"This thing... has a significant impact, so why is it so unknown?"
Dou Yanlan looked at Feng Yuan in confusion. Although she didn’t say it outright, she suspected that this thing probably had a serious flaw. With a shrug, Feng Yuan shook his head and said,
"It’s due to its special flaw; you’ll know when you try it."
"Won’t it have side effects or cause harm to the Spirit Beast?"
With suspicion in his eyes, Qi Chen looked at Feng Yuan, feeling a bit worried. Feng Yuan smiled helplessly and rubbed Xiao Ji’s head furiously, saying,
"Of course not. Besides, that thing might be useless to you, so don’t expect too much."
Xiao Ji glared at Feng Yuan and protested with dissatisfaction. It didn’t understand why it was excluded once again. However, Feng Yuan didn’t want to explain much. He walked into the descending passage where the feeling of an aquarium beca even stronger.
A staircase spiraled down along a curved wall, featuring special rock railings. At the handrail position, there was a recess about two adult fists wide, where lake water surged from a dragon-shaped outlet on the side.
Occasionally, Ice Crystal Fish would swiftly slide down this shallow groove, and on the side close to the wall, the staircase left a gap about a ter wide instead of sticking tightly to the wall. The lake water flowed down from the opening above it, passing through the waterways between the staircase and the curved wall.
Moreover, in this waterway, there were drop holes allowing lake water to flow down to the next level. Compared to the groove, the water flow on this side seed more rapid.
At the center of this cylindrical space, abundant sky-blue luminescent bubbles floated, which Feng Yuan knew were produced by the Crystal Bubble Flowers planted below as a light source.
After floating for a short while, these luminescent bubbles would pop like air bubbles with a "boop", and then a new bubble would rise from below to fill the gap.
Observing the cylindrical space, Veronia said with great interest,
"This looks nice; it could serve as a leisure place, very good~"
Feng Yuan smiled without saying much. The teor Pavilion was right below, and he led the group slowly down the staircase spiraling around the periter of the cylindrical space. The lower they went, the more luminescent bubbles appeared, but their size decreased. Halfway through, the luminescent bubbles flickered and floated like stars in the central space.
"It’s truly beautiful, and..."
Looking at the circular ring suspended in mid-air not far away, Feng Yuan shook his head. Eight waterways extended from the edge walls, caught and guided by a circular ring waterway, channeling the descending lake water from above through eight tunnels to the central large ring.
The outer stone wall of the central ring waterway was lower than the inner ring. Apart from water flowing through drop holes to multiple lower rings, a part of it poured down like a waterfall curtain. As they continued downward, these circular ring water curtains beca more nurous. Dou Yanlan asked worriedly,
"Will doing this damage the teor Pavilion? After all, during the Dynasty Era, pavilions should have been primarily wooden."
"Not really. They definitely took this into account when designing it."
Gazing at the tiered water curtains cascading down like the Star River, Feng Yuan shook his head and said that although it began as a ring, further below, the curtain changed into aurora-like curves.
Reaching the lowest point, the mist from the water curtains rose, bathing the area in the glow of the luminescent lantern grass, making it resemble a starry night fairyland.
"This place is quite beautiful; if refurbished properly, it might even be developed as a tourist attraction? However, given the functionality of the teor Pavilion, that’s probably impossible."
Feng Yuan casually dismissed his own idea with a shake of his head. The unique nature of the teor Pavilion made the possibility of fully opening this place extrely low. Even though it had flaws, it provided tangible temporary boosts of rank power, and such a thing can’t be easily accessed even in modern tis.
"Perhaps they’ll relocate the teorite from within the teor Pavilion, and then this place might open up as a sightseeing spot."
After a mont of contemplation, Dou Yanlan said, pinching her chin. Feng Yuan chuckled, taking out a cara and said,
"The possibility is there, but not likely. That teorite isn’t sothing that can be easily transported, and they can’t guarantee its abilities remain after it’s moved. They won’t gamble, so they won’t touch the teorite. I’m taking so commorative photos with Xiao Ji; you all can take your ti, this place doesn’t have many chanisms."
