perhaps in the Data Domain, there isn’t the concept of heaven and earth?
Yet, those floating buildings, familiar to anyone who knows Maomu City, were evidently the fragnted structures of Maomu City itself—composed of one or two high-rise buildings with a small section of road debris or pieces of green areas, making up the scattered architectural fragnts around.
It was as though the once-whole Maomu City had been shattered; the question was, by whom?
Although the Data Domain contains almost all the data of the real world, it wouldn’t naturally form the exact environnts and buildings of reality, and it’s unlikely that the Special Duty Team would build such things here—after all, there would be no practical use in doing so.
Black tendrils stretched out from the depths below, constantly growing and eagerly climbing towards the floating architectural debris above, while beneath everyone’s feet, the building fragnts were already covered in those black tendrils.
Every now and then, streams of light in various colors flowed along them from below.
“The Data Domain, it’s just that sothing about this environnt isn’t quite right.”
Feng Yuan, holding the dark Ancient Book, spoke with an indescribable look as he observed the surroundings.
Although it was evident they were within the bounds of the Data Domain, many things did not match up.
Especially those shattered buildings; they seed less like models composed of real-world data and more like projections of the actual world.
“Xiao Ji, attack in that direction!”
Suddenly, as if Feng Yuan had discovered sothing, several small shields appeared, circling around him.
He casually grabbed a shield and, while drawing the black Longbow, instructed Xiao Ji.
Upon receiving Feng Yuan’s command, though sowhat puzzled, Xiao Ji flapped her wings and took flight.
In midair, she beat her wings continuously as a pale blue fla vortex slowly took form.
Drawing the bow to aim at a dark shadow in the distance, Feng Yuan released the string, and an arrow ablaze with pale blue flas shot towards the dark shadow.
Right on cue, the fla vortex, fully ford, surged after the arrow towards the dark shadow.
Watching the spreading pale blue flas, Feng Yuan drew his bow again and said,
“Don’t just stand there watching; we’d better deal with that thing before it can establish its Domain, or else we’ll have to invoke the Crimson Judgent to eliminate it.”
Hearing Feng Yuan’s orders, Agunas carrying his book, charged forward, recognizing what it was—those were the sa giant black spheres from the Origin Area before.
Although unsure if their current Ultimate Moves were sufficient to handle the entity, letting Xiao Ji use the Crimson Judgent for Feng Yuan to exploit an opening didn’t seem ideal.
Such action would damage the Data Domain, which was unavoidable before given that without it, they might not have been able to deal with the entity.
Now, however, things seed slightly different.
With Gitalien and Delong Tower on their way, perhaps their Liberation Power could also eradicate it?
“What is that?”
Gitalien asked in confusion, sensing that the far-off black sphere didn’t seem to be any form of life.
Why the urgency?
Guo Huai observed the surrounding situation as he explained,
“I’m not sure what it is, but before…”
After listening to Guo Huai’s description, Gitalien looked sowhat distressed.
Sheathing its weapons, Gitalien shifted back to its original form.
Though using Liberation Power might handle those entities, such exertion was taxing, and according to Guo Huai’s description, the Liberation Power of all Divine Beasts might not be up for the task.
Wasn’t this just adding to its workload?
Gitalien thought bitterly.
However, upon engaging, Gitalien noticed sothing amiss.
At least Agunas was not employing Liberation Power or the Golden To Page, yet was able to inflict damage on the gigantic black sphere.
Moreover, despite being wrapped in enormous black bands, the sphere did not seem to exhibit any special abilities—it was just sitting there taking hits.
If Feng Yuan hadn’t refuted, Gitalien almost doubted whether Guo Huai was lying.
“It seems a bit different; this thing hardly has any combat ability.”
With one point of Veronia’s parasol, several golden Energy Spheres appeared around her.
Golden beams blasted out from the spheres, striking the enormous black sphere and creating a huge breach.
However, they couldn’t understand why the damaged parts could recover so quickly.
However, it had only a strong recovery capability.
Neither the black energy ribbons charged with cleansing attacks nor any other counterattacks had ever been deployed.
It was simply on the receiving end of the beating.
“Fruit?”
After transforming back, Delong Tower flew over and seed to notice sothing.
Narrowing his eyes, he sized up the huge black sphere and said, before Gitalien and the others could ask what the other was planning to do, a deep blue beam burst forth.
Only then did they notice that underneath the sphere, there were thick black branches made of darker tendrils, anchoring it in place.
As those branches were blasted apart by Delong Tower’s beam, the giant black sphere seed to gradually co to life.
The black energy ribbons tightly wrapped around the sphere slowly dispersed, and occasional black glints flashed through them.
Before Agunas could say anything, several black ribbons wrapped in black light lashed out towards Gitalien and the others.
But they were Divine Beasts, and such attacks couldn’t really harm them.
The black ribbons easily erased the spatial barrier set up by Gitalien, and their black light had already faded, soon to be destroyed by the following golden radiance, breaking into myriad small cubes and dissipating.
“It seems weaker than that one.
Is it not fully ford yet?”
Looking at the giant black sphere, Veronia spoke with an inexplicable tone.
After the branches were destroyed by Delong Tower, the sphere’s recovery ability appeared to have vanished.
Although it began to counter their attacks, to Gitalien and the others, any defense that wasn’t based on the concept of cleansing was insignificant.
Soon, the giant black sphere was completely annihilated by Gitalien and the others.
Then Gitalien flew back to where Feng Yuan was and asked,
“Where to next?”
“Wait a mont.”
Tossing aside the black longbow and allowing it to revert back into a small shield, Feng Yuan did not dispense with the power borrowed from Xiao Ji.
He took out an ancient lantern and shook it slightly, and cyan-blue cubes appeared out of nowhere to quickly form a small, wooden warship.
Guo Huai looked at Feng Yuan with so surprise and said,
“You actually chose this thing?”
He naturally guessed why Feng Yuan summoned a warship- after all, he and Feng Yuan…
no, that’s not right, he cannot fly.
As for the Spirit Beasts present, Pu Pu couldn’t carry him while flying, and regarding the Divine Beasts?
They needed to fight and were not suitable for carrying him.
Although there was no conceptualization of heaven and earth here, the concept of gravity still existed, but exactly how it would manifest was unknown.
“What do you an ‘choosing this thing’?”
Feng Yuan looked back at Guo Huai, sowhat speechless, not quite understanding what he ant.
Looking at the wooden warship, Guo Huai asked with confusion,
“According to your usual style, shouldn’t you be summoning sothing like a Star Sea Warship?
To actually make such a small…”
“It’s just for temporary movent.
Too big and it wouldn’t be practical; many areas would be inaccessible.
Alright, let’s go.”
Shaking his head, Feng Yuan put away the lantern and walked straight to the edge of the platform.
Just as Guo Huai thought Feng Yuan was going to fall, he was astonished to see Feng Yuan walking down along the black branches as if gravity had changed its direction there.
“What’s wrong?”
Noticing that Guo Huai hadn’t followed, Feng Yuan walked back with a puzzled look and after a mont of bewildernt, Guo Huai asked,
“If I walk straight over there, won’t I fall down?”
“Oh, that?
No, you won’t.
As long as it’s connected to those structures, their surface is considered a stable ground.
No matter how it rotates, you won’t fall off.”
Understanding Guo Huai’s concern, Feng Yuan explained with a bit of amusent; after all, this was the Data Domain, where so aspects of reality simply didn’t apply.
