Despite the opponent’s strength, they appeared overwheld by the academy’s trap, navigating through it under Dou Yanlan’s influence and moving into traps. Qi Chen’s cooperation with Dou Yanlan was so seamless that it seed pre-planned.
However, knowing Qi Chen, Feng Yuan understood that Qi Chen couldn’t co up with such tactics. Even if he tried executing them himself, it might not go as well. Yet, his rapport with Dou Yanlan was indeed high.
"Aren’t you going to help out?"
Agunas asked curiously as Feng Yuan arrived in a hurry but didn’t act. Laughing, Feng Yuan replied,

For most people facing a Commander or the like, the best way is not to follow their lead, start with a burst of ultimate moves, and then retreat regardless of success. Unless one had strength like Feng Yuan’s, able to crush them, whereby cunning sches would be futile, entering their rhythm typically leads to a disastrous outco.
