Chapter 1276: Chapter 1277 Night Sky

“Didn’t you go to sleep?”

Noticing Feng Yuan getting up, Veronia, sipping her red wine, asked with so curiosity. She glanced at the night sky overhead, where the stars still twinkled and the moon had yet to be replaced by the morning sun. Moving quietly, Feng Yuan looked at Xiao Ji and whispered softly,

“You’re really not planning on sleeping?”

At this mont, Agunas was floating in the air with a closed book, seemingly resting. From Veronia’s arms, Belusir poked its head out and looked at Feng Yuan, saying,

“Did you wake up from the cold?”

Though it was sumr, soone like Feng Yuan, sleeping in the tent without any padding, catching a chill wasn’t too surprising. Feng Yuan yawned and replied,

“Pretty much.”

“Here, take this. Kong Qing and the others are already asleep.”

Veronia casually handed Feng Yuan a blanket and glanced at the pile of Big Cats huddled together nearby. She couldn’t fathom why they were squeezed so closely to one another in their sleep.

Taking the blanket Veronia handed to him, Feng Yuan awkwardly remarked,

“Hey, if I accidentally get it dirty…”

“It’s just a servant’s blanket; who cares.”

“Uh… alright then.”

Looking at the dark brown blanket, Feng Yuan scratched his head before turning back into his tent. Veronia glanced at his tent with interest and comnted,

“Honestly, if he just shifted into his dog form, wouldn’t this problem be solved? I really don’t get him.”

He had no problem taking his canine form to sleep when there was a bed around, yet now, he chose to remain in human form. Wagging her tail, Belusir remarked,

“Aren’t you the sa? Is the human form really that interesting?”

“Of course! Experiencing humanity in a human form allows you to feel sothing completely different. Unfortunately, most of the people back then… sigh. You could try it yourself, as long as you avoid looking into their fates. It’s quite an intriguing experience.”

“Is it truly so?”

Belusir still seed doubtful. Among the Divine Beasts, Veronia was the only one who preferred appearing in human form. As for Lorraine Tower and the others? While looking for Feng Yuan, they mostly stayed in human settlents. Given their full-sized forms, they’d probably conjure up all sorts of wild myths if they showed up too often.

This was why Agunas, being relatively smaller, didn’t utilize a human form to accompany Feng Yuan often, and Belusir, in its cat form, followed a similar pattern. Hence, it rarely used its human form either.

Najia glanced at Yang Hongzhi, who was sound asleep, and gently tucked the blanket around him. Yang Hongzhi’s previously curled-up posture relaxed, and he quickly fell back into a deep sleep. Looking toward Veronia outside, Najia silently slipped out of the tent. By then, most of the campers had already gone to sleep, and the remaining night owls didn’t dare make a ruckus, lest they provoke an attack from the others.

Waves rippled across a sea of flowers as the wind blew. Noticing Najia approaching, Veronia asked in surprise,

“You all… can’t sleep either?”

“Sothing like that. It’s been a while since I’ve been back here…”

“You’ve been here before?”

Looking at Najia in surprise, Veronia asked curiously,

“But I thought this wasn’t the area you lived in.”

Though Calien and Dantia were both in Oilia, they were quite far apart, even belonging to different kingdoms. Najia had seemingly resided in Calien all along. How had he been to Dantia?

“I only visited. After all, humans like to travel.”

Gazing at the flower fields, Najia looked toward the distant mountains. Indeed, Najia had been to Dantia before, but the visit had taken place so long ago that, beyond a few unchanging geographical features, there was little left of the past.

Yawning, Feng Yuan pushed the sleeping Xiao Ji off him and stretched. Waking with a start from Feng Yuan’s movents, Xiao Ji stood up in alarm, glancing around nervously before relaxing upon seeing Feng Yuan nearby. Picking up the blanket, Feng Yuan said to Xiao Ji,

“You, seriously—you’re such a restless sleeper. Let’s go now; pack up the tent quickly. We’ve got to get moving for the event~”

By then, many campers outside were already packing. Most of them were here for the Wind-Sending Festival, so naturally, sleeping in was out of the question. Najia returned to his tent to wake up Yang Hongzhi. anwhile, the Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts, resting on the Amu Tree’s canopy, were startled awake by the noise, curiously scanning their surroundings. Given Amu’s enlarged state and their position on the outskirts, the tourists’ Spirit Beasts seed unbothered by their presence.

