Chapter 1304: Chapter 1305: Special Souvenirs

“I thought it would be an event with a heavy comrcial vibe, but turns out I was wrong.”

Inside the shopping center, Feng Yuan sighed. Not only did the organizer assist with the competition arrangents, but they also discussed so follow-up cultivation plans for the Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts. Although they only raised a single potted flower, their extensive participation in nurous events ant they understood the cultivation thods for these spirit beasts far better than others.

Qi Chen nodded in agreent as he looked at the list in his hand.

“Luckily, we ca at just the right ti; otherwise, we wouldn’t have had this opportunity.”

The list in his hand detailed the nutrition recipes suited for the Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts, which, while not particularly precious, were things no one would post online. After all, nobody knew if soone might use them to make a profit. The original creator of the recipe had intended to make the lives of potted spirit beasts better by sharing it for free.

However, after multiple incidents where people exploited the recipe by patenting it and using it for profit, a group of enthusiasts dedicated to potted spirit beasts intervened. They used technology to block the recipe from being uploaded to the internet and prohibited its patent registration.

Still, this approach inevitably limited the spread of the recipe. Feng Yuan couldn’t quite understand their reasoning, but as long as the creator didn’t object, no one could definitively say they were wrong.

“Pretty lucky, right? But really, there isn’t much unique stuff here. How about taking a few pots of flowers back and letting them take care of them?”

Surveying the shops in the shopping center, Feng Yuan spoke sowhat exasperatedly. Agunas glanced at him incredulously and said,

“You think Xiao Ji is capable of taking care of those flowers?”

Upon hearing Agunas’ comnt, Xiao Ji glared at him with dissatisfaction and chirped a few tis in protest. Agunas gave Xiao Ji a side-eye and retorted irritably,

“Taking care of flowers involves more than just watering them. And speaking of watering, I doubt you could handle even that, given your telekinesis isn’t strong enough.”

Xiao Ji froze in place, feeling wronged, and turned toward Feng Yuan with a pitiful look. Feng Yuan patted Xiao Ji’s head and consoled it as he helplessly said,

“Alright, I seem to have overlooked that problem. Though I suppose I can’t just give you guys desserts instead.”

“Root carvings aren’t exactly special either. Postcards? None of that feels quite right.”

As Feng Yuan wandered the shopping center, struggling to find sothing distinctive beyond the common goods available everywhere, he found it hard to settle for gifting food to Xiao Ji and the others. At that mont, Dou Yanlan noticed a nearby store and suggested,

“How about checking that out?”

“Flower amber? Wonder if it’s made using spirit beast techniques or handcrafted.”

Feng Yuan muttered as he looked at the store’s sign for Amber Flowers. Having struggled to find any suitable local specialty, he decided to head inside and check it out.

“Handcrafted amber creations? Sounds interesting. Should we give it a try? Xiao Ji, what kind of flowers do you like?”

Inside the store, they saw staff guiding custors as they filled molds with prepared viscous liquids. Feng Yuan’s interest was piqued, and a staff mber soon approached them to explain the details.

The store specialized in handcrafted amber, creating gemstone-like pieces similar to natural amber using specially formulated potions. By incorporating spirit materials into their formula, their version of “amber” turned out even more beautiful than the natural variety.

While helping Xiao Ji select a flower to encase in amber, Feng Yuan asked the nearby staff mber,

“Can we make our own mold for that?”

“Uh? You an the mold used for shaping the amber? That’s possible, but I wouldn’t recomnd it. Our molds are made from durable stone materials, so if your carving skills aren’t quite refined…”

“No problem~”

Smirking with confidence, Feng Yuan replied. Long Boduo imdiately squeezed over with an eager look and said,

“Carve one for too! I want one!”

Glancing at Feng Yuan, Agunas couldn’t help but caution,

“It’s fine if you want to carve it, but be mindful of the ti—after all, we’re here to have fun.”