Feng Yuan waved the cara in his hand and said, catching Xiao Ji’s interest. Nearby, Big Cat cried out and unfurled its wings as if reminding Feng Yuan not to forget about it. As Feng Yuan and Xiao Ji snapped photos, Professor Li and others finally stepped into the underground space belonging to the teor Pavilion.
Amazed by the intricate setup, Professor Li imdiately deduced that this area shouldn’t contain any dangerously elaborate chanisms, unless it’s part of so royal tomb.
Passing through multiple tiers of water curtains, Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan finally saw the wooden pavilion at the center. Contrary to their expectations, this pavilion had no door panels. Rather than a pavilion, it might even better be described as a gazebo.
Through the entrance, they saw the offering table adorned with intricate carvings, where a massive yet inconspicuous teorite lay quietly in slumber. The pavilion consisted of three levels, but from the entrance, they didn’t see any paths leading to the second floor. Naturally, with the teorite right in front of them, thoughts of ascending wouldn’t cross their minds.
The pavilion was carved with more care than the previous structures. Even before approaching, Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan unconsciously lightened their footsteps for fear of disturbing this tranquil land. Even Cotton returned to perch nervously on Dou Yanlan’s shoulder, looking ahead with a low tail.
The Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts remained mostly carefree, continuing to frolic beside Ah Mu; the solemn and oppressive atmosphere here had no impact on them.
"Should we give it a try?"
Arriving at the offering table, staring at the rather unimpressive gray-black teorite, Qi Chen whispered to Dou Yanlan, who pinched her chin before shaking her head, saying,
"Wait for him to co over; after all, this will affect them. We can’t arbitrarily make such an important decision even if they agree."
Cotton rubbed its head against Dou Yanlan, flicked its tail, and gazed at the teorite, sensing its unique power. However, without Dou Yanlan’s order, it wouldn’t approach on its own.
Ah Mu stood quietly by the side, blocking the Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts from getting closer. Those three little creatures seed eager to play on the teorite, but Ah Mu halted their actions, to their dissatisfaction. The Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts incessantly sought chances to escape its restraint.
After a while, Feng Yuan ca over, seeing Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan standing before the teorite, and curiously asked,
"What are you doing?"
"Is this the teorite? Truly peculiar, how does that strange energy field form?"
Agunas flicked his tail in amazent at the peculiar energy field of the teorite, which to him seed exceptional. It wasn’t outright compelling to Spirit Beasts, but the energy field drew their attention nonetheless. Yet, if unaware of the teorite’s uniqueness, it was just a special rock to Spirit Beasts.
They wouldn’t treat it particularly but also wouldn’t ignore it. Curious Spirit Beasts like the restored Flower Leaf Tree Three Spirit Beasts persistently attempted to approach the teorite.
Xiao Ji spread its wings and let out a plaintive cry. Amused, Feng Yuan petted Xiao Ji’s head, saying,
"Alright, haven’t you changed forms enough? This thing isn’t suitable for you."
Knowing what Xiao Ji desired, Feng Yuan patted its little belly and said,
"At most, this can temporarily boost your rank power, truly useful to you? Besides, once the effect wears off, you’ll enter a weakened state. For you, this is pointless."
Reflecting on sothing, Feng Yuan spoke to Qi Chen and the others, saying,
"Of course, this is quite significant for you. A temporary boost can be a lifesaving asure in certain situations."
"Really, no problem?"
Qi Chen felt swayed by Feng Yuan’s words. Such a temporary boost might be trivial to Feng Yuan, given his strength, but for him and Dou Yanlan, it was a valuable trump card.
"Certainly, if there were an issue, Agunas would have intervened."
Glancing at Agunas, Feng Yuan shrugged and said.