Little Ice Cream zipped around excitedly, while Long Boduo snacked away on treats of unclear origin. Spotting Feng Yuan erging from his tent, Long Boduo asked,

“Want so food?”

“I’ll eat at the venue later. Have you already had enough?”

Noticing the pile of trash at Long Boduo’s feet, Feng Yuan chuckled helplessly. The guy probably got impatient waiting and stuffed himself in the anti.

“If you plan to eat later, you might face a crowd. Are you sure you don’t want to head over early?”

Veronia glanced at Feng Yuan and reminded him. Although the organizers likely had a plan in place, the sheer number of people was a reality. Who knew whether they’d be blocked from entering the venue if they didn’t hurry?

“No worries, I’m confident the organizers will have it under control. It’s not their first ti hosting, after all. Besides, if things don’t go as planned, there’s always a way.”

Grinning smugly, Feng Yuan didn’t seem concerned. With his ability to transform into a Little Husky, sneaking in wasn’t particularly difficult. And worst-case scenario, Agunas could always clear out a space. Noticing Feng Yuan’s mischievous gaze, Agunas flicked its tail and said,

“I’m not helping you scatter the crowd, so stop scheming.”

“Hehe~ Just a little favor~”

“You’re already late,” Belusir suddenly chid in.

Glancing at Belusir, Feng Yuan shook his head and smirked confidently,

“That’s not necessarily true. Fate isn’t set in stone~”

He knew Belusir was peering into fate to predict the outco, but it wasn’t always accurate—especially when it ca to him.

Since they were likely late already, Feng Yuan wasn’t in a hurry. Taking his ti packing up, he noticed Qi Chen and the others finishing up as well. Watching the now-emptied flower sea, Feng Yuan proposed,

“How about we grab a bite first?”

“Aren’t you eager to see the Wind-Sending Festival?”

“Hehe~ No rush, it’s not ti yet~”

Holding a pitch-black Ancient Book, Feng Yuan teased smugly. Agunas glanced at him but chose not to comnt. It didn’t matter much; Feng Yuan could do as he pleased.

“The Wind-Sending Festival of Quersan takes place at the end of July each year, during which the trade winds sweeping across Oilia and the Ilantus Archipelago pass through Quersan. Locals prepare ahead of the trade winds’ arrival, welcoming and bidding farewell to these annual winds while letting them carry their prayers away.”

“But honestly, isn’t it just wish-making? Without any Divine Beast involvent, what could possibly be special about it?”

Folding the pamphlet, Feng Yuan remarked dismissively. Even in a world of countless miracles, the total absence of Divine Beasts made it unlikely the annual wish-making had any efficacy.

“It’s just a simple expression, anyway. Who really places their hopes on sothing so unreliable?”

Glancing at Feng Yuan, Qi Chen retorted irritably. This kind of event was far from rare, and no one truly hoped for results. This guy was such a contradiction—excited by the activities, yet constantly nitpicking.

“A sky full of fluttering paper cranes does sound spectacular, though it requires special materials. I wonder if they’re still selling those now,” Dou Yanlan speculated, looking slightly worried. While the event didn’t feature elaborate performances, its highlight had always been the paper cranes, which soared with the wind. Each crane was folded from special paper, and it was unclear if any were still available for purchase.

“I already bought them.”

Long Boduo pulled out a stack of papers. While wandering around earlier, it had spotted the materials and even figured out how to fold them itself, though it didn’t see the need.

Taking the colorful paper Long Boduo handed over, Feng Yuan held it up and remarked,

“No wonder they can fly with the wind—it’s made primarily from Fuqiu Flowers.”

“This isn’t exactly a secret. Anyone familiar with Spiritual dicine and Materials can figure out the thod at a glance,” Agunas said with a glance. Materials like these, crafted by ordinary people, weren’t difficult for others—especially Divine Beasts or experts in Spiritual dicine—to reverse-engineer. Nonetheless, they served little purpose beyond their novelty. Papers that floated on the wind weren’t exactly a breakthrough innovation. And selling them to tourists? Why not just buy directly from the organizers? After all, selling privately could get you kicked out.