“There’s no rush. If you want to make it, we can wait.”

Qi Chen quickly chid in. Truth be told, he was more interested in trying out the Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts’ nutrition recipe than sightseeing, so waiting wasn’t an issue. Dou Yanlan silently followed Qi Chen, smiling faintly. She knew Delian City wasn’t all that different from other cities, and even if they sought out places to explore, it would mostly just involve taking pictures anyway.

Strolling through a city filled with flowers was undeniably delightful, even romantic. However, Yanlan’s straightforward personality ant she didn’t care much for such sentints, especially as Delian City lacked the charming alleys for indulging in these experiences.

Quiet places had poor scenery, while scenic spots were packed with tourists, so she didn’t mind spending the day here. Besides, the store’s ambiance wasn’t half bad.

“It’s a pity I can’t help with carving a mold.”

Dou Yanlan stroked Cotton’s fur lightly as she spoke regretfully. Unlike Feng Yuan, who could effortlessly carve whatever he envisioned, she was certain that any mold she attempted would end up looking like a random roadside stone.

Cotton placed its paw on Dou Yanlan’s hand and owed softly, seemingly telling her not to worry.

Najia thought for a mont and turned to Yang Hongzhi, suggesting,

“How about we make our own mold as well?”

“But I don’t know how to carve…”

Scratching his head nervously, Yang Hongzhi admitted his lack of carving skills. Unlike Feng Yuan, he wasn’t particularly talented in arts and crafts. Najia shook her head slightly and said,

“I’ll carve the mold. You handle mixing the potion and placing the flower. What do you think?”

“That works. Sorry, this was supposed to be a gift for you, but now you have to make it yourself.”

“Actually, this way makes it more aningful.”

Beaming radiantly, Najia replied while looking at Yang Hongzhi.

“At this rate, are you sure you’ll have enough ti?”

Qi Chen asked worriedly as he glanced at the stack of molds. Feng Yuan’s carving efficiency was astonishing. Najia had just finished carving Xiao Hui’s mold, and Feng Yuan had already completed molds for Xiao Ji and the others. Now all that remained was making molds for the Divine Beasts.

“What do you think? Don’t worry, I have it all under control.”

Waving dismissively, Feng Yuan glanced at the mold in front of Xiao Ji. By now, Xiao Ji’s amber was fully prepared and only needed ti to solidify before it could be removed.

Big Cat was troubled, deliberating over which flower to choose. The white flower resembled its feathers, but would its color clash with the amber? The purple flower with speckled patterns seed appealing, but was it too peculiar? Big Cat sank deep into a decision-making dilemma.

Kong Qing, on the other hand, didn’t overthink things and quickly chose a flower that caught his eye. After a while, Long Boduo took the mold Feng Yuan handed him and asked,

“What do you think about using a Mingzhu Flower?”

“It’s better to use the materials here. I’m not sure if they’ll have conflicts with the Mingzhu Flower.”

Glancing at Long Boduo, Feng Yuan replied helplessly. Mingzhu Flowers, which bloom in the Netherworld, wouldn’t have been considered when choosing materials for this store. Netherworld items often had unique properties, making their compatibility uncertain.

“Alright then…”

“What’s a Mingzhu Flower?”

A staff mber asked curiously. While they provided all necessary materials, they didn’t object to custors bringing their own. Hearing her question, Long Boduo pulled out a ghostly blue flower with pale flas flickering at its core and said,

“This is it.”

Seeing the flower emanating death energy, its center burning with faint blue flas, the staff mber smiled awkwardly and said,

“Um, unfortunately, our materials conflict with items infused with death energy—so, we can’t use it as raw material.”

“No surprises there.”

Feng Yuan wasn’t the least bit surprised. Netherworld items were notoriously tricky to mix with ordinary ones, so this turn of events was to be expected.

Long Boduo seed disappointed at first but quickly got over it and began picking out flowers.
